So as the title says I'm triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral this morning. I've had what I thought was a cold for a few days and was testing every day due to seeing family over Xmas and have tested negative until today. Dp is also positive with no symptoms and dd17 is also positive and feels rough. Dp triple jabbed and dd double jabbed. We all have pcr's tomorrow.
So any fellow positive people come join in and let's get through isolation together

Ah that’s interesting. It was a drive through but so was the 48 hr one. I’m impressed with that speed in the current climate though.

Karmagoat · 30/12/2021 21:38

Can I join (im unvaccinated though). Dh and dd had covid just before Christmas ( dd was fine very mild, dh was more like flu) they're both fine now. Thought id got away with it but then started feeling achey on Boxing day and tested positive the following day.Just have cold like symptoms, bit nauseous and tickly cough.
More fed up with not being able to go out really.

Peanut82 · 30/12/2021 22:04

@Plantsandpuddlesuits that's quite fast to say the amount of tests they'll be doing.
That makes me hopeful, mine was at 9.30 this morning at a drive through, no result yet though

@Karmagoat I thought I'd enjoy isolation...I don't 😂

I know! Couldn't believe it! It was in a different county to where we live if that makes a difference! No closer ones available

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 30/12/2021 22:08

I'm feeling absolutely awful, triple jabbed had booster in November as in priority group. I can barely stand! Think it's day 4 or 5 now

Peanut82 · 30/12/2021 22:10

I've felt rough all day but feeling a bit better tonight. I started on Boxing Day with what I thought was a cold, was testing negative every day and tested positive yesterday morning

@Jobseeker19

Almost every one that I know that has had booster has come down with covid. Myself included. I really think the jabs are not protecting against the new variant.
Show many have been hospitalised??

Maybe think on that before saying the jabs aren't protecting people!!

Joining the group. I'm triple jabbed (got my booster 8 days ago) and just tested positive on two lateral flows. I'm in Scotland and can't get a PCR appointment at all. Annoying.

My symptoms have largely been (so far) a really scratchy and sore throat/chest with a sore cough and a very blocked/bunged up nose. I've noticed my appetite has gone a little and I feel quite nauseous.

I can't bare the thought of isolating on my own for 10days. My mental health is going to be awful

UndertheCedartree · 31/12/2021 01:24

@Cocothebear

Anyone else keep getting waves of nausea?
Yes. Didn't have nausea last time but this time we all have it.

I'm day 5 - anyone started getting chest pain?

Rosycheeks21 · 31/12/2021 01:39

I woke up this morning feeling very headachey and just put it down to eating a load of crap over Christmas/not drinking enough clear fluids.

Started to get a runny nose & achey limbs so decided to test. The second line was prominent within 10 mins! DP is negative but will continue to test.

My booster was booked for next week but now have to cancel. :(

Flambola · 31/12/2021 06:06

I got my positive PCR result today - test yesterday.

Triple jabbed. Feels like a bad cold although moving to my chest which is making me need my inhaler much more.

Symptoms this time round starting off were sneezing, sore throat, nausea/vomiting, runny nose and aches. The aches, runny nose and sneezing has abated but I’m coughing and wheezing a bit now. Hopefully those vaccines will do their job and it won’t get any worse ey.

I’m isolating from my DD6 and the poor thing is devastated that she can’t have her usual snuggles and hugs. Not sure my DH is too bothered!

Hope you feel better soon. My symptoms are pretty much the same as yours but I've had no vomiting. Had a pcr yesterday morning still waiting for results

I tested positive on an lft on Christmas day (happy Christmas to meee), having had cold symptoms starting on 23rd but negative lfts on 23rd and 24th. Confirmed by PCR. Triple jabbed.

I felt really rough Christmas day and boxing day (headache, runny nose, sore throat) but feel totally back to normal now. Now I just feel rotten because I have barely moved for 6 days, I just want to go out for a walk or a run. Frustratingly my day 6 lft was clearly positive.

DH, DS and DD are still testing negative. We haven't isolated in the house, just opened a couple more windows, and I'm sleeping in the spare room.

Hawaiiinthemorning · 31/12/2021 07:09

I’m triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral flow Wednesday night after losing my smell.
I had been sneezing all day Tuesday.
Apart from a really bad headache last night, which responded straight away to paracetamol, I’m fine.

milkieway · 31/12/2021 07:11

Me too positive Boxing Day

Cold symptoms but it's been the fatigue that's super annoying especially when you've got a toddler to try and run after

Benjispruce5 · 31/12/2021 07:14

Results in-DH positive, me negative.Sad
He just has a stuffy nose. Both triple jabbed, his 3 weeks ago, mine 2 months.

Peanut82 · 31/12/2021 07:18

Super jealous of everyone who's had their results 😂 still playing the waiting game here

Are there any people with current Covid who have already had it and also been fully vaccinated including booster?

Not me but my former partner. He has had covid recently. Booster was early October. He had covid in December 2020. He said the difference between the 2 infections was like night and day. The recent one felt like a cold.

@hesbeen2021

Yup. I've had covid twice already (May 2020, Jan 2021) and tested positive Tuesday. Double vax, booster 3 weeks ago so I was at peak boost when I was exposed on Xmas Eve.

Sore throat and snot, mostly, plus fatigue and feeling like I've been run over by a small truck. Not as bad as last time (wiped out for 2 weeks, dizziness, nausea, fatigue) or first time (all of that for months).

Tara336 · 31/12/2021 07:52

I’m triple jabbed and came out of isolation on 20th had a couple quite rough days as I’m CV and take immune suppressants, still don’t feel 100% now I get tired quickly and the damm cough will not go away. I’m convinced DH gave me it as he had similar symptoms but has remained negative on all tests. DD tested positive Christmas Eve she’s tripled jabbed as well but seems to have faired a lot better and is back to her normal self with no after effects

cashmerecardigans · 31/12/2021 08:00

Positive LFT on Boxing Day and Positive PCR result on Tuesday.
I started with symptoms on 23rd but negative LFTS up to Boxing Day. I've had both vaccinations and had the booster in early Dec.
I had a bit of a runny nose and sort throat for a couple of days but really since I had the positive LFT I've been absolutely fine, no symptoms at all.
My DH has tested negative throughout and we've continued to share a bed.
All very odd, frustrating as I'm on leave from work and can't do much, but grateful I'm not unwell.
Just done an LFT and still positive, although it's a weaker line

hesbeen2021 · 31/12/2021 08:08

Thank you both that's so interesting. TBH I've more or less felt immune having had both DD and DGS in the house with it for the past two weeks. They haven't isolated except inside the house and I've taken daily tests which are negative. Now I know it's just been luck!

Benjispruce5 · 31/12/2021 08:31

So my PCR is negative as of yesterday, negative LFT this morning. DH keeps his distance but we share a bed as none spare with DD home from uni. Had window wide open last night so thank god it’s mild out there!
