Why has MSM not reported on the condition of the Israeli hostages?

ConscientiousObserver · 02/08/2025 12:19

Pictures showing their terrible state are all over SM.

Why is there nothing in MSM about how starved these young men are who have been held hostage by demonic terrorists in unimaginable conditions for almost TWO YEARS?

This has absolutely disgusted me.

Headlines about Palestinian starvation in Gaza with the only visible evidence of that being sick children who’s medical condition would have contributed to their appearance, but real visible evidence of starvation among the Israeli hostages held by the Palestinians is totally ignored?

I wonder if those supporting hamas being given a state supported isis having their own caliphate too. Probably.

I expect there's an overlap on the venn diagram.

The people in the UK & US who celebrated 7/10, this is what they are supporting. What a sickness.

So bad to watch.

ConscientiousObserver · 02/08/2025 22:55

Have the Red Cross been to check on the hostages does anyone know?

They’re still there are aren’t they, reporting on Israeli war crimes?

This is Israeli Evyatar David who has been held HOSTAGE, STARVED and EMACIATED by HAMAS since October 7th 2023.

Why is this not Front Page News on the BBC, ITN, SKY News, CNN, NBC, PBS and all of the other MSM press & media all over the civilised western world?

Ending the HUMANITARIAN crisis in Gaza means releasing ALL 50 hostages still held by HAMAS....

Recognising a non-existent country (palestine) by fallen democracies France, Canada and the United Kingdom IS AFFIRMING TERRORISM by HAMAS...

Why has MSM not reported on the condition of the Israeli hostages?
Dandeliontea123 · 03/08/2025 09:47

It’s absolutely horrific. I can’t imagine what it must be like to be a family member of a hostage right now.

LadyCankleOfGrantham · 03/08/2025 09:57

So BBC News have finally reported on it.

If you don’t believe that BBC is biased against Israel this should convince you - not ONE of these two pictures shows the emancipated state Evyatar is in now. They’re both “before” pictures. So of course half wits are commenting how he doesn’t look that bad.

Can we please all use this screengrab to formally complain to the BBC

*emaciated

spoonbillstretford · 03/08/2025 10:08

Could you post a link @LadyCankleOfGrantham?

spoonbillstretford · 03/08/2025 10:12

Don't worry, I found it.

@LadyCankleOfGrantham It's a photo of the hostage's brother holding up a photo of the hostage. It shows the actual photo of the emaciated hostage in the article.

Did you actually read the story and didn't understand the words and pictures, or just start spouting about the BBC without checking facts first?

spoonbillstretford · 03/08/2025 10:17

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza isn't front page news either. Ongoing stories fall off the front page unless there is something new to report. It leads on Channel crossings.

What aren’t you understanding ? The BBC don’t shy away from distracting images. Yet under a headline about an emancipated hostage they don’t even show his current picture. Knowing fine well people will look and assume that picture is of him, not his brother.

BBC are not balanced on the issue and this shows why.

PurpleChrayn · 03/08/2025 10:22

I never thought I would see an emaciated Jew digging his own grave.

I’m just glad my grandparents aren’t around to see it. They saw it the last time around.

They haven’t.

However, they did take part in the despicable handover ceremonies of living and deceased hostages, including the bodies of a baby and toddler.

Sickening. I actually found it hard to sleep thinking of this poor man kept in tunnels for nearly two years, now emaciated and ordered to do this.

It’s constantly in the news. It’s all I hear about. It’s forever on the front page. I’m sick of BBC News push notifications about it when the hostages are barely mentioned.

But I don’t understand your point?

LadyCankleOfGrantham · 03/08/2025 10:27

BTW @spoonbillstretford the hostage story isn’t on any of the front pages today. Not one

Gaza is though.

Happy?

Hamas won’t allow the Red Cross access to hostages

Those lovely peace keeping Hamas people who just want peace and aren’t dangerous

Gaza isn't on the front page. It is given the same profile as the Israel hostage story.

LadyCankleOfGrantham · 03/08/2025 10:33

In fact @spoonbillstretford in not sure sure why you say <checks notes> The humanitarian crisis in Gaza isn't front page news either if you’re not even going to check that statement is true.

Yesterday the Guardian and Independent both had front page news stories about it. Today the Sunday Times does. Why did you claim this wasn’t the case?

Not one front page story about the hostage digging his own grave.

Check your facts first please before posting nonsense

Erm…have you looked at today’s papers? Did you look at yesterday’s?

xanthomelana · 03/08/2025 10:36

Well whatever state the people of Gaza are in is what I’d assume the hostages look like right now because no food or water getting in is bad for both of them.

If you mean BBC online - our front pages are all different based on cookies, algorithms etc. so my “front page” looks “ different to your “front page” which looks different to tigers.

But to say Gaza isn’t given high media attention is just plain lies. Especially with the BBC, who never seem to post about nothing else as Hamas - who are the PR and comms outfit speaking on behalf of Gaza - seem to have the BBC in their pockets.
