So as the title says I'm triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral this morning. I've had what I thought was a cold for a few days and was testing every day due to seeing family over Xmas and have tested negative until today. Dp is also positive with no symptoms and dd17 is also positive and feels rough. Dp triple jabbed and dd double jabbed. We all have pcr's tomorrow.
So any fellow positive people come join in and let's get through isolation together

I tested positive on two lateral flows, did a PCR today just waiting on confirmation. I feel rotten, and isolating on my own. Just poured myself a Jack and Coke.

The thing that annoys me is the difference in isolation periods between England and Scotland (im Scotland). Does coronavirus really differentiate between its infectious period depending on its location 😂? I know a lot of people in Scotland going by the English rules. It's all a mess!

Also how's everyone's appetite? I just can't be bothered eating

@Plantsandpuddlesuits thanks

Your own!

user1471550643 · 31/12/2021 20:55

Can I join please? 2 jabs and booster and tested positive on Christmas Day .. that was fun! Now on day 6 and still positive . It’s been a quiet one!

Benjispruce5 · 31/12/2021 20:58

Hello @user1471550643 Smile

Benjispruce5 · 31/12/2021 20:59

Just think, by the time I’m positive courtesy of DH, you’ll be swanning about in 2022!Wink

Peanut82 · 31/12/2021 21:02
@piscis that’s unlucky! Op I think it’s for the best that you have it together. We’ve made a decision that we have to live our lives so I’m not isolating from DH, we are alone tonight and it would be bloody miserable for him to be on his own so we’re quaffing champagne in front of the fire even though it’s flippin too warm out! DD’s are keeping away, testing negative and are at friend’s tonight. Happy new year fellow posters!
Oh definitely! We didn't isolate from each other anyway.
DD6 had a faint positive on a lateral tonight but is currently symptomless. I've had a couple of lagers that we had in from Christmas, I prefer wine but got none in and can't go buy any. I'm exhausted tonight not sure I'll last til midnight

Positive pcr this morning, fully jabbed and didn’t get it from dc when they had covid a few months ago, so guessing I am the omicron version.

Exhausteddog · 31/12/2021 21:14

I had close contact with a family member on 27th who tested positive on 28th. Been taking lfts every day since then (and before seeing them) and all of us tested positive today. We all woke up with cold symptoms although looking back I did sneeze quite a lot yesterday afternoon. Looked all morning for pcr tests - website reported none available. Finally got some between 2.30 and 3pm but the site was so badly/non existently signposted that we missed it, went on a huge diversion and finally saw the (pathetic) sign and arrived at 3.05 when they had packed up. Got home and booked another one for tomorrow. Blush

Have missed seeing family (because the other member tested positive) and we were looking forward (well the kids weren't 🤣) to going on some walks and I'd planned to meet a friend for a run on Monday. As it is we'll just be isolating til back to school/work.

I had my booster 2 weeks tomorrow so probably not fully protected and DD only had her 2nd jab this week.

Benjispruce5 · 31/12/2021 21:46

Our test site was poorly signposted too. Luckily I’d been before. That was a quick infection. We were with family on 28th(negative LFTs) then positive for DH on 29th night time) but family are all negative so far. Maybe tomorrow? Feel bad but just shows negative LFTs don’t show early infection.

Peanut82 · 31/12/2021 22:02

@Benjispruce5 I had symptoms and tested every day for 4 days before I tested positive

MajesticWhine · 31/12/2021 22:49

I'm triple jabbed and on day 8 of covid now. I am still testing positive so no early get out. None of my family have caught it from me and they are all out celebrating new years eve without me. Absolutely pissed off with this and can't wait for freedom on Monday.
Happy new year everyone Wine

Benjispruce5 · 31/12/2021 23:39

Amazing that your family haven’t caught it @MajesticWhine. Have you isolated from them?

MajesticWhine · 01/01/2022 00:59

@Benjispruce5 not seriously isolated no. In the first few days after testing positive I put a mask on when I was around them, except when eating and drinking. We all had Christmas lunch together. But no hugs or kisses. So a sort of half hearted attempt really. They must be all super immune for some reason.

Peanut82 · 01/01/2022 06:13

Happy New Year everyone!
I was in bed and asleep way before midnight last night I was exhausted. Covid is so draining!

So today is officially my day 6, I'm not hopeful my lateral will be negative but fingers crossed. Freedom on the 5th January if not.
How's everyone feeling today? I don't feel too bad, a bit sniffly but otherwise okay. I find I feel different as the day goes on though if that makes sense?

Daisychainsandglitter · 01/01/2022 06:54

Can I join? Triple vaxxed. DH tested positive Tuesday. I've had the inevitabie positive lateral flow this morning.

Peanut82 · 01/01/2022 07:41

Just done my lateral, it's still positive but a lot fainter. At least I'm making progress

OP posts:
Peanut82 · 01/01/2022 07:41

@Daisychainsandglitter welcome 🤗

OP posts:
Daisychainsandglitter · 01/01/2022 07:46

Glad you're making progress @Peanut82 and it's hopefully on the way out.

Peanut82 · 01/01/2022 07:54

So do I still have to isolate until day 10?

OP posts:
Benjispruce5 · 01/01/2022 09:00

I was wondering that @Peanut82. If you get a negative on day 6&7 or 7&8 for example. Anyone know?

Benjispruce5 · 01/01/2022 09:00

I’m still negative this morning.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 01/01/2022 10:10

I believe its 2 consecutive days so can be 6 and 7 or 7 and 8, 8 and 9 or even 9 and 10. Still worth doing on day 10 if you have been doing them in the morning as you can leave isolation straight away on day 10 if you are negative in the morning of day 9 and 10 whereas if you wait the full 10dats it has to be after midnight on the 10th day. That's how I've interpreted it anyway.

Day 6 here ill test in a bit, blazing positive yesterday so not getting my hopes up. Day 10 is when children go back to school so ideally I'd like to be out before then so can do something as a family out of the house, dh has been taking them out but I want to go too!

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 01/01/2022 10:12

Dh is still amazingly negative as our my children old enough to test, we haven't been doing anything differently so I'm surprised!
