Blood type and side effects of vaccine?

Just a quick straw poll as we've been having this discussion at home and wondered if there might be something in it.

What blood type are you?
Did you get a lot of side effects from the vaccine?
Which vaccine did you have?

Me - AZ blood type O positive, awful reaction

Dh - AZ blood type O positive no reaction

O negative. AZ vaccination.
Had 24 hrs of exhaustion and chills up my spine.

I'm AB+, had Pfizer and only had a sore arm.

I have my 2nd dose in 2 weeks.

O+, AZ, mild headache only

5 Pfizer in relatives, 4 O no side effects and 1 B bad headache.

Hmmm interesting theory.

O-, AZ and literally zero side effects, not even a sore arm.

A negative- AZ vaccine - sore arm, headache and tired. Also my period was 6 days late, was the only thing I had done/had different that month.

A Negative. Had AZ and was poorly with flu like symptoms for 24hrs

Type A-

AZ vaccine. 24h of fever and chills and an overnight headache. Then grotty for a further 24h. Then three days of sore arm.

O+ Pfizer, sore arm and extreme tiredness for about 4 days

Mil O- Pfizer no side effects

Interesting theory. We just thought it was younger people that get worse side effects.

O negative. AZ. felt shit day after for abour 36 hours. ..10 days on I still feel really tired.

O-neg, AZ, and no side effects apart from a slightly sore arm and ovulation delayed by 4 days.

Pz, sore arm @ felt a bit sick and had a headache the eve of the vaccination

B+ Oxford vaccine, no side effects

O+ AZ vaccine, very sore arm and felt hungover the following day

Me - A+, Pfizer, feverish and sore after both, but first was worst

DH - B+, Pfizer, feverish and sore after both, but second was worst

What’s your theory OP?

Couldn't get out of bed the next day, fever, chills, limbs felt so heavy, piercing headache, lethargic. Last 48 hours then went as quickly as it arrived. My period is now 3 weeks late also. I'm also in my early 40s and have heard younger women are affected more but don't know why.

B+ AZ vaccine. Feel fuzzy, nauseous and very fatigued after having it yesterday

Also wanted to add I normally have a very strong immune system. Not had a cold or and kind of viral infection for four years

AB- 1st dose AZ - felt ghastly for 2 days - horrible headache/ shivery / aching/ v lethargic and v sore arm. Still v pleased to have had vaccine.

To give some context to my vaccine reactions I had COVID in August so don’t know if that played a part plus I often get strong vaccine reactions.

I know lots of people who’ve had AZ (volunteer at vaccination centre) and tge reactions vary from like mine to absolutely nothing.

Husband- O blood type - had Pfizer and felt a bit “fluey” for 24 hours.

We all had the Oxford AstaZeneca

Me AB- headache and dizziness for a couple of hours later in the day ( had ut first thing in the morning).

DH O and had no reaction at all

DS AB- felt flues and had a headache fir 24 hours

DDIL A had no reaction at all.

AZ, fine, bit bruised and headachey but nothing major. O BT

We know that certain blood types are more less to get severe covid (but you could still get severe covid) and certain blood types are less likely to catch covid in the first place so we wondered if there was anything in side effects too.

A+ AZ Slight fever overnight. Nothing noteworthy.
