My lungs feel like they are on fire. Anyone else

I was on here last week saying it was all an over reaction. I am one who usually tries not to panic. And that is what I was thinking. It is not good to panic people. I also thought that it was blown up in the media. Well. Now I am sick myself. So I have learned - it is actually happening. I am scared

I have been ill for three days, chest pains, - heavy breathing. And what is very scary to me - my lungs feel like they are on fire. It is a feeling that I have never felt before. I am really scared. Where I am - I am being told to self isolate. If it gets more serious - I will go in somewhere.

But I am really scared. Does anyone else feel like their lungs are on fire? Is anone else sick

angell84 · 16/03/2020 23:39

@arthurmorgan my eyes hurt too. They feel kind of dry

@ChippityDoDa

Very interesting. Did he mention his lungs burning or just the tightness? I hope you're all doing well!

pinkoneblueone · 16/03/2020 23:41

I am literally shaking out of control reading this could have written half the posts by myself

day1intheisolationhouse · 16/03/2020 23:42

angell84 I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you. You know you shouldn't be blaming yourself though, right? That's totally on him. It wasn't your fault. Flowers.

Have you got any RL support?

On another note, my mum believes this is all a hoax. I thought you could all use a laugh... Or cry.. 😬 😂

notangelinajolie · 16/03/2020 23:44

@angell84 I'm so sorry Flowers

hollieberrie · 16/03/2020 23:44

@fishandsnails How are you feeling now? I feel worse in the evenings. Also felt a bit faint earlier but it faded. My chest is so heavy.
I reeeeally thought it was pregnancy!! (note I have never been pregnant)

HollyHocks13 · 16/03/2020 23:45

I've had a tight chest for 5 days now - it feels like pressure between my ribs and is sore if I breathe deeply. Also had a mild sore throat. Could this be it? I never get chest pain and this is unusual for me. No temperature though...
Of course it could be something else or hay fever? I won't take any chances and risk passing it on...

Thinkingabout1t · 16/03/2020 23:50

Angel, that’s terrible. Please rest and be kind to yourself. You have nothing to blame yourself for. He should be in prison. but I know how hard it is to go to the police, especially when there’s so little chance they will take him to court.

Let’s hope karma catches up with him. No, damn it, I hope his bloody prick falls off.

More importantly, i hope you recover well, both from the virus and from the rape.

caringcarer · 16/03/2020 23:50

2 days before Xmas I was ill. I had a terrible hacking dry cough, headache, high temperature and I felt totally exhausted. This went on and on and I have chronic asthma so breathing in and out started to hurt. In mid January I was still no better so went to see GP. Inhad pneumonia and was given antibiotics to clear it up. I finally got rid of it and started to feel better 2nd week of February. There were daysxwhen my lungsxwere burning and I lost my voice too. I keep wondering now if I could hafe had this Covid19 virus. I have never been to China and did not know anyone else who had been. I know it was supposed to be in Wuhan in December. Now I am hoping I am immune but dh says it could jit have been Covid as too early for UK.

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 16/03/2020 23:50

oh yes I had nausea too on Friday- that was the first symptom I had.

Angel hope you are getting some support x

notangelinajolie · 16/03/2020 23:50

@HollyHocks13 I think it could be it. It's so wierd that there are so many of us with tight chests yet it's not one of the symptoms we are told about. I genuinely thought it was anxiety or maybe indigestion. The ache goes right through to my back.

angell84 · 16/03/2020 23:51

I hope everyone feels a bit better tomorrow.

I don't know how true this is, but some - one told me that, if we do have it, the first three to four days are the worst, then it should get better. That most of us should recover.

Talking on here to other people going through the same thing is so helpful and calming

OP posts:
hollieberrie · 16/03/2020 23:52

Yes it aches through to my back too. My whole torso feels solid and heavy somehow.

hollieberrie · 16/03/2020 23:53

It really is. Thank you OP for starting this, I hope you feel better soon.

caringcarer · 16/03/2020 23:53

I found Sudofed helped me to breathe, if you could try that.

Daisiest · 16/03/2020 23:54

I'm so sorry for what happened to you Angel.

I have all these symptoms too, I'm convinced I've got corona. I think I picked it up at a hospital visiting a relative. Someone died the following day there of corona.

MoreHairyThanScary · 16/03/2020 23:54

I am really shocked by this thread it describes exactly how I am feeling, no temperature or sore throat but burning in the chest, I don't suffer with heartburn but bought antacids today.

My sister lives 500 miles away and has described something similar.
