Conflict in the Middle East

4 NICU babies left to die by Israeli forces

Some more in depth coverage of what happened to the four little babies in the NICU in Nasr Hospital and how they were left to die alone with nobody looking after them.

This is one of the most gruesome things I've ever heard and to be honest for the first day or so I didn't think it could be true. I didn't think even Israel could be this barbaric (though these aren't the first premature NICU babies they've killed in this conflict so I should probably not be so naive).

I can't understand how they can do this. And still they're supported by the UK and US.

Will this story appear on the televised news anywhere? I haven't seen it.

Warning: the descriptions in the article of the condition the bodies were found in are graphic.

@Sausageman1 one atrocity does not diminish another

Indeed there has been much cruelty in this war, with victims on both sides

Guys, before you get too carried away judging israel I would acknowledge and apologise for the equivalent crimes our own country has committed in the recent past.

That’s exactly why we’re criticising Israeli government so harshly: because the U.K. government is backing them in every way.

Too much evil has been done in our name. What’s happening in Palestine is no different. We are part of this.

UK navy ships and spy planes are there now.

It's hardly a surprise

They put live babies in ovens to roast alive when they raided the Kibbutz

Oh goodness sorry it was Hamas that did this not the Israelis

I knew that when I wrote it

I'm just cross these innocent babies are getting caught in the cross fire

There's no point attacking everyone who comments on here OP

Atrocious things happen during a war

We know this it's called History

Some people are psychopaths and get to live it out and others are forced into situations beyond comprehension

We don't need to confirm that killing babies is truly horrifying we know that already.

Unless we have concrete evidence we don't even know what's true or not

Lots of Americans didn't even know Auschwitz was true for goodness sake.

This is why journalists risk their lives to bring us the truth from war torn countries.

Our brains can't quite comprehend the horror sometimes

Parkingt111 · 03/12/2023 22:34

@Jenismurf you seem nice

I believe some of the babies were orphans

FoodCentre · 03/12/2023 22:47

petuniasandpetals · 03/12/2023 16:31

Why don't you blame Hamas?

We can blame Hamas for lots of things including the entire war.

But the blame for leaving babies to scream, and die of starvation, thirst or being eaten by animals lies squarely with IDF.

This is absolutely shocking and heartbreaking and you're trying to turn this into 'well blame Hamas'.

Some self-reflection is needed.

stormy4319trevor · 03/12/2023 22:48

'Atrocious things happen during war'

But you want to be able to look your children in the eye when they ask you what happened to the Palestinians. And they will, in 20 years time, probably when they visit a museum and see an exhibition about the demolishing of Gaza.

They are more likely to be dead from all the bombing, what's wrong with you ?

Sorry I don’t get this. These helpless babies were left unattended by hospital staff but the IDF killed them?

I can’t imagine NICU nurses leaving 4 ill babies alone in a hospital that was apparently going to be bombed. Surely someone would wait with them until they’d been evacuated?

Was the hospital actually bombed then as they were found as they were left and someone was able to go in and video the remains? No one checked that they’d been evacuated?

Something doesn’t add up here.

It doesn't add up does it? And the footage I saw in ITN showed they were on adult beds not in cots as you would expect.

How do you know this? Were you there? Gosh your posts are beyond vile.

Desperately sad. In 2023. By a "democracy" and a "moral army"

Why should anyone apologise? I have never served in the military, nor am I a politician, and am not British by birth. Do you think those responsible are posting here? What a strange attempt at derailing.

stormy4319trevor · 03/12/2023 23:13

@Jenismurf How were the parents supposed to evacuate premature babies? They were too fragile to travel.

AlanJohnsonsBeemer · 03/12/2023 23:15

Those comments are some of the worst I have ever read on here, I hope they are not deleted and people see exactly how revolting some posters are.

You're sick! Hamas we're disgusting but they didn't do this! This didn't have to be the answer!!! And no, I don't know what the answer is, but it's not this! I'm jewish, not that that should matter!

The IDF told each of the parents that their babies would be evacuated to safety. Babies were evacuated from Al Shifa by the Red Cross.

The IDF lied. They left the babies to die a horrific death.
