Day 3/4 here (positive LFT and cough on Boxing Day evening). So far my symptoms have been: day 1 and 2 very dry cough and tickly throat. Day 3: blocked sinuses, headache. Day 4 (today): runny nose, sneezing.
Thankfully I haven’t had any body aches, vomiting or extreme fatigue - I’m tired but DC are not sleeping at the moment so don’t think that’s a Covid symptom!
So far fairly mild for me thankfully. I had my booster 4 days before testing positive so may have had some extra immunity I guess.

Following the pattern of good day/bad day.
Yesterday, day 14, felt quite good, just aches and pains and a bit snotty.
Today, day 15, woke up bad headache, nausea, ear ache.
Please tell me this will get better.

Bluntness100 · 10/01/2022 07:57

I feel totally fine and am nearly negative, there’s a very faint shadow of a line, and that’s it. Whoop! Have to keep isolating till I get two fully negative in a row, but it’s defintely nearly gone. I think I’m on day nine, but officially day six.

MsBananas · 10/01/2022 08:22

Day 7 and I feel no better, maybe a bit worse actually, but symptoms have completely changed.

I had a heavy, ‘head cold’ kind of thing at first - sneezing, sore throat, cough - but those symptoms have gone and now I just have a high temperature and feel exhausted & weak.

I tested negative this morning and will test again tomorrow, but I can’t even think about going back to work right now, which is stressing me out. Urgh.

scooterbear · 10/01/2022 09:35

I've got what I assume is just an awful cold now on top. Feel dreadful again, feverish, full of snot, achey, wiped out. Meant to be back we either today (wfh) at least and I'm useless!

scooterbear · 10/01/2022 09:35

*back to work

Flapjak · 10/01/2022 09:41

Yes its feels mild, but nauseous, dizzy and fatgued so dont feel 'ill' but dont feel right either, day 11

MrsWidgerysLodger · 10/01/2022 09:45

Day 8 here and have had negative LFTs for the last 3 days. I've had no symptoms at all and only got a PCR as DH had a blazing positive LFT. Our DD (4) has been completely asymptomatic but is still getting positive LFTs so we have to say home as she can't go to Nursery. She's fed up now as she's not seen friends since mid December due to Xmas.

SaintVal · 10/01/2022 10:49

Day 8 here and still testing positive. I felt awful the first 36 hours then it just turned into a cold. The headache was horrendous. Anyway, do I just stop self-isolating after 10 days as I think I'll be testing positive in two days' time as the line is still quite dark.

Baxdream · 10/01/2022 11:27

@SaintVal I went from a strong positive on day 10 to a negative on day 11 so you might be ok! If you are well then you no longer have to isolate albeit I would still be mindful until you test negative

MajesticWhine · 10/01/2022 11:32

@SaintVal you are free to go on day 11 regardless.
I tested negative on day 9 even though day 8 was still quite clearly positive .
Good luck

SaintVal · 10/01/2022 12:00

That's good to hear, thank you! I'll test again on Wednesday Smile

Pleasedontdothat · 10/01/2022 12:50

Day 10, still LFT positive (not getting any fainter either Hmm)

I was feeling ok this morning but had two back to back teams meetings and my sore throat has come back with a vengeance and I feel shivery and achey again - thoroughly fed up ..

scooterbear · 10/01/2022 13:16

I'm now really petrified I'm going to end up with long Covid. Feel so rough again. (day 14 or 15 now).

Mamabear12 · 10/01/2022 14:51

In case someone is curious symptoms of someone who is not vaccinated, for me it is like a mild cold flu. I had a mild sore throat, two days, then woke with a mild fever, aches and headache. I took a test and it was positive. My kids were also positive (now negative and they had no sympoms). I feel a little fatigued. If I take paracetamol it is mostly fine. I am hoping it stays this way, as I know it can change, which is the scary thing! I am trying to rest as much as possible, but not easy with three kids and a dog. The dog even caught covid, as she has been vomitting. We did not realise until I read online that yes dogs can catch it from you if sharing a bed or cuddles when you have covid. Oops.

And yes, I should be vaccinated and I was planning to get vaccinated.

I hear you! I did speak to my GP today and she said it seems to be dragging out for most and to be patient if I can. She expects it to get better but not to push myself.
scooterbear · 11/01/2022 10:04

Well that's kind of reassuring I guess... I slept better last night but only as I knocked myself out with some of my brothers American sleeping pills. Woken up still full of snot, chesty, ears blocked and light headed still... really hoping it's just a regular bad cold.

SailorGeri · 11/01/2022 18:09

Day 6 here. I felt much better yesterday and was able to go back to work (fortunately I WFH). Today I worked this morning then at lunch felt nauseous, cold and tired. I cancelled my afternoon meetings and slept for 3 hours.
I was hoping I was over the worst of it but clearly not.

dahliaaa · 11/01/2022 19:05

Day 7 today and really headachey.
Been working from home but struggled today. Also quite dizzy.

Just done LFT and still v strong positive ..

dahliaaa · 11/01/2022 19:15

(I did a test yesterday as it was day 6 and it was quite faint. Today's is actually significantly stronger !)

LadyPenelope68 · 11/01/2022 19:49

Day 3 - headache like I’ve never had before, aching all over, lightheaded, heavy feeling in joints (particularly hips), nausea, dizziness and the most unbearable tiredness. Feel like I’ve been run over.

Richtea2 · 11/01/2022 21:47

Day 6
It's very strange I felt okay yesterday morning most of the day felt like all blocked up by evening and rough. Today I actually felt nauseous and then better again. Laying in bed my nose is blocked up again.
Are you these symptoms going to be like this still even if I come out of isolation?
I work in retail and hoping I am not back in isolation again.

SaintVal · 14/01/2022 11:38

Day 11 and I'm still testing positive - that was my last test so wanted to check. I'm not 'free' in any event as DS7 still testing positive on Day 8 😩 and I'm a single parent. Cabin fever has kicked in!

I still get one coughing fit every day and I feel overwhelmingly tired at 3pm but that might be Year 2 fractions and division finishing me off 😂 hope everyone else is feeling ok.

2022HereWeCome · 14/01/2022 12:22

I am day 14 from positive test (day 16 from date headache) and finally feeling almost back to normal. A few extra days off work really made the difference to allow me to get over the fatigue. Unfortunately I've developed an eye infection on the back of Covid so I'm a bit fed up still

DinoDora · 14/01/2022 12:33

Hello, could I ask how quickly your lft turned positive after feeling symptoms?

I hope you all feel well soon. Thanks

Could be other things, but I've a stinking headache today and definitely had close contacts through work (primary. ) lft neg today.

DinoDora · 14/01/2022 12:34

Ah I see 2022 had two days of headaches!
