£9.50 on hotdogs and milkshakes for lunch today naughty but delicious

Sold things on eBay. Just got home, whipped off the jeans I was wearing and have listed them - they just don't sit right on me. Sigh.

Tea tonight is homemade pizza and a homemade date night. Beers and a movie on telly. Yay.

Unescorted · 04/09/2015 17:53

Hi All,

had a not so spendy day in Manchester today - frugal win if you have a GMPTE travel card (season ticket) an accompanied child return is ?1. Thanks to the very fine station master at our local station. We mooched around the shops, library and gallery. Drinks and food by Aldi...

NK good to see you back.

Spotty I did that with a teapot .... it hurts, but not so much that he can't put the dishwasher in.

Girlfriend36 · 04/09/2015 18:12

Ouch that sounds nasty Spotty I would tell him to keep it clean and dry and see how it goes, if looks like pressure is building up or any signs of infection a trip to a&e might be needed.

North I can completely understand why you feel angry about that especially when I can see some areas in which the NHS continue to waste money!

peppansalt · 04/09/2015 18:48

Aaargh, what to get friend who's 50 tomorrow??

Unescorted · 04/09/2015 18:49

A will, hair dye and a new husband....

peppansalt · 04/09/2015 18:52

It's a man Grin. He's Aussie and we're off to his party tomorrow

Girlfriend36 · 04/09/2015 18:56

booze? Nice bottle of whiskey?

Unescorted · 04/09/2015 18:56

lose the hair dye...

Ememem84 · 04/09/2015 19:14

In the last 30 minutes made £20 selling on eBay. Yippee!

AuditAngel · 04/09/2015 19:15

Hi everyone. £10 to get the car wash, can reclaim from work.

£18 in Claire's was buying earrings for the girls for tomorrow's wedding, they were 3 for 2 so I got a pair for me too.

£8 in Smiths buying a document wallet, see through plastic wallet and a duplicate receipt book for the dancing costumes which I will now be responsible for collecting money for. It is a tough job, but the upside is that in future I will only pay for material for DD2's costumes, not for them to be made up (saves me about £25 per costume, or about £200 for the last show)

lilacclery · 04/09/2015 19:21

My new au pair is 50 tomo I was at a loss at what to get, she's only here a week! Just saw her lighting candles for her room & I've a Yankee set going spare, frugal win once I check they're not Christmas theme they were a late Christmas gift!

Aussie 50 male is it too late to get his name printed on beer labels? Heineken do that in Ireland or get an aged whiskey?

Going to try baked oats recipe for breakfast, not keen on sachets of seeded porridge I bought so this might use one up

Hello! NSD (I think)

I found a local SW Facebook charity (which was 60 miles away). It was headlining on our local news website. They posted the stuff they needed to take to Calais. Random stuff like gaffer tape, tents, sauce pans and men's shoes. I assume there are more scattered around the country. Smile HTH

bangbangprettypretty · 04/09/2015 19:35

NSD for me today!

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/09/2015 19:39

Dh got loads of malt whisky for his birthday.

Just watching the eat well for less program, I wont eat spreads because they all contain palm oil and I don't like what they do clearing orangutans habitat to grow palm. I would consider making my own spread though.

You know it's bad when your kids are requesting vegetables.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/09/2015 19:43

£4.25 on a paint tester pot.

candybar · 04/09/2015 20:15

First NSD today Grin

First day back at work yesterday, wan't half as bad as I had feared after 6 weeks off, spent £30 on petrol and 68p on a bottle of Evian, plus had a tesco delivery £67.20.

Had my Groupon Hair appointment today, six inches cut off!

Will read through the rest of todays messages and catch up, being back at work is somewhat inconvienient as I can't stop by the thread every hour or so.

lilacclery · 04/09/2015 20:27

I have just checked my bank account on line and slightly panicking! It is showing that I have a payment of £1 pending. I honestly don't think I have used my card to spend £1. Wonder what on earth its for - am wondering if I need to move the rest of my money into another account.

candybar · 04/09/2015 20:34

I do keep flicking my hair to find it isn't there, looks much healthier though and I wanted a fair bit chopped off as I'm terrible for leaving it too long and getting split ends, also I feel at 35 I'm far too old for very long hair...

AdoraBell · 04/09/2015 20:38

£7 yesterday at farmers market, Beetroot, carrots, onions, raspberries, plums, damsons, a rosemary plant and a Chilli plant.

NSD today.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/09/2015 20:39

Fish Have you bought petrol? it's always petrol when that happens to me.

I'm growing my hair back to mid back length and dont feel too old for it.

fishfortea · 04/09/2015 20:44

I did buy petrol but that was taken out on the 31 August. But it wasn't for £1 more like £39!! Am racking my brains, did wonder if I have bought a new kindle book but pretty sure I haven't as I know I have about 20 to read and have set myself a target not to buy any until at least the end of October!
