Why has MSM not reported on the condition of the Israeli hostages?

Pictures showing their terrible state are all over SM.

Why is there nothing in MSM about how starved these young men are who have been held hostage by demonic terrorists in unimaginable conditions for almost TWO YEARS?

This has absolutely disgusted me.

Headlines about Palestinian starvation in Gaza with the only visible evidence of that being sick children who’s medical condition would have contributed to their appearance, but real visible evidence of starvation among the Israeli hostages held by the Palestinians is totally ignored?

Are you suggesting the footage is fake?

That’s quite an accusation if so.

I could have sworn that I read somewhere when the story first came out a few days ago that the family had specifically said they didn’t want his image circulated in the media as it was too upsetting for them (I think they’ve changed their mind now and given consent). So possibly this is why the story has been downplayed a bit especially initially? Out of respect to the family’s wishes? I can’t imagine how distressing this is for them. Let alone Evyahar David himself.

I also think it’s deeply cynical of Hamas to release these images right now. And yes it does feel a bit triumphalist, like they are laughing at it all.

I read the Guardian most days and I have definitely seen the story over the past few days but I agree it hasn’t been “front page” news there, unlike the situation in Gaza.
