I just want my cut and colour.

It’s guidelines not law. I’m booked in for a cut and colour.

MercyBooth · 09/04/2021 23:22

I might just fucking shave it all off and have done. Perhaps i will send it to them in a fucking jiffy bag.

twelly · 09/04/2021 23:24

It does seem that the guidelines are made up with no real thought from one minute to the next

Womencanlift · 09/04/2021 23:25

Yeah that won’t be happening. As pp said it’s guidelines not law. My mum had highlights yesterday and I’m booked in for tomorrow. Can’t come quick enough.

MercyBooth · 09/04/2021 23:25

Im fucking sick of how we are all being shat on and shat on and shat on. The sacrifices the public have made and the abuse from them just keeps on coming.

HastingsIsSuckingDiesel · 09/04/2021 23:25

You can have your cut and colour- it's just guidance which I doubt salons will be following- mine isn't! They are offering all hair services including colour.

MercyBooth · 09/04/2021 23:28

Im booked in next Wednesday. Gilead (England) Ive got to go in on Monday morning for a skin test because its not been done for over four months. Salons have always bent over backwards to be safe and have spent so much on Covid safe PPE. But yeah wimmins things innit.

Are you ok OP? You seem to be having a bit of an extreme reaction to news about a haircut. As several of us have said it’s unlikely that this will happen so you can relax. And if you are a hairdresser yourself remember it’s guidelines not law
WilsonMilson · 09/04/2021 23:29

What a load of shite, the government are having a laugh with this nonsense. Hairdressers make most money from colours and highlights, no salon owner in their right mind will be paying a blind bit of notice to this utter bollocks.

user1494055864 · 09/04/2021 23:31

I thought it was a joke when I read it on twitter!!! I can't take much more of this.

Why is everyone getting so worked up and ignoring the numerous posts which quite correctly say this is only guidance not a rule?

MercyBooth · 09/04/2021 23:37

Im a brunette. Its not an extreme reaction. Its the only regular treat i have. I dont go abroad. My hair is bloody thick and unmanageable. Feeling like a scruffy tramp. Being psychologically abused by the twats in power, struggling in a mask, being treated like a bio hazard/ATM machine................ive been comfort eating and gained weight Weight i had started to lose when i started going back to the salon regularly last September.

ilovesooty · 09/04/2021 23:37

As previous posters have said, it's guidance. This seems rather an overreaction to me.

Yapplepearora · 09/04/2021 23:38

@Aposterhasnoname.

Because of the precedent it sets. When the vulnerable are vaccinated and the rest of the population soon to follow, getting back to PROPER normal life should be the priority. This is the usual “prevent cases at all costs” shite.

AnyFucker · 09/04/2021 23:42

I imagine that very few cases of COVID have been traced back to hair salons. They are PPE’d, scrubbed and sanitised within an inch of their life

For Gods sake, let them get back to some semblance of normality. This government is losing its mind and targeting the wrong things.

ssd · 09/04/2021 23:44

Bloody hell. I'm the last person to defend this shower of incompetent arseholes but op calm down.

It definitely is an extreme reaction.

Seriously, calm the fuck down. It’s strands of dead protein on your head. Wear a hat if it bothers you that much.

Losing their minds sums them up perfectly.

Nonsense about timing of hair appointments while they let the wealthy fly in and out of this country with no supervised quarantine.

Haenow · 09/04/2021 23:49

Umm it’s only guidelines to reduce risk. Plenty of them will, understandably, disregard it because they need the business. Honestly, it’s ridiculous to get worked up by government suggestions to limit risk. I’m no Tory and think this pandemic has been handled appallingly but you can have your hair coloured, so no need to get in a rage.

user1471447924 · 09/04/2021 23:49

Oh my god what a fuss over nothing. I can’t roll my eyes hard enough.

PurpleOkapi · 09/04/2021 23:50

That doesn't make sense. Wouldn't multiple short appointments put everyone at more risk than fewer longer appointments that took the same total time? More people coming and going means more risk of exposure.

Cam2020 · 09/04/2021 23:51

I liked the having it all off solution, personally. Who are you sending it to though?

TheWaif · 09/04/2021 23:52

You just scared the shit out of me. Click bait nonsense, thanks.
