Conflict in the Middle East

Why has MSM not reported on the condition of the Israeli hostages?

ConscientiousObserver · 02/08/2025 12:19

Pictures showing their terrible state are all over SM.

Why is there nothing in MSM about how starved these young men are who have been held hostage by demonic terrorists in unimaginable conditions for almost TWO YEARS?

This has absolutely disgusted me.

Headlines about Palestinian starvation in Gaza with the only visible evidence of that being sick children who’s medical condition would have contributed to their appearance, but real visible evidence of starvation among the Israeli hostages held by the Palestinians is totally ignored?

Indeed.

My heart goes out to the hostages and their families, every day.

Lucyintheskywithdiamonnds · 02/08/2025 15:22

Because no one seems to give a shit about the hostages 😡. In fact if you mention them I find people say never mind the hostages - what about the Palestinians. Disgusts me, it’s not one or the other. And no Israel aren’t the nazis here, Hamas are.

ConscientiousObserver · 02/08/2025 15:58

It’s despicable isn’t it.

No mention of Israelis held hostage who do actually look like concentration camp prisoners.

Where have pictures come from on SM.
I don’t do any social media, insta etc stuff.

If it’s a news agency of some sort….which one ?

Aaron95 · 02/08/2025 16:27

Other than The Times, The Telegraph, The FT, The Washington Post, CNN, which mainstream media did you mean. Those are just the ones on the front page of Google.

LadyCankleOfGrantham · 02/08/2025 17:02

It goes against their anti-Israel reporting

I saw an interview with a freed hostage about games that Hamas would make them play that have haunted me ever since. Had to watch on American TV. It didn’t play in the UK

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 02/08/2025 17:02

Do you mean the living hostages, or the ones that have already been murdered.

It must be very difficult to report on the condition of hostages that are already deceased.

The only thing that can and should be done is to return them to their families, to allow the families closure and to grieve and to be able to give their loved ones a decent and dignified funeral.

girljulian · 02/08/2025 17:07

As pp have said: they have. Doesn’t get much more mainstream than the Daily Mail.

TBF the DM covers it - a shame left leaning papers seem to refuse. It’s their readers who could do with a dose of the truth.

You did say it was on Social Media. As I said I don’t so SM do it was a reasonable question.

My Google now turned up The Mail aswel
It says the images were sent by Hamas to the family
Perhaps they want families to push more for a permanent end. ?? Although I’m aware they are all still demonstrating in Israel for this I doubt Netanyahu will be swayed

Terrible conditions in that tiny space aswel !!

Still can’t get over people protesting with signs like “Queers for Palestine” 🤔

Turkeys Christmas etc

Hamas seem to have taken the message that they can do whatever they want now.

The videos of the hostages were harrowing.

Yes. Hamas must be positively gleeful that most of the west seem to hate Israel and Jews now 😖.

Comedycook · 02/08/2025 21:10

I've just seen the video...it's horrifying. Worse than I could have imagined. They are monsters.

ConscientiousObserver · 02/08/2025 21:14

Oh I didn’t see it on MSM but it got there.

Hamas have now released a video of one of the hostages, Evyatar David, being forced to dig his own grave. Clearly it is to try to humiliate Israel.

Hamas are obviously thankful for Western leaders for their support.

The BBC are a disgrace if they haven’t covered this

Hamas are monsters. The hostages must be released and Hamas must be destroyed. Nobody can be expected to have such savages living next door

It is on BBC news and I was just scrolling through TikTok and it came up on Sky News . Can't imagine the pain of the families seeing that.

The issue is we don’t know if many are dead or alive. There’s 50 in Gaza, evidence to suggest 30 are dead but we don’t really know

Omg I feel sick at this. What are we doing?

Why are we working with terrorists and placating them

Foreverm0re · 02/08/2025 22:35

All people care about is how hard they can wave their Palestinian flag.

Gloriia · 02/08/2025 22:42

Oh everyone's sick of it apparently. On another thread a poster quite proudly announced 'sick of hearing about Oct 7th, sick of the hostages, next!' . Not one pro gaza poster pulled them up on it. It is sickening how some have fallen for hamas' bollocks and turn away from horrific photos of the hostages, the only adults we've actually seen in gaza massively emaciated.

quantumbutterfly · 02/08/2025 22:43

The people in the UK & US who celebrated 7/10, this is what they are supporting. What a sickness.

People REALLY don’t like Jews talking about how they suffer do they. You should see the statistics for how many people think Jews should STFU about the Holocaust.
