Political parties and lobby groups are not necessarily interested in a candidates moral compass see Boris, more that the candidate can get them the results they want. So you wouldn't employ Cameron but you might still employ Cummings.

He comes across as a petulant extra in an episode of 'The Office'.

I really don't like Cummings but his account of the the start of the pandemic last year is very credible - and terrifying.

That you would have a Secretary of State for Health lying about care homes, PPE, testing and track and trace in the middle of a pandemic is worse than incompetent. It's bloody evil.

As someone above said, it's shocking that what was of concern was the political and public perception rather than the avoidable deaths caused.

It's not news that Boris Johnson is a clown and a liar. We knew that and voted him in anyway. I doubt Cummings account will alter anything and I think we are going to get what we deserve as a country.

The shit will hit the fan when our incompetent govt don't prevent a third wave when the next variant strikes and economic recession.

As long as enough people are going alright financially there will be no change.

One of my best mates once had Cummings round his house for dinner, and has his personal mobile number.

Quite nice in person, apparently, but a bit weird and thinks he's smarter than anyone else.

I'd like Boris come out and say 'you know what, I should have sacked him after the Durham trip nonsense. I apologise for saying he acted with integrity because he clearly has none. The country was going through a difficult time and I thought it best not to add fuel to the fire but in retrospect I was wrong. Cummings is a wrong 'un and I never should have had anything to do with him'.

Try emailing him about anything important- the replies would be laughable if he wasn’t the elected MP for my area. Whoever does his emails needs sacking because the policy quoted is never up to date.

The trouble is Boris has even less integrity than Cummings.

Boris Johnson is a serial liar and we knew that (those of us who were listening) before we voted him in to lead our country and govern us.
