So as the title says I'm triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral this morning. I've had what I thought was a cold for a few days and was testing every day due to seeing family over Xmas and have tested negative until today. Dp is also positive with no symptoms and dd17 is also positive and feels rough. Dp triple jabbed and dd double jabbed. We all have pcr's tomorrow.
So any fellow positive people come join in and let's get through isolation together

Well lucky you for getter a PCR! DH started sneezing and felt like he had a cold this evening. Did a test and it’s positive so did around that’s positive too. No PCRS available anywhere but Wales! I am negative, he was negative yesterday.

Benjispruce5 · 29/12/2021 23:15

Ops he was triple jabbed 3 weeks ago , I was in October.

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 29/12/2021 23:17

My in-laws tested positive today, both are triple jabbed. They only tested as we were due to meet up tomorrow morning, although FIL has since developed cold symptoms.

I had two days of cold, headache and nausea but am so far testing negative. My booster was about 10 weeks ago so I’m hoping I’m still reasonably protected.

Meh2020 · 29/12/2021 23:28

Also tripled jabbed. Tested positive on a LFT yesterday and had a PCR this morning.

Feeling rough with a relentless cough, headache, hot and cold… anyone know how long these symptoms last? Just want to feel better again!

There will be tests available, I tried yesterday and had the same no test available, just keep going with the booking and it will give you a test, may be the next day but you will be offered an appointment.

Me and DH triple jabbed. He tested positive last weds, me and DD1 on Christmas Eve, DD2 Christmas Day. Both double jabbed. DS has had one jab and is still negative.

Been a head cold lasting about 4 days for each of us. Practically back to normal now!

Bloody frustrating to have to cancel everything over Christmas yet again though.

icclemunchy · 30/12/2021 02:18

Tripped jabbed and had a positive lft 26th. Pcr came back positive on the 28th 😤

I don't feel unwell as such but I'm getting weirdly breathless if I try and do the smallest thing and I'm sleeping 18+ hours a day. If this is mild I dread to think what the fatigue is like for those who aren't jabbed!

The kids had it before Xmas, so it's just OH left. He's triple jabbed too though so maybe he'll miss it

Jobseeker19 · 30/12/2021 02:26

Almost every one that I know that has had booster has come down with covid. Myself included. I really think the jabs are not protecting against the new variant.

DeclareThePenniesOnYourEyes · 30/12/2021 02:32

👋🏻 Hello! And solidarity!

I am thrice jabbed and developed symptoms seven days ago. A PCR confirmed what the LFT had said on 24th.

Felt very ill with a bad headache and aching/sweating for around five days. Yesterday I felt a bit better (headache gone) and today I feel considerably better although absolutely knackered. Sleeping 10hrs at night and another five in the day. The cough is probably the worst of it: ribs hurt from it now and I literally have a coughing fit whenever I move still.

DD aged 7 has it but with just the cough (and not as bad as mine). She tested positive on 26th. So far DD aged 5 and husband (also triple jabbed) have avoided it.

It’s been utterly foul and everyone saying it’s mild can fuck off- I’ve not felt this rough since I had pneumonia one year after the flu.

Peanut82 · 30/12/2021 04:53

I don't feel great but I don't feel the worst I've ever felt, hopefully I won't get any worse. The most annoying symptom for me at the moment is the runny nose, im constantly blowing it.
This is the first time I've ever needed a PCR, and my gag reflex is terrible. Are they really that bad?

What do you mean by that? Have you not noticed that all these boosted people have been fine with mild symptoms? That's the point of the jab.
crystal90210 · 30/12/2021 06:03

I didn't think the jabs stop you getting Covid? Just make the symptoms less severe for most.

They have NEVER said they stop you getting it .It makes the difference between a life threatening serious illness and just an illness .

Look at the number of infections and how many people in hospital or dying thats what the vaccine is doing .

BearPear · 30/12/2021 06:14

DH tested positive yesterday, I am negative. We have ordered PCR tests in the post as there’s no slots nearby for him to get tested. There are no LFTs to be found anywhere which makes me worry about him testing on days 6 & 7 (and also for me to check my own status).
We are both triple jabbed. We have a holiday booked in February and I’m worried that his return PCR will still show positive and we will be in this situation again - although we’re lucky that we can both work from home.

Marmelace · 30/12/2021 06:37

My son tested positive yesterday after coming home from work, it was expected, 18 out of 40 at his work have now tested positive. Triple jabbed here and heyo wouldn't you know, positive for me this morning. Aching like mad, but that's most likely my neuropathy, my sugar levels are all over the show. Apart from having 3 chronics I'm strong, so here goes.

GoodnightGrandma · 30/12/2021 06:40

Lots of people where I work triple jabbed and now getting it.

ProperVexed · 30/12/2021 07:26

Family of four triple faxed adults here. Three of us had positive lft on Christmas Day followed by positive pcr on Boxing Day. I am only one with symptoms...mild cold and a thick head. DH has escaped so far.
I blame the D S recently home from university.....

Peanut82 · 30/12/2021 07:59

Hope we all feel better soon

@Jobseeker19 the vaccines don't stop us catching it they just stop us being hospitalised or seriously I'll

Today I feel a bit achey but I don't feel any worse than yesterday
DP still not a single symptom and dd had lost her taste and is achey

DS not vaccinated (medical reasons) lft positive 6 days ago. Still waiting PCR test. Symptoms mild and cold like.

Me triple jabbed not got it yet but waiting for inevitable.

DP test negative yesterday but feeling rough now so expecting positive lft later today - he is double vaccinated.

This is second time around for us (we think) as had it in early 2020 but no tests then so can't be sure although hospital doctors assume we had it.

Oh joy....

Monty27 · 30/12/2021 08:13

I'm all vaxed up. I can't stop thinking we're being conned.
What used to be a winter cold has now been labelled under the umbrella of COVID-19 and prettily named Omicron. Wtf?
It.is.a.cold.
I hope I don't turn in my grave regretting those words.
I have a respiratory condition and still still surviving very well.
There's more to this than meets the eye. I'm aware of the statistics. It was horrendous.
But I've even stopped believing them.
A very close relative did indeed contract covid in the early days and just about survived, so I'm not denegrating COVID-19.
I'm really not sure where we're at now though.
Lost the faith i guess.

Peanut82 · 30/12/2021 08:18

@Monty27 I'm asthmatic and so far thankfully my breathing is unaffected

Hey there, thought I’d join the party 🎉 I’m triple vaxed, woke up this morning with a headache and scratchy throat and LF came up positive straight away. I’m in Suffolk and can’t get a PCR.

DH and both DD’s negative. I’ve taken myself off to the spare room. I’ve got a couple of heart conditions and am on long term antibiotics for a chronic infection so my immune system isn’t at its beat right now so a little nervous.

The only time we’ve left the house was to go to Tesco on Monday afternoon, that’s the only place I could’ve got this, so it’s developed in less than 3 days which is quite fast I think.

Hoping the triple vax helps abs we shake it. My DD age 5 had it last Christmas and became quite poorly with the cough, desperately hoping I haven’t given her this now. Get well soon everyone 💗

Same. The stats are incredible as in unbelievable. It's like a zombie apocalypse film. Or at least what I imagine such a film would be like as I've never seen one but can't help thinking I'm living in one. If that makes sense. It's bizarre

Cocothebear · 30/12/2021 08:36

Anyone else keep getting waves of nausea?

dibly · 30/12/2021 08:36

This is more than a cold for me, started Xmas eve and still feel rough. It feels like full blown flu, aches, banging head, blocked sinuses, dry itchy cough, night sweats and now loss of taste and smell. Triple vaxxed
