Tel Aviv under attack from at least eight rockets fired from Rafah in Gaza

Hamas's military wing claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday, according to Press Association.

What happened after by Israeli airstrikes was truly terrible - a real tragedy.

But why are Hamas still firing rockets deliberately at a residential city with no combatants.
As long as Hamas are in power rockets will never stop. Plus all the Aid Britain and America are giving just goes straight to Hamas. They started the war haven’t released the hostages and have no intention of surrendering.
The UN orders Israel to stop fighting.
But Hamas are free to continue their attacks.
Makes sense to someone I guess...........

Pointless post?????????????????????? Wow.

I said the Israeli attack that followed the Tel Aviv rockets was terrible and a tragedy

But you seem to think it is OK to dismiss rockets being fired onto civilians who don't have terrorists hiding amongst them.

Hamas needs to give up t heir arms and we can all go home.

Scream for that.

I'm pretty sure Hamas didn't intend to cause zero casualties or deaths. Their intent was murderous.

As for barbaric and inhumane treatment of civilians, look no further than Hamas and its activities on Oct.7th.

Everything that has come to Gaza stems from Hamas's wickedness last October
and their threat to repeat the attack. Israel cannot be.blamed for saying enough is enough. They are not going to stop until Hamas surrenders or is destroyed.

Indeed.

But hey, they were "human shields".

Human shields that have in 9 months of bombing, proven ZERO deterrent to Israel bombing schools, hospitals, homes and every civilian facility rendering Gaza uninhabitable.

And thousands of children and babies dead.

AhNowTed · 28/05/2024 00:36

Crack on @SammyScrounge trying to excuse the indiscriminate bombing of innocent children and babies.

Yeah but "human shields".

Nobody is buying this bullshit anymore.

When Israel bomb them all anyway.

therealcookiemonster · 28/05/2024 00:43

clearly hamas have 0 interest in ending this war/saving Palestinians so just doing dumb shit to make things worse/fulfil whatever their screwed up agenda is

either way, a few home made rockets shot down easily by the iron dome does not warrant the "response" that followed

10UsernamesNotAvailableTryAnotherOne · 28/05/2024 00:49

The IDF dropped 2,000lbs bombs on tents in Rafah and Al Mawasi recently.

I wonder what your reaction would be to a 'few home made rockets' falling in your street. What do you mean by "home made rockets' anyway? Are they constructed from Lego or play doh?.or are they rockets with war heads and so on?
You have raised another interesting point by saying that Palestinian pathetic little rockets
do not warrant the Israeli response. What would a reasonable response to Hamas's attacks be? One missile? Three? Fifty?

lionlass · 28/05/2024 03:24

Are these "but Hamas" people actually serious? Stop trying to act outraged about Hamas whilst ignoring that Israel has slaughtered 35,000 people!! There is no Hamas without Israel. The blame for this whole conflict lies squarely at Israels feet. Western governments and the media can lie to our faces all they want but the people know the truth now. Israel will never recover from this and it doesn't deserve to.

daretodenim · 28/05/2024 05:08

The human shields argument. Again.

  1. Israel is documented as doing it. Multiple times, over multiple years, in Palestine and in the previous "wars" in southern Lebanon. There are images and personal accounts of both witnesses and the people used - well, of the people they used and then didn't shoot afterwards... There is footage of them doing it since October 7th too. Last week with an elderly man. Earlier this year with a 14 year old.
  1. Gazans are by definition not Hamas' human shields, even if Hamas is trying to use them as such, because they're absolutely no protection. Shields offer protection. Israel just kills everybody everywhere anyway. So how can Gazan civilians be shields when they offer no protection at all.

thank you for mentioning the idf using Palestinians as human shields. this is completely overlooked.

I love how everytime this topic is discussed - "hamas uses Palestinians as human shields" is trotted out. while the reality is the opposite. its like in 1984 by George orwell - say the opposite of the truth often enough and it becomes the truth, otherwise called "double speak "

Oh for goodness sakes, this is a thread about attacks on Tel Aviv and it has once again become a thread about Israel's apparent yet unproven atrocities in their efforts to dismantle Hamas. Yes, errors have been made, nut nothing intentional and so not a genocidist apologist - just telling it like it is.

Would you prefer to be in Gaza now or Israel? Which one would you and your loved ones be safer in?

what is your standard for something to be proven?

Frenchie85 · 28/05/2024 11:37

The fact there are still people trying to defend Israel's actions is just....🤯 wow.

What would you rather Israel do? Surrender to Hamas?

This is an honest questions

Do you think they're doing the right thing?

therealcookiemonster · 28/05/2024 11:49

@keenforhelp also the people of tel aviv are out protesting israels actions, feel free to go and tell them the are in the wrong as well for protesting "unproven atrocities"

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 28/05/2024 12:11

This will only be solved by all parties and their friends sitting round a table and talking.

Talking about a ceasefire.
Talking about hostage releases on both sides.
Talking about the day after.

I would rather they stopped the atrocities they are committing in Palestine, stop the genocide they are committing, stop stop stop. Pure and simple just stop

Gunnersforthecup · 28/05/2024 12:20

Is there a lot to criticise about Netanyahu? yes

Is it tragic that so many Palestinians are being killed in this war? yes.

Was the war primarily instigated by Hamas? yes

Does it appear that Hamas were in fact trying to derail a peace process in the Middle East? yes. They also killed a number of Israelis working for peace on October 7.

Are the various Western protestors useful idiots for terrorists? May well be. Time will perhaps tell. I fear that the students' youthful idealism is being cynically exploited.

What will history make of this? I think there will be much to criticise regarding both Netanyahu and Hamas. It is possible to disapprove strongly of both of them.
