Hamas didn’t need to kill any civilians did they? They still don’t need to as it’s easy to spot Israel soldiers in their uniforms.

Whereas Israel had to in order to find & destroy Hamas fighters hiding amongst civilians & leaders who hide out in tunnels underneath hospitals & other public buildings.

Hamas only show themselves when it is safe to do so. Otherwise they hide in amongst the civilians, such is their disdain for normal Gazans.

And the ones killed before October 7th??

Hamas certainly didn't need to kill civilians either and they should never have committed such an atrocity.

We've already veered away from talking about the purpose of the thread - which maybe should have it's title changed to add that 2 top Hamas leaders got killed too - I'm not going to be drawn into things that happened before this war even started.

Hamas deliberately sought and went after civilians on Oct 7th in the same way the other terrorist groups in the region do.

Hamas want as many of their own civilians to die as possible. Why do you think they embed themselves in civilian areas like hospitals, schools. refugee camps and residential buildings?

It’s a war, not a genocide. A war Hamas could end at any moment by releasing the hostages and surrendering/disbanding.
