Apparently this is the next age group to be invited

I'm honestly not sure, as not keen on something so new, think I had covid early last year before they were testing

Thought about whats been said and I've decided I will have it, figure it's a risk either way so don't want to spend too long thinking about it

@HeeHawSeeSaw
Wow, you really need to do some proper research and find out exactly why AstraZeneca is cheaper than the others.
You do realise that the company are not profiting from it, unlike Pfizer and Moderna. Latest stats this week show it to be just as effective as the others on the market.

The AZ can be stored at the very low temperatures of the others, hence it can also be transported and administered more widely.

I will definitely not be taking the AZ vaccine, its the cheapest vaccine available and costs about £5 for both doses and as the saying goes -you get what you pay for

Bloody hell. Do some research. AZ are producing this at cost and not profiting- that's why it's cheaper.

Cousin's husband was 48 and healthy. Tested positive on the Friday, died the following Wednesday.

@Vargas

BBC news today - One vaccine dose halves transmission.

Even if you don't do it for yourself, please do it for others around you.

And AZ isn't cheap because it's less good, it's cheap because they did it not-for-profit. FFS.

It's better than that.

One dose halves the risk of a person testing +ve for covid transmitting it. One dose ALSO reduces the chance of testing +ve by 65%.

So the overall reduction in infectiousness from a single dose is the product of the two benefits - works out at around an 80% reduction.
