My lungs feel like they are on fire. Anyone else

I was on here last week saying it was all an over reaction. I am one who usually tries not to panic. And that is what I was thinking. It is not good to panic people. I also thought that it was blown up in the media. Well. Now I am sick myself. So I have learned - it is actually happening. I am scared

I have been ill for three days, chest pains, - heavy breathing. And what is very scary to me - my lungs feel like they are on fire. It is a feeling that I have never felt before. I am really scared. Where I am - I am being told to self isolate. If it gets more serious - I will go in somewhere.

But I am really scared. Does anyone else feel like their lungs are on fire? Is anone else sick

I havent heard that burning feeling in lungs is a symptom?

@onacleardayyoucansee I am in the republic of Ireland. I have been told to self isolate for some more days. I am not in difficulty breathing (if it gets to that stage I will go in), just my breathing is heavy, my cheat hurts, and my lungs feel on fire.

I have no idea if it’s coronavirus but I have a tight chest, with a slight burning sensation, too. I’m not in pain but I did go to a family party on Saturday evening so highly conscious I could have picked something up. I’ll isolate myself as much as possible but have two kids who are still at school at present.

I was fine until I popped to the shops three days ago, I came home and was instantly unwell.

Thank you! I was fine until yesterday afternoon and thought maybe it was the wine from the night before but I’m definitely still not right today - heavy, burning feeling in my chest. I feel so worried about my Dad who is on his own ...going to be a lonely time for people without immediate family around!

It is scary. My lungs feel so weird.

I have been thinking of all the things that I didn't do in life. And saying in my mind, "please let me get better, so I can go and do this"

Oh Op, I hope your okay. Are you pretty healthy otherwise? Make sure your drinking a lot of fluids & trying to eat enough. Major point, stay hydrated! Keep us informed of how you are x

I have this, I posted earlier. I am also a bit scared. This is day 6 for me and I felt quite a lot better today but I seem to get worse through the day and now feeling bad again.

Symptoms started with sudden exhaustion, achey chest, painful joints, sore back. Low temp on day 2, chills and same as above, since then mainly sore / burning lungs feeling, like something sitting on chest or wearing super tight sports bra. Then today felt a bit better but tonight it’s all back again. Only a slight cough, very dry.

I’m 38, very fit, no health issues so not too worried but the longer it goes the more worried I get of course. Haven’t bothered calling anywhere as they wouldn’t do anything unless I can’t breathe and I’m not at that point.

I’ve had burning chest - in between my boobs area

I’ve had very minor sore throat on and off and a cough but it wasn’t persistent or continuous so dismissed it. It was slightly worse today but not persistent and i would never normally take time off with these symptoms

I haven’t a fever either but the chest pressure is really noticeable - I’ve had it over a week - feels bit like indigestion - though I’ve never actually had that, just what I imagine

I don’t know what to do

I don’t have fever and I don’t have continuous cough but I defo feel ‘off’ and I have a cough that is on off all day

Not sure if I should be isolating but my symptoms don’t exactly match

I swear my mum had CV over Xmas. She said she got better then it hit her hard again. If it was CV seems to come back on more aggressive. She was sick for weeks but she does have underlying conditions. I hope it reassures some of you that it might be normal to feel better then go back! Take care everyone. Keep posting if you need to. We are all here to heal, support & listen

@Sunshine1239 chest pressure, yes. I am lying down right now and it feels like something is sitting on my chest.

I just talked to my friend in the UsA and she said that if we get it - the first 3-4 days are the worst, and then we should get better.

You are the second person I've seen mention lung burning. Please seek help if you need it and hope it passes soon.

I’m off work now with a sore throat, occasionally cough and a bad chest since yesterday afternoon. My chest feels heavy and I have that burning feeling too sometimes.

I was ok this morning though and disinfected the house but this afternoon just felt wiped out and achey. In bed now hoping I’ll be well tomorrow

I have a sore chest like when you have a chest infection. Had sore throat off and on for a week now but otherwise well. But. I have kidney disease. It's managed without medication at this stage but not sure if I'm in a vulnerable group as I can have the flu jab. Does anyone know if it is in the stay at home for 12 weeks group?

Am my ex (we still live together) is taking our son to the cinema tomorrow. He's booked tickets already the selfish twat and can't see a problem 🤷🏼‍♀️

sunshine I have exactly the same symptoms. It almost feels like heartburn but higher up slightly?

I also have a sore throat on and off and a v slight cough.

I'm off because both my girls have coughs.

I certainly don't feel ill though. So if it is CV, let's hope this is it and we've got off lightly

Hi @angell84 are you on a waiting list to get tested/have you been tested? If not you need to ring your GP for a referral in the morning. Take care of yourself. It’s a scary time.

I hope you feel better soon, as well as all the others on here who are unwell.

I also think I may have it, chest feels very tight and achy, almost bubbly down low in my lungs. I literally NEVER get chest infections. It's something I've never felt before. Had a severe sore throat all weekend too.

Not sure if I should be going into work or not. Few of us have mentioned this in work too!

We've all got the sore throat, the cough and tight chest. If its not just another bug then it was inevitable really, the rest of the family work in the service industry in a big city.
I'm on the 'stay at home list' but have an awesome immune system so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I survived swine flu, this bugger isn't taking me down.
