Day 3/4 here (positive LFT and cough on Boxing Day evening). So far my symptoms have been: day 1 and 2 very dry cough and tickly throat. Day 3: blocked sinuses, headache. Day 4 (today): runny nose, sneezing.
Thankfully I haven’t had any body aches, vomiting or extreme fatigue - I’m tired but DC are not sleeping at the moment so don’t think that’s a Covid symptom!
So far fairly mild for me thankfully. I had my booster 4 days before testing positive so may have had some extra immunity I guess.

I am almost 5 weeks in and stilling battling the fatigue which I can't seem to shift.

Megacervixosaurus · 29/12/2021 12:29

Day 13 ish… I’ve lost track. Thought I’d feel much better by now tbh. The initial sore throat and temp has now morphed into a cough and cold. The cough has actually made me vomit twice.

Karmagoat · 29/12/2021 12:30

Started feeling ill boxing day, tested positive yesterday. Felt very achey, tickly cough, had a headache, bit nauseous. Feel a lot better today though.

Megacervixosaurus · 29/12/2021 12:31

And yes the fatigue… I’m managing to potter about until lunchtime doing a few bits of light housework and suchlike, then I’m wiped out for the rest of the day.

Peanut82 · 29/12/2021 12:32

Started with a cold on Sunday, lft ever day since have been negative. Tested positive on lft this morning so did dp. PCR's booked for tomorrow morning. Dp currently not a single symptom I just feel like I have a cold and can't taste, don't feel unwell.
Both of us triple jabbed

4intheCorner · 29/12/2021 12:32

Started with symptoms last night. Mild cough and aches. Felt nausea this morning, but that soon passed. Less coughing today. Overall I feel ok

Itonlytakesonetree · 29/12/2021 12:33

Day 5 since PCR test, had symptoms a few days before that. Feel crap and like a total malingerer. It's like after my csection when everyone was all "oh it was a breeze, I was jogging on day 3" and I was still bent double a week later. On here, it's just a mild cold - I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Very achey, very nauseous and dizzy, no appetite and SO BLOODY TIRED.

Mummysgonetobed · 29/12/2021 12:33

Awaiting pcr but positive lateral flow test yesterday, I’m achey, scratchy throat and an almighty headache.

Ringonrighthand · 29/12/2021 12:40

Monday afternoon felt achey and exhausted. Slept terribly feeling nauseous and hot and cold. Booked pcr for yesterday and got positive this morning. Was throwing up yesterday so my ribs ache today, got a cough sore throat and terrible headache!

Notonthestairs · 29/12/2021 12:43

Day 7 and similar to Itonlytakesonetree I'm exhausted all the time. Functioning for a few hours a day. Permanent headache, my limbs feel heavy, sore ribs from coughing. Triple vaxxed.

dibly · 29/12/2021 12:56

49, triple vaxxed, tested positive on Monday but symptoms started Friday so day 6 I guess. Day and night nurse are keeping it bearable but it feels like flu, sore throat, headache, aches, blocked sinus and cough with the odd upset stomach thrown in.

BigotSpigot · 29/12/2021 12:57

Day 15. Thought I had turned a corner yesterday (again...) but no, today feel back to day 4 or 5 and just terrible.

hamstersarse · 29/12/2021 13:03

Tested positive on lft yesterday, waiting on PCR.

Feels like any other cold Ive ever had. I always get high temp (started last night) and take to bed for a day or two. My temp has already gone, just feel like another day of snoozing and I'll be much better. Not many other symptoms other than sneezing and bit achy.

LiveFromNewYork · 29/12/2021 13:06

Day 6 and feel absolutely fine. Slight loss of taste only symptom left. Still testing positive.

Borisblackcat · 29/12/2021 13:12

Day 9 and no symptoms whatsoever now. Only had very mild cold symptoms for a few days and only tested because friend was positive.

Kirstyr455 · 29/12/2021 13:14

Day 4 waiting for pcr results. Only know
I have it because I was close contact and positive lft. I've had no symptoms. Had 1 vaccination.

wonderstuff123 · 29/12/2021 13:21

Day 3. Tested positive morning of 27th.
Day 1 - aches and tickly cough
Day 2 -aches and cough gone but bit of a

sore throat and snotty
Day 3 - Glands a bit swollen but nose so blocked up. Feels like it might be moving onto my chest as have coughed a bit of mucus up at times but mostly all on my nose and ears. Hubby says I was hot again when sleeping last night. Trying to unblock sinuses by drinking hot toddies with cloves.

No fatigue, can't smell or taste anything cos I'm so blocked up. Chomping at the bit to leave the house and am pacing around like a caged tiger at this point. Was saying to husband last night about how the Beirut hostages in the 80s did years being chained to radiators in the dark and I'm going crazy after 3 days.

Tifalockhart · 29/12/2021 13:21

Day 12…ish…been negative since day 6 but extremely tired, blank and dull feeling. Lungs and throat still feel raw. Double jabbed but covid was far worse than expected, not just a cold for me.

greyinganddecaying · 29/12/2021 14:59

Day 10 here- still really tired, no appetite, feel sick & headache. Bit bored of this now, the rest of the family is well & escaped isolation.

pintsizeprincess · 29/12/2021 15:09

I started with a tickly throat Sunday night, felt fine all day Monday but started with a dry cough and sore nasal congestion Tuesday. Tested positive lft yesterday. Positive pcr confirmed today. Feels like a bad head cold and dry cough. Feeling very tired and achey legs and ribs. I'm double vax and had my booster 5 weeks ago. Cv so bit worried but hoping it will be quite mild.

Autumnalblooms · 29/12/2021 15:13

Day 8 here got my first neg lateral flow today .Triple jabbed and cev .Barely any appetite certainly couldn't eat a big meal .Still achey and feel tired. If I get a negative tomorrow I can go back to work on Saturday which I need for my sanity .It did knock me off my feet it was a pleasant experience. The rest of the family all have vary symtoms between them but between us it infected us starting with me or my DH first .

Autumnalblooms · 29/12/2021 15:14

not a pleasant experience

Choccymumma · 29/12/2021 15:14

Started feeling ill on boxing day, achy and sleepy.
Day 4 now, tickly cough, blocked and runny nose Confused achy,
It feels like flu to me, I'm a bit unsettled and jittery if that makes sense?
Double vaxxed, worried i didn't make it to my booster.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 29/12/2021 15:23

Day 3

27/12 Positive LFT
28/12 Positive PCR (got result today) - symptoms kicked in around an hour post PCR.

Day 2 was the worst so far, headache like the worst of my migraines, shivers, sweats, no appetite, heavy achy bones (particularly hips), sneezy, snotty and pressure in my sinuses, exhaustion and inability to stay awake for longer than 20 mins at a time.

Today, I still have the cold symptoms but I’m much more awake and have eaten, plus the headache is milder today.

I’ve had both doses of Moderna and have been booked for my booster in early Jan (soonest I could get one here) since they opened up for under 50’s.

UndertheCedartree · 29/12/2021 15:27

On Day 5.

Symptoms started on Christmas day. Very tired, bit of a cough, very congested and headache. DC the same and DD vomited.
Day 3 cough became very dry and worse. DD got Croup and also gastro pain. Shivery and achy. Breathlessness for me.
Day 5 - feeling a little better. Still so tired and headache, bit shivery.

@Choccymumma - I feel 'unsettled and jittery' too.

I had Covid before in April 20. This is milder. It doesn't feel as if it has entered the lungs - no pain there. Although breathlessness is back but not so bad. This has affected the DC more this time. Last time DD was symptomless and DS just lost taste/smell.

Well wishes to all Flowers
