Apparently this is the next age group to be invited

I'm honestly not sure, as not keen on something so new, think I had covid early last year before they were testing

Yes.
The potential ramifications and limits on my life of not being vaccinated mean I will have it.
I’m also not particularly concerned about its safety.
If it’s good enough to be given to my mother, aunts, uncles, grandparents, sister and friends then it’s ok for me.

GrumpySausage · 26/04/2021 16:01

Yes definitely.

I'm 34 and don't expect to hear about mine until later in May but will definitely be signing up.

I appreciate the risks but they are miniscule compared to other much more regular parts of life, and covid itself.

OwlBeThere · 26/04/2021 16:01

I already have. I’m ‘healthy’ in that I don’t have any increased risk factors for covid, but do have other disabilities.
I’m a vaccine skeptic and have refused vaccines in the past, but I had this one as I have caring responsibilities and I feel it’s the right thing to do to reduce the risk for the family members I care for.

Hereforthedramaz · 26/04/2021 16:03

Yes, 35 and I've had both jabs already.
I didn't hesitate

Janaih · 26/04/2021 16:05

41 and healthy, will be having it. Vaccinations are essential to modern civilisation.

Latenightreader · 26/04/2021 16:05

Absolutely (I’m 42). A good friend of mine has been ill on and off for the last ten months with long COVID - she was healthy before all of this. My next door neighbour works in an ICU and has had plenty of previously healthy under 50s on ventilators in the last few months. I’m concerned about the side effects of the vaccine, but not as much as I am about long COVID or being ventilated.

ShortColdandGrey · 26/04/2021 16:05

Yes my doctors surgery has already text me with my appointment.

Sparticle · 26/04/2021 16:05

Yes, I'm 44 and I have booked mine for Wednesday!

Bookaholic73 · 26/04/2021 16:06

I’ve already had my 1st, so yes. I’m 41.

RuggerHug · 26/04/2021 16:06

In a heartbeat. But not in UK so it'll be awhile before I can.

TheFlis12345 · 26/04/2021 16:06

41 and had my first, 2nd in a couple of weeks.

MorganSeventh · 26/04/2021 16:09

Yes, I'm 44 and had it yesterday. I've also had covid and it was very mild, but herd immunity doesn't work if only the people potentially badly effected are vaccinated. I'd prefer to have the vaccination and fewer non pharmaceutical interventions.

LieLikeALoungeroomLizard · 26/04/2021 16:11

All the 41 year old if you've already had it, you must another reason for doing so such as your job or health reasons

Woolly17 · 26/04/2021 16:11

Yup. 43 booked mine today. Can't wait!

Spied · 26/04/2021 16:11
  1. Had both. Over the moon when I got my first. Worried about my second with the blood clot risks but I still had it.
Notadramallama · 26/04/2021 16:13

43 and just booked mine.

FooFighter99 · 26/04/2021 16:14

I'm 36 and have had both doses (I work in the NHS)

I'm also high risk due to being overweight and having high blood pressure, so my GP also sent for me months ago, but I'd already had it done

People worry too much about it being a new vaccine, but you have to consider the effort put into developing it. Yes it normally takes years, but that's because it's usually only 1 lab working on it. For the Covid vaccine, everyone worked together, therefore the job got done quicker

JustinOtherdad · 26/04/2021 16:14

Yes. I don't want to be responsible for someone else falling ill.

NutellaEllaElla · 26/04/2021 16:14

Yes and i'm not keen on new diseases so it makes sense to try to avoid contracting it.

Not necessarily, it depends where you are in the UK. Northern Ireland started vaccinating all over 35s at the start of last week. In other places, some GPs are pushing ahead if their patient demographics allow and they have covered the older age groups.
DiscordandRhyme · 26/04/2021 16:15

I will.
Heard nothing yet though

Mamimawr · 26/04/2021 16:16

I'm 41 and I had my first one a couple of weeks ago. Everyone I know around my age has had their first by now. I don't know anyone who's refused it. I'm in north Wales and they're on 20-30 year olds now. Some in 30s still waiting because they wanted to use the Moderna vaccines on under 30s.

barnanabas · 26/04/2021 16:17

43 and healthy. Had my first one at the weekend.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 26/04/2021 16:17

40, with no underlying conditions. Had mine last week as my surgery had excess of Pfizer that needed using.
I'm desperate to get some normality back (specifically travel) and I really don't fancy long covid.

Spinningaround21 · 26/04/2021 16:17

42 already had both doses. Worked with covid patients both acute/ post infection complications and don’t want that very much. Each to their own.
