So as the title says I'm triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral this morning. I've had what I thought was a cold for a few days and was testing every day due to seeing family over Xmas and have tested negative until today. Dp is also positive with no symptoms and dd17 is also positive and feels rough. Dp triple jabbed and dd double jabbed. We all have pcr's tomorrow.
So any fellow positive people come join in and let's get through isolation together

Good news Benjispruce5 . I’m on day 7?and still tested a strong positive again this morning. Amazingly my a partner hasn’t come down with it yet either.

Peanut82 · 01/01/2022 10:38

That's good, I'm just getting up now to do a test

Benjispruce5 · 01/01/2022 10:49

Thanks. DH had two bright positives on the day he discovered it. The next morning he was still in disbelief and tested again and it was very faint. Then got PCR that morning that was positive. I’m thinking maybe he’s had it longer than we thought and it just didn’t show on LFT. He’s feeling fine on official day 4. He’s a caged tiger though as he’s always active so he’s set up his turbo trainer in the garage to keep fit.

LethargeMarg · 01/01/2022 10:53

I'm feeling a lot better today day 4 technically (symptoms started late Monday but didn't get positive lateral flow or pcr till Tuesday) and have finally had a full nights sleep not been woken all night coughing
However I have such a sore mouth and tongue. Feel like I have ulcers all round my tongue.
Sore throat and cough noticeably much better today

Benjispruce5 · 01/01/2022 10:55

@LethargeMarg are you triple jabbed?

Benjispruce5 · 01/01/2022 10:58

Just read back that you are.Sound like you’ve had it quite bad. Flowers

LethargeMarg · 01/01/2022 11:02

I've had it worse than dh and dd but my booster was over ten weeks ago so wondering if it's worn off a bit
To be fair although I've felt crap I've not been bed ridden or anything like that and definitely feeling pretty normal today

Frazzled2207 · 01/01/2022 11:07

@Peanut82

So do I still have to isolate until day 10?
No if you’re negative tomorrow and sun you can leave isolation on Sunday

A friend of mine went from full on positive to no line at all overnight

HighlandCowbag · 01/01/2022 11:08

Both me and dh triple jabbed, booster was 11th December. Dh tested positive 21st, me on 27th. Dh has heavy cold symptoms, a temp, and bad chesty cough and gastro symptoms. I've just been a bit tired, mild headaches and a scratchy throat for half a day.

Ds and dd remain negative. Dd double jabbed but ds not old enough.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 01/01/2022 11:22

Uurgh mines still blazing positive.

So, after saying DH is negative I had a look at his he left it on the side and there's a grey line but it was done a few hours ago, not sure what to think.

He isn't leaving the house today anyway and will so another one tomorrow

Benjispruce5 · 01/01/2022 11:35

DH is day 4 , or 3 since day after and his LFT is negative just now. I know he is still in isolation but he’s hoping it bodes well for day 6.

Benjispruce5 · 01/01/2022 11:36

I’ve told him off for wasting an LFT! We managed to order some this morning luckily.

jewel1968 · 01/01/2022 18:59

DP now positive (double jabbed). Mild symptoms. I am still negative (triple jabbed). Ds coming out the other end day 7 and LF very faint positive. Lost all sense of smell though.

Peanut82 · 02/01/2022 06:37

Day 7 for me today, I'll do another lateral flow soon, fingers crossed it's negative.
My sense of smell seems to have gone today though

Lateral still positive 🙄

Oh dear. Try testing at night tomorrow, then at least it’s the same day but more time for the virus to clear. So long as the tests are 24 hrs apart it’s ok. You’d still be free then morning after negative test 2.

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 08:24

Or maybe you’re not day 7? Could your earlier symptoms have been a genuine cold as you had results around same time as my DH didn’t you @Peanut82?

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 09:53

I’m still negative.

Flambola · 02/01/2022 09:57

Peanut you may have to resign yourself to isolating for the full ten days!

I’m on day 4 and feel a bit rotten - it’s my chest really, got a phlegmy cough and it’s so sore. I think I may have pulled a muscle from the coughing because I keep thinking I’m having a heart attack Hmm (I have GAD).

WreckTangled · 02/01/2022 10:01

Me too. Although I had my booster almost four months ago now so could have worn off? Dh had his three weeks ago and is still negative. I had a positive lft on Wednesday and felt really ill that evening but am much better now although still dizzy and headachy. My PCR finally came back this morning.

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 10:11

Mine was October too and DH’s only 3/4 weeks ago and he’s positive, not me! So, who knows?

WreckTangled · 02/01/2022 10:16

There doesn't seem to be any reasoning does there? Still time for dh to test positive I guess. Ds was first on Boxing Day, dd and I Wednesday. Ds is still testing positive on lft but will be out of isolation just in time to go back to school much to his disappointment Grin

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 02/01/2022 10:17

Morning all

I'm starting to worry about how much this illness has affected me, day 7 now and am about to test up not holding much hope.

I am getting better each day but I'm utterly exhausted I've not long woken up, went to sleep around midnight, little things tire e out eg when cooking dinner I have to sit down every few minutes, I can't lift a plate of food etc. I really hope I don't get long covid.

What makes no sense is that im probably going to have to isolate until day 10 I understand that which is Wednesday so on Wednesday I can't leave the house etc but on Thursday I'll be expected to do school run 4 miles a day, go to toddlrr group etc, have my toddler all day etc, at the moment I can barely make it up and down the stairs Sad

Benjispruce5 · 02/01/2022 11:03

Sounds like you have more of the classic symptoms @Plantsandpuddlesuits. DH is pretty much his normal self. He is quite fit but a about 6 weeks ago he had a chest infection, negative PCR etc but it really knocked him. I guess it’s like any respiratory infection in that some get it mild and some get pneumonia!
