@longshot started a new thread as the other filled up and I thought you were poorly and people would be wanting to find out how you were doing.

OP posts:
tangledyarn · 27/03/2020 21:44

@porcupineinwaiting My elephant has stayed but he seems to have lost a bit of weight in the last 24 hrs (day 21)

Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 21:46

Night @longshot hope you get some rest tonight and thank you for your kind words about my Dad passing. Flowers

It's reassuring to hear of all the older people who are beating this.

Today has mostly been a good symptom day other than my breathing getting bad earlier but I now have an inhaler which made it better.
It makes me worry though that tomorrow when I wake up it will be all change again!
I miss my dog. I've read that the virus can live for a short time on their coats so I daren't touch him in case it spreads to anyone else but he doesn't understand and keeps trying to come in my room.
He's being fussed senseless though by my Mum so I don't think he's THAT bothered, but when I'm feeling rough it's nice to get cuddles from him. I think that's one of the hardest things about this, the loneliness. miss DH too

Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 21:46

@tangledyarn 21 days? How are you feeling overall now?

hoovermyrug · 27/03/2020 21:46

@Casino218 I'm 43 and no health issues. Other than anxiety but my husband is 51 and that worries me. He has a weak chest.

longshot · 27/03/2020 21:48

I’m car of interest over the the last week two I’ve followed someone on twitter whose wife was very poorly with suspected Covid 19. He did a timeline of her symptoms about a week ago up to day 12 I think then it stopped but she was ‘over the worst’. Just checked back and she’s still very weak and getting back to normal but also he highlighted that in the last few days she has been good in the morning, dipped a lot in the afternoon and the ok ish in the evening. I follow this pattern every day, today has been worse but the same pattern. Tomorrow I’m just going to back to bed for the afternoon and see if that helps!

ItsAStruggleRightNow · 27/03/2020 21:53

Started feeling unwell today... breathless, chest hurts and some muscle pain. I'm so anxious, I live alone and don't know what to do.

tangledyarn · 27/03/2020 21:53

@moonbaby321 Todays been the best day I've had but it's been up and down. I've basically been in bed for 2 weeks until today but have been up (mostly sitting down) for about 5 hours today. I'm still very short of breath but its not as bad as it was, particularly when just sitting/lying, my pulse is still high for me but like 80 rather than 110, lots of burning, pressure and like theres a brick in my chest still. Have managed to eat a bit more today too. I think it will take a long time to feel better but I do feel like I'm going in the right direction at last:) xx

kirinm · 27/03/2020 21:55

My son had a very slight cough a couple of days ago and then yesterday a temp of 39.4. Temp came down this morning but you again in the evening. He is eating okay. Does this sound like it could be it? Is there any particular day we should be particularly concerned about? We are on Day 3 now.

kirinm · 27/03/2020 21:58

That should've said it went up this evening again.

Porcupineinwaiting · 27/03/2020 22:05

@kirinm how old is your ds?

kirinm · 27/03/2020 22:11

He's 23. But I'm asthmatic (quite badly but not on the really high risk group) and I also have an 18mo (big age gap).

Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 22:13

@tangledyarn It seems to be such a long drawn out illness doesn't it? We had a bad cold two weeks ago, really sore throat and sneezing, full on snottiness that lemsips weren't touching. Then last weekend it cleared overnight all weekend then started coming back on Monday with upset stomach. I wonder now if the cold thing was part of it because I had a cough then but not really now (yet!) Then the burning chest thing started and yesterday was awful. DH is so fed up now of me being ill and I'm scared of how long this will go on for and how bad it's going to get

StormBaby · 27/03/2020 22:13

Day 14 for me, had another day of total exhaustion. Napped on and off. Limbs like lead. Still coughing but heavy chest has been gone for about 3 days now.

Have had zero sympathy from various males I am isolating with, even when I was really unwell on days 7-10. Both started coughing yesterday. Both adamant its not CV and they have a cold/hay-fever and I'm exaggerating. Hmm

Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 22:16

@kirinm I hope your son feels better soon. I know it's not easy if you're caring for him but are you keeping distance from him so you don't catch it? Does he also have asthma?

Aurea · 27/03/2020 22:17

@ItsaStruggleRightNow
You can do this. I am now on day 10 with similar symptoms and I am starting to feel better.
Just take each day as it comes and relax. You will be fine. Enjoy your peace and quiet as when all this is over, I guess everyone will be turbocharged trying to get everything done they have missed in the interim.

Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 22:20

@StormBaby It's crap isn't it when you're feeling this bad and you almost feel like you have to explain yourself. Because I haven't been tested I 'Haven't got it' Hmm

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 22:32

@itsastrugglerightnow can you do some breathing exercises for the anxiety? Also someone in the first thread mentioned a simple test for breathing issues: counting up to 30 without taking a breath which may be reassuring?

ItsAStruggleRightNow · 27/03/2020 22:33

@Aurea thank you, I'm really anxious. I've been home for 9 days, except a visit to the pharmacy on Tuesday to get some medication that I need.

I don't know if my anxiety is making me hyper aware. My biggest issues are chest and neck pain. My breathing seems better when I lie down.

I'm scared to tell my parents who will worry and try to visit. My mum is extremely high risk.

Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 22:35

@itsastrugglerightnow if you download the Calm app there is a really good free feature called Breathe which is literally an aid to calming your breathing which soothes yours anxiety, it really helps

tangledyarn · 27/03/2020 22:38

@moonbaby321 Yeah it's so drawn out, in can have different phases with gaps so it could well all be part of the same illness. I had what felt like flu for 2 days, temp, fatigue with a cough then just a sore throat and a tight chest for 3 (i even went to work for those 3 days as I thought it was an asthma flare) and then suddenly felt awful and all other symptoms started and was really bad for the next 2 weeks and in bed until the last couple of days when I've started to be able to move around a bit. Try not to panic I know its horrible but it is known for being a long illness with ups and downs. Hope you feel a bit better soon xx

Aurea · 27/03/2020 22:41

Focus on self care. Do you mediate? There are mediations on YouTube you could try to relax you. They will help.

Choose a series you would like to watch on TV and immerse yourself in this.

You will be ok. But try not to stress too much as your body needs to concentrate on healing. Check in here tomorrow and let us know how you are. X

EMichel102 · 27/03/2020 22:50

Tonight for the first time I’ve had more hot flashes / burning headache / shaky - has anyone else had this later on in their progression? I feel like I’m going backwards with it as it’ll be Day 12 tomorrow!

Sambucus · 27/03/2020 23:05

It has been really helpful to read about others’ experiences, thank you! Day 11 here and as well as the cough am still getting intermittent fevers (37.9 this evening). They started day 2 I think. Anyone else had fever going on so long? When does it stop?!

Porcupineinwaiting · 27/03/2020 23:08

@StormBaby when you are good and strong again, kick them all in the knackers. Or, once this is all over, I'll come round and do it for you. This is a horrible illness, whatever it may be, and you deserve care and sympathy.

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 23:11

anyone had stomach pains? I had mild pain yesterday night and now again today. Thought initially that it was my period but it is definitely tummy ache.
