@Claudethecat No. But your stance on that certainly fits with your previous views on this thread.

Wales has them They are part of the UK. God the Englander attitude.

How many times have our Government said something isnt going to happen and then it does. How long do you expect us to keep falling for this shit over and over.

Yes, I know but you linked to things in the OP which were about Sajid Javid, the health secretary for England and aren't true.

Why would we suddenly be talking about Wales? How is being precise about UK regions an Englander attitude?

WhatMattersMost · 10/11/2021 23:05

I'm double-vaxed; I have a sister who I will no longer communicate with because she is a conspiracy-theorist, anti-vaxer; and I agree with you: this particular issue should be driven by choice and without prejudice.

Again, I'm not sure what you mean. There are no plans for this to happen in England, no legislation being proposed. Anything might happen at some point in the future but what makes you think it's happening now?

That was my first post on this thread @MercyBooth, so I am not sure what you mean?

MercyBooth · 10/11/2021 23:11

Yes we should absolutely wait until its implemented first. Hmm

If this were to happen it would in my view by an infringement of liberty, it would all likelihood be followed by the over 60s then the over 50s being also compelled to vaccinate. I do believe the vaccine in important but I think mandating for it is not the answer

Skinnytailedsquirrel · 10/11/2021 23:16

Personally as an over 50, I'd love there to be a Covid passport. We used to eat out several times a week, go to lots of concerts etc. Don't go now. Don't even go to the gym as I know there are so many anti vax cranks (selfish gits).

Quite a lot of money lost on us not going out. I'm sure that' replicated far and wide.

Skinnytailedsquirrel · 10/11/2021 23:19

And all these anti vaxxers need to remember they are probably only here because they had polio and tetanus and mumps and measles etc etc vaccines when they were small.

We used to stand in a queue in school and get the jab.

Saved thousands and thousands of lives.

Yawn, they are not anti-vaccine to question a "vaccine" that doesn't prevent transmission or you catching it and has no long term safety data. All those other vaccines and yellow fever etc all have long term safety data.
cherin · 10/11/2021 23:32

And that all of these vaccines at some point were “new”
But people were grateful for the chance to take a new vaccine because they saw the effects of the lack of vaccine in real life. But here it seems that all the Covid victims are fake?

Where I come from there’s plenty of public health requirements even for work, and there have always been pre covid. Work in hospitality? Need to test poop and blood for hepatitis and a bunch of other things. Work in school? As far as I know, you need to have your tetanus and booster every so many years, particularly if you have access to a school lab (mum was a science teacher in middle school, had at least 4 shots over her career. Never questioned. Gp was chuffed to know that, when she had to be stitched up after an accident)
I honestly don’t see the problem.
People need an eye test to get a driving licence, and other health issues might prevent you from getting it (narcolepsy, epilepsy etc)
It’s in the public interest and in your own interest.

MercyBooth · 10/11/2021 23:34

"We used to stand in a queue in school and get the jab"

As did I? Im against vaccine PASSPORTS not vaccines. This reminds me of the time when the campaigners against workFARE were told they were against work. Gaslighting 101

Hahaha you actually referenced Halo James
This is wonderful. I feel like I'm reading Smash Hits in 1989. What else can we discuss? Brother Beyond? S'Express? Climie Fisher?

Hahaha ha

Don't understand the panic over Vaccine passports. I need a.license to drive and I'm less likely to kill someone by driving than I am by infecting other people with Covid.

Driving requires you to demonstrate very specific knowledge, skills and abilities. It isn’t a human right and being in charge of a vehicle without that knowledge, skills or abilities is very dangerous.

It is not the same as being able to function in society.

You cannot possibly say that you are more likely to kill someone by walking about unvaccinated than by driving a car. I would call this misinformation.

You dont need chemicals injected into you to drive. A driving license and a vaccine mandate are worlds apart.
MercyBooth · 10/11/2021 23:54

I had driving lessons in 1990 when i was 17. I was nervous behind the wheel broke into a sweat etc........after 3 or 4 lessons i decided it wasnt for me. A nervous driver is a dangerous driver. So i stopped the lessons.

It's very strange @XenoBitch, half the time you say you'd love to get vaccinated if it wasn't for this terrible, crippling, tragic needle phobia.. and then the other half you're posting this kind of half-baked tinfoil-hat garbage. Which is it?

It is so very strange you look me up tbh.
BudgeSquare · 11/11/2021 00:41

I don't need to look you up. You've been on every single thread about covid for the last 18 months and every time you make up a different story. You know there's a name change function, right?

sleepwouldbenice · 11/11/2021 00:45

@Mosky

OP you consistently post ant vax stuff. I'll happily have a jab as often as necessary if that stops me being hospitalised again.
Boring isn't it

Prove I have been on every single thread about Covid .... go on. And a different story? Prove that too. I don't lie. Lying is difficult and hard to keep up with. I have name changed once, and that was something to so with dogs...nothing to do with Covid at all.
MercyBooth · 11/11/2021 01:10

@sleepwouldbenice another gaslighter And you know damn fucking well i had the vaccine because you put a smiley face on the post on the thread when i had it. How much will it take for you to feel protected?
