Day 3/4 here (positive LFT and cough on Boxing Day evening). So far my symptoms have been: day 1 and 2 very dry cough and tickly throat. Day 3: blocked sinuses, headache. Day 4 (today): runny nose, sneezing.
Thankfully I haven’t had any body aches, vomiting or extreme fatigue - I’m tired but DC are not sleeping at the moment so don’t think that’s a Covid symptom!
So far fairly mild for me thankfully. I had my booster 4 days before testing positive so may have had some extra immunity I guess.

Should add we all have no appetite and nausea off and on. I had Long Covid last time and so scared this is going to trigger it again.

I'm feeling a bit depressed. I love Christmas and was so looking forward to it but we just slept through it and had to cancel seeing everyone.

theelephantinthegroup · 29/12/2021 15:55

Day 7. Symptoms started with headache/tiredness, then permanently runny nose and sinus pains, now just a slightly blocked nose and a bit of a cough. Days 1-3 I didn't feel like eating anything (usually I battle with wanting to eat everything in sight). Have been extremely tired throughout, despite sleeping well. No temperature at any point.

Choccymumma · 29/12/2021 16:58

@UndertheCedartree the jitteryness scares me a bit. It comes over me in waves and I feel unwell. Does that make sense to you?

greenweepingwillow · 29/12/2021 17:05

day 6 here. Symptoms started Christmas Eve and positive lateral flow. PCR Christmas day positive
started with scratchy throat and blocked nose. Then headache and sinus pain and minor cough on days 2 and 3.
Day 3 lost smell and taste
Days 4 till now - nausea, total loss of apetite - have hardly eaten for 3 days. Body aches especially hips and backs. Absolute exhaustion.

MagentaRocks · 29/12/2021 17:31

Day 3.

Day 1 Monday. Felt awful, like a bad cold. Aching everywhere, hot and cold. Positive lft.
Day 2 tuesday. PCR, positive. Felt completely worn out
Today, nausea and stomach pain added to the rest. I am now in bed as too exhausted to stay up longer.

Dh has it too. He has been having a few hours sleep in the afternoon and I go to bed early.

YourTruthorMine · 29/12/2021 18:27

Day 1 (27th Dec) Fatigue, slight sore throat, mild muscle aches, overnight fever and no sleep
Day 2, Fatigue, dry cough, mild muscle aches
Day 3 today, more of the same, except snot has now joined the party

No loss of appetite unfortunately

Boeufsurletoit · 29/12/2021 19:06

Day 6 here as symptoms started on 23rd. Still testing positive. Started with cold symptoms for a few days and nausea. Now I seem to perk up for parts of the day and then at other times feel exhausted and dizzy.

TheFutureIs · 29/12/2021 19:16

Day 7 here and just exhausted. Day 0 when I tested with LFT no real symptoms. Day 1 bad head cold/sinus pain. Day 2-4 more sinus pain, vomiting. Day 5-7 very little appetite and lost sense taste smell. Still getting faint positive on LFT

dinkydoodah · 30/12/2021 00:36

DAY 1 - 26th felt a bit fluey, sinus pressure, headache. Negative LFT
DAY 2 - Didn't sleep well last night. Very hot/sweaty , coughing & sore throat. Negative LFT but went for PCR as both DC currently positive.
DAY 3 - PCR result positive. Felt much worse. Constant headache, dizziness and disorientation. Really hot yet temperature normal?? Throat burning. Appetite poor. LFT still negative.
DAY 4 - Got up at about 6pm. Totally exhausted but symptoms have lessened somewhat. Still feel dizzy and weak. Cough more phlegmy and shortness of breath now showed up. LFT now positive.

Fingers crossed for all who have this. Let's hope we are over the worst 🤞

Ringonrighthand · 30/12/2021 05:21

I feel worse now than I did yesterday, have barely slept my throat is killing and the nausea is keeping me awake 😩

I'm awake too. Don't feel any worse than yesterday but the constant sneezing and nose blowing is keeping me awake
Choccymumma · 30/12/2021 07:35

Day 5 now and aside from the covid symptoms, this is the worse cold I have ever had.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 30/12/2021 09:06

Day 4 post positive LFT (day 3 isolation). Felt better yesterday. Feel worse today. Tired and the achy bones and head are back. Plus I’m incredibly thirsty.

lanbro · 30/12/2021 09:19

Positive lft on Monday, confirmed by pcr Tuesday just feel like I've got a mild cold, have definitely worked through being more poorly so feeling very frustrated!

Double jabbed and boosted but dd 9 feels the same and obviously unvaccinated, dd 8 has escaped, so far!

wonderstuff123 · 30/12/2021 09:20

Day 4 here now - had a weird moment last nigh in bed where I started feeling really good ..normal really. Put it down to the fact I'd had a bronchostop pastile! But actually feel really good this morning so far. Still lots of snot though. Finding getting to sleep difficult due to lac of fresh air and actually doing anything during the day.

Brilliant synopsis of what I’ve had too. Am on day 7 and feeling a bit better every day as the range and pattern of unpredictable symptoms gradually lessen.

Now feeling irrationally irritated when I see posters on mumsnet stating “it’s just a mild cold” Sad

SamSparks · 30/12/2021 10:36

Day 1 - nausea and loss of appetite
Day 2 - the same but with a cough
Day 3/4 - still have a slight cough, but otherwise feel fine

We've been doing LFTs before meeting friends and family and all were negative. I only PCR'd due to the cough, otherwise I'd be none the wiser and would have put the other symptoms down to over indulging in food and drink at Christmas.

User2638483 · 30/12/2021 10:38

Day 5
Felt better yesterday but slight relapse today.
Mine has been all in my head so far not on my chest. Very sinusy, blocked nose and headache, eyes watery.
Worst was day 3 but that was mainly on left side of nose/face/left eye. It cleared yesterday but today have woken up and the right side feels all inflamed.

User2638483 · 30/12/2021 10:41

Does anyone with the sinus symptoms know if they had delta or omicron?

I’m wondering if mine is delta as one contact of one of the dc (who’ve also had it) was apparently told delta.

And must admit this is less mild than I expected given my booster 2 months ago and all the chat about omicron being mild

SamSparks · 30/12/2021 10:41

As PP, I had suspected Covid early 2020. My symptoms are the same but much, much milder. The cough doesn't feel like its coming from the lungs, and I can still talk without having a coughing fit.

Hope everyone who's not feeling great, gets better soon Flowers

RickyZooom · 30/12/2021 11:12

Day 4 for me… annoying cough which I thought had gone is now back. Kept me up last night. Sinuses feel a bit “burn-y” but thankfully not blocked. Taste and smell a bit weird. Hoping tomorrow for a turning point!

I'm glad I'm not the only one finding this more than just a mild cold.
I'm on Day 5 today and although feeling better than yesterday, still feel exhausted, stuffy head and poor appetite.
It's good to hear you and others are feeling better each day 👍

dinkydoodah · 30/12/2021 11:15

I've no idea what variant I have but I'm assuming omicron.
I'm also double jabbed and boosted so I'm surprised how badly hit I've been. I dread to think how bad I'd have been without the vaccine

Thats an intersting quesiton and I am wondering the same. I have def had lots of sinus pain. But it has hit me harder than expected for all the "just a cold" omicron talk. Plus, only 2 out of 8 of us in our household seem to have got it,(despite not really isolating within the house at all) which given all the talk about how transmisable omicron is is also odd. So I am wondering if we have actually got delta, not omicron......guess we'll never know
MagentaRocks · 30/12/2021 11:20

I am now on day 4. So sore and tired. Feels like a cold with some of the symptoms but magnified and added onto. I am exhausted. Just been puffing and panting settling myself down on the sofa. I have a duvet under me as my whole body aches and it feels better to be sitting/lying on a soft duvet.

I have barely eaten, since Tuesday. I am hungry but if I start to eat I can’t face it. I have managed to get a little bit of food down but not going to force too much.

Hope this goes soon.
