Just a quick straw poll as we've been having this discussion at home and wondered if there might be something in it.

What blood type are you?
Did you get a lot of side effects from the vaccine?
Which vaccine did you have?

AB +, Astra Zeneca, sore arm for a day or two. Nothing else. 60s.

BlueSkyBlinking · 02/04/2021 23:35

B+ Pfizer 1st dose: sore arm and slight fever, fatigue (possibly just laziness and melodrama)

SwedishEdith · 02/04/2021 23:40

I'm intrigued by how many AB blood groups there are on here - 18 at 108 posts. I'm sure it's only 3% of the UK population.

AB+, AZ vaccine. Very achy, shivery, shaky 12 hours after jab. Tired and fluey next day (would have taken leave if a work day). Sore arm for next week but not an issue.

ilovesooty · 02/04/2021 23:47

@Floobydo

Hmmm interesting theory.

O-, AZ and literally zero side effects, not even a sore arm.

Same here.
BentBastard · 02/04/2021 23:49

B+
AZ
Very tired and groggy the next day but that was it.

Dreamscomingtrue · 02/04/2021 23:52

Me,Astra Zenika vaccine, blood group A+ no side effects, just tingly arm.

Husband AZ, blood group O no side affects on day, headache next day.

Mumof3girlsandaboy · 03/04/2021 00:00

Me - A+ Vaccine AZ and I had fever, body aches, sneezing and very sore arm in the evening after the the vaccine and it lasted 2 good days

Fattydoggy · 03/04/2021 00:01

Blood group A-. 1st Pfizer no symptoms apart from a sore arm. 2nd vaccine - Fever, chills, nausea, swelling in lymph nodes.

Satsunday · 03/04/2021 00:23

AB negative. Had the AZ vaccine and flu like symptoms symptoms 24 hours. I think I may have had Covid last year. I'm in my early 40s.

Lurleene · 03/04/2021 00:38

Me - AB+ Mid 40s had AZ. Fine day 1 apart from heart skipping a few beats in the evening. From next day very sore arm, had migraine with nausea for a few days, period was a week late and my boobs were very sore.Generally tired a few weeks on.

DH O+ early 50s AZ - felt he was coming down with a cold that evening, fine next day but has been v tired for about a week. ( He had it later than me due to my job).

Incidentally is there a higher proportion of AB+ on this thread than would be usual or am I just looking out for them?

noblegreenk · 03/04/2021 00:46

O- blood type. I had chills, followed by headache, lack of appetite, exhaustion and muscular aching all over.

grannysbay · 03/04/2021 00:46

A+ Astra Zeneca. Terrible headache and pain in face that went on for over three days. Not had second dose, but hoping it doesn't recur

noblegreenk · 03/04/2021 00:47

Oops! Forgot to say I had AZ vaccine.

Teesel · 03/04/2021 01:02

Given that the most common blood group is O+ it's incredible how that's suddenly the rarest on this quick straw poll.

vodkaredbullgirl · 03/04/2021 01:04

B+ pfizer just a sore arm.

jmh740 · 03/04/2021 01:05

knittingaddict · 03/04/2021 06:33

FrankGrillosFloof · 03/04/2021 06:39

I think O blood group is most common in the whole world, but not necessarily in the UK? As an examole, nearly the whole of Latin America is 0.
dizzydizzydizzy · 03/04/2021 09:35

O+ AZ no reaction whatsoever

Do you think people are lying about their bloody type? Why on Earth would they do that?

Or have I misinterpreted your comment?

dizzydizzydizzy · 03/04/2021 09:36

DP: O+ AZ sore arm
