@longshot started a new thread as the other filled up and I thought you were poorly and people would be wanting to find out how you were doing.

OP posts:
SquashedFlyBiscuit · 27/03/2020 16:36

Meant to add on the other thread...

Gosh guys. Wishing you all the best. Im on day 11 and mainly feel the heavy chest and pressure at night. Im really not struggling to the extent lots of you are. Im suspecting I've got something else thats not "it" ( but pretty horrible) . Im scared of getting "it" while my lungs feel this crap though.

Or i might get worse i suppose...

Longshot and badoc hope you're okay x

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 16:37

@longshot stay strong and please update us on how you are doing

ofwarren · 27/03/2020 16:39

Yes, I hope you are doing ok @longshot

findingschools4myboys · 27/03/2020 16:42

@longshot

Sorry you aren’t feeling well again. I was feeling better then had a huge anxiety attack couple of days ago. It then eventually calmed down again. I am day 17 (wrote 16 in another post but forgot one day) and only feeling slightly back to 70% of my normal today. First day I have not mainly been in bed since last Wednesday! I have never been sick for this long before, have had worse symptoms but never for over 2 weeks!

treedragon · 27/03/2020 16:49

I know I’ve totally lost my appetite since all this started.

kevintheorangecarrot · 27/03/2020 16:51

I posted a thread but no reply.

On day 9 now with shortness of breath, tight chest and sore lungs. Heartburn as well. Also had a very sore throat.

Been prescribed amoxicillin by doctor just incase it's an infection but I highly doubt it. I've never experienced anything like this before. I'm so scared Sad

Lovelesslily · 27/03/2020 16:51

Day 6 for me and feeling a lot better at the moment. Still got a very sore/tight chest and breathless when talking but otherwise feeling quite good. Terrified I am going to take a downward turn in next few days... but hopefully not!

I spoke to someone who is training to be a 111 operator and he said unless there is a dry unproductive persistent cough it is not Corona... I'm really not sure what to make of that as it seems lots don't have a persistent cough. Mine is there but very occasional and today quite phlegmy...

My dad still showing no symptoms so far.

ofwarren · 27/03/2020 17:09

Has anyone here not had a temperature? I'm day 4 and have the cough and the on fire lungs, shaking, pain, dizzy, brain fog etc but I haven't had a temperature at all yet

Littleninja1 · 27/03/2020 17:13

@Lovelesslily a&e doctor and three GPs have told me opposite. Read through the previous threads and all the links to other countries health advice.

@kevintheorangecarrot hope these threads can help you feel less alone, and maybe less scared? We're all here together x

treedragon · 27/03/2020 17:14

Also I don’t even feel like I’m enjoying my home much

KayakingOnDown · 27/03/2020 17:16

Posting again (this time on the right thread I hope)

@longshot hope you're OK. Thinking of you.

@babdoc, for those long nights, take comfort and hope in Psalm 91.

Lovelesslily · 27/03/2020 17:16

@Littleninja1 I know, hence why I was quite surprised ... if that is the advise 111 is giving it is a bit concerning I think.

There seems to be two new threads, is there a way to merge them?

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 17:18

I am feeling a lot better this evening after a bout of diarrhoea. Not sure what that suggests. More energy but still quite breathless with day to day activities. Feeling fine when talking.

Been told Day 10 is very critical so hoping to get through tonight to be on the other side of the recovery curve!

Cough is still there and my throat really hurts. I am not looking forward to tonight as last night was quite rough with the cough.

No pain below the bra line but more pain between in middle of my chest. Anyone else with a similar pain in the chest rather than all over.

Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 17:21

Glad I found the third thread. I think this is Day 5 for me. After feeling much better my breathing has got bad again. My GP yesterday prescribed an inhaler and sent it to be delivered, delivery company today said it would take 5-14 days!! I tried all day to get through to them then finally got hold of someone in their Facebook page who gave me a code.
In the meantime though I had emailed GP again to explain what had happened and they got back to me to say they had resent the prescription to my local supermarket pharmacy.
I'd sent DH out with the code before the GP got back to me and he went to a different pharmacy (was told he could go to any) and he phoned me ranting that the code must be wrong and now he had to go to the supermarket pharmacy! What a mess! I feel awful and he's working so hard (key worker) and looking after us all and on top of that running around after a prescription...
I would go myself if I could. I feel so useless

Spacecadetagain · 27/03/2020 17:27

I still am unsure as to what was the first day .. I’m either day 14 or day ten .. worried if it’s day ten as I’m definitely worse today .. chest really tight .. grating sensation when I breathe and had a coughing fit about ten mins ago and coughed up some phlegm with a green tinge so I’m worried now Im in the viral pnuemonia stage

stayathomegardener · 27/03/2020 17:29

Thanks @Casino218
This thread is my sanity right now.

Hope you are improving @longshot

starrynight19 · 27/03/2020 17:30

Lovelesslily that is incorrect I know two people tested for this and one had the cough , one didn’t

stayathomegardener · 27/03/2020 17:31

@kevintheorangecarrot hold on in there.

Keep warm, lots of hot fluids and when you feel a bit better don't trust it and try to keep resting.

Casino218 · 27/03/2020 17:35

I think 111 are following a script but people's symptoms are not following that script.

Not sure what to do about the other thread as it was long shy that started the thread initially. Perhaps someone with a better knowledge of Mumsnet may know how to merge them. Anyway support is support whichever the thread.

OP posts:
treedragon · 27/03/2020 17:37

The other thing that makes me anxious is going into the weekend with no ability to gain access to medical attention.

MammyZ · 27/03/2020 17:37

Hi all,

I’ve been following this thread all week now. I am a very old reg and am living in Ireland. I have been lucky enough to be tested and am expecting my test results back early next week.

Progression of my symptoms was

From 18/3 - Days 1-4 : chest pressure and a burning/heat in chest, with need to take deep “mouth-breaths” every now and then to feel right. Also felt drained with pains in calves, and on-off headaches.

Day 5 Sunday 22/3 I thought I was actually feeling a lot better. My mum came over and stood at her car in my drive and we chatted across the garden (3m apart no contact). Had a nice afternoon tea with my own husband and kids for Mother’s Day after she left.

Later that day suddenly had this feeling of chills all through my body but more pronounced in my chest and torso. The chills then started alternating with a warmth in my chest. Weird feelings that went on all through the night and progressed to shivers and tingles all through my body particularly in my chest, shoulders and back. Awful night with beating heart, constant thirst, diarrhoea.

Luckily I haven’t had another night like that but the week has been an up and down of fatigue, headaches, breathlessness, and the chest pressure you all talk about too.

Last week when my doc referred me he gave me a prescription for antibiotics which I started taking as a precaution on Monday. Yesterday I had a lot of heat across the top of my back and this morning my chest felt congested. But I dare say I’m not feeling too bad today and have been up and around the house a bit.

Anyway I will be able to update you with my test result when I get it. I think there is so much overlap of symptoms that it would be good for some confirmation.

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 17:38

@spacecadetagain i have the same issue of when to count from but assuming am Day 10. I also coughed up yellow phlegm today and worried sick. Until we get breathless ie can't speak more than 1-2 words without taking a breath, i wouldn't stress too much.

I also have more chest pain today between the breasts.

stayathomegardener · 27/03/2020 17:44

@ofwarren I've had no temperature as checked regularly but very odd face flushing and broken sleep as if I were hot.

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 17:45

@spacecadetagain do you have fever?

ofwarren · 27/03/2020 17:46

@stayathomegardener
That's exactly what I'm having!
What day are you on?
