@longshot started a new thread as the other filled up and I thought you were poorly and people would be wanting to find out how you were doing.

OP posts:
Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 23:21

@user34254356 yes I did to begin with when I had diarrhoea. Quite bad stomach pains low down. That has stopped (for now) Have you had a dodgy stomach?

Needsomegoodnews · 27/03/2020 23:33

@Sambucus yes, I've had an intermittent fever right the way through, going down a bit at times but then back up to 37.8-38. Yesterday (day 10 of fever) was the first day it didn't get that high but up again most of today.
@EMichel102 I've had hot face flushes today (day 11) and haven't before despite fever. Also feel concerned that it's 2 steps forward and then 2 steps back again!

onlinelinda · 27/03/2020 23:39

Still reading (squinting in, more like). We will be ok in the end. Keep rested x

StormBaby · 27/03/2020 23:48

Thanks @Moonbaby321and @Porcupineinwaiting. I'm not a sickly person at all which makes it even worse. The fact that they now blatantly have it too but its 'just a normal cough, not corona' is giving me the rage. Do they not think I felt like that for the first 7 days too? Stupid!

DandyPenguin · 27/03/2020 23:48

Virtual hand hold @longshot

I’m on Day 10 and my symptoms have also taken a turn for the worse.

Constructed throat & chest and bad lung and back pain, sometimes shooting and stabbing. Been so exhausted I’ve been asleep all day. Now it’s night I’m hoping I won’t be awake for hours as has been my pattern recently. Although since this started I’ve never slept practically the whole day as I did today.

I have sympathy for the poster who’s not getting sympathy. I’m self-isolating from my family within the house and feeling lonely and tbh rather emotionally neglected.

Sambucus · 28/03/2020 00:09

Thanks @Needsomegoodnews. It’s really wearing isn’t it. Thank you for posting, it helps to know I’m not the only one. I hope you’ll be feeling better soon and we all start recovering.

DandyPenguin · 28/03/2020 00:31

Ok just going to spell it out. Suffering here. Anyone still up for a chat?

SchrodingersKitty · 28/03/2020 00:42

I can chat Dandy.

SchrodingersKitty · 28/03/2020 00:44

I get what you mean about lack of sympathy: my DH and DS have been very good, but my parents when I speak to them on the phone still don't really believe I've been ill - my dad tells me each time we speak that 'your cold is better now': they'd basically rather avoid thinking about it as they don't want to worry, I think.

SchrodingersKitty · 28/03/2020 00:46

@DandyPenguin: how are you feeling at the moment?

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/03/2020 00:49

So sorry for anyone suffering now. This has been a great thread for me. I seem fine now with antibiotics, which I explained on the last thread.... Day 5 of them today. I’m glad you’re ok longshot.

tupperwaretowers · 28/03/2020 00:51

Suffering here too. Day 14 if taking it from when back pain started, 10 days from sore throat. Then a mixed bag of symptoms that come and go with the odd patch of feeling I’m over it. Really tired/wiped out after doing not much, stabbing pains in chest, dicky tummy. Today wasn’t as tired, negligible chest pain. Odd face flush but generally normal temp but ended this evening with a red hot face/neck flush and a raised temp for me of 37.3.

Isadora2007 · 28/03/2020 00:51

I’ve read a few people mention a band like a tight bra- how far down did people who had this feel it? I have the oddest sensation but quite far down my ribcage- like a few inches below where my bra would fasten round. Feels like someone has their hands round me- in fact I checked my PJs weren’t up a la Simon Cowell and also that my bed covers weren’t bunched around my middle initially as it just feels odd. If I have cv19 then chills were my first symptom and I’m on day 6... but my headache has been ongoing for weeks and feels like (I was assuming it was in fact) sinusitis- round my eyes and cheekbones mostly and doesn’t really shift at all.
Breathing is normal and only a slightly tickly dry cough which is not persistent but happens daily...
Thoughts appreciated?

DandyPenguin · 28/03/2020 00:51

Thanks Kitty.

I’m feeling very constricted in the chest. Some stabbing pains in the lungs.

I’m crying. One of only two Covid Cries I’ve had in the last ten days. This whole thing is making me do a lot of reflection.

raysoflight · 28/03/2020 00:51

Can someone tell me please when you are starting to count days? When is day 1? When you think you caught it or when you started feeling ill?

Isadora2007 · 28/03/2020 00:53

Oh and I also have had face flushing this week on and off, one bout of bad diarrhoea which I assumed was period related, chills day 1-3 and burning eyes. Oh and a son (grown up and doesn’t live with me) with classic CV symptoms who I saw 4 days prior to my chills starting...

Isadora2007 · 28/03/2020 00:54

@raysoflight I’d say my day one was chills but headache has been there for weeks so unsure if it’s even related.

DandyPenguin · 28/03/2020 00:54

@SchrodingersKitty I’ve definitely got it worse in one side than other. The stabbing pains are only the right. Even my cough feels like it’s more on the right. This is such a strange thing.

Isadora2007 · 28/03/2020 00:55

@DandyPenguin reflection about what?

DandyPenguin · 28/03/2020 00:57

Reflect on mortality and what quality of life & good health means. What I want to achieve before I die. Changes I want or need to make.

Joeaj23 · 28/03/2020 00:58

I counted day 1 from when I Started having a mild fever and felt like a cold coming on

Does anyone else have the problem of falling asleep and then stopping breathing which wakes them up making it very difficult to sleep?

DandyPenguin · 28/03/2020 01:03

@SchrodingersKitty you still there?

TheDrsWife46 · 28/03/2020 01:05

Hi, I’ve just reregistered after three years away from here to join this thread. Is anyone there to talk?

Can I just share my story a little but as I’m very very frightened...

Isadora2007 · 28/03/2020 01:05

@Dandypenguin your reflective stuff sounds like it could be really positive and productive for you. Have you been writing a list or just musing? What do you think your biggest or first change will be?

Isadora2007 · 28/03/2020 01:06

@TheDrsWife46 I’m awake and here.
