4 NICU babies left to die by Israeli forces

Some more in depth coverage of what happened to the four little babies in the NICU in Nasr Hospital and how they were left to die alone with nobody looking after them.

This is one of the most gruesome things I've ever heard and to be honest for the first day or so I didn't think it could be true. I didn't think even Israel could be this barbaric (though these aren't the first premature NICU babies they've killed in this conflict so I should probably not be so naive).

I can't understand how they can do this. And still they're supported by the UK and US.

Will this story appear on the televised news anywhere? I haven't seen it.

Warning: the descriptions in the article of the condition the bodies were found in are graphic.

Poor babies. It gets worse every day and I think we are still reeling in shock that this is the new normal. It's all so wrong but politicians backing it. I despair of the callousness of them and some posters here as well.

queenofarles · 03/12/2023 20:44

can't believe pro Israelis here can't even bring themselves to say anything that would in any way express that what happened here was wrong
The most , the absolute most and that’s being very generous would say , " well what did you expect that’s what happens at war." 🙄

This story has haunted me for the last couple of days, I couldn’t bring myself to watch the video.

I feel as if I have no words anymore.

Katy231 · 03/12/2023 20:45

My heart goes out to the poor mothers.

Helpless and who have just delivered their babies. Struggling to care for their other children. Forced to flee. The guilt of leaving their baby's behind. The guilt of not being able to protect them. Wondering if they could somehow be in two places at once. Some of the babies' mothers have probably died. How can anyone ever defend this, I do not know.

@EasterIssland
I am not saying 'like for like'. I was responding to someone earlier in the thread. I should have tagged them.

It's hardly a surprise

They put live babies in ovens to roast alive when they raided the Kibbutz

That was proven to be false.

If you’re going to start with despicable whataboutery then at least have it be real.

The fact that you buy into the lie cooked up by Jewish extremists that Palestinians don’t exist, despite DNA data existing to prove the opposite to be true, says everything.

ChickHenLittle · 03/12/2023 21:21

That is sickening, I've read the copied article but won't watch the video or read more. Poor, poor babies. Even the Israeli government/IDF being punished by law at some point wouldn't bring justice for all these people and those defenceless babies they happily left to die. What a truly evil act.

To the posters coming on to say "but Hamas" and try to justify it - shame on you. That's all I can say while still being polite.

AllWeWantToDo · 03/12/2023 17:16

There is something wrong with people who say what about hamas or who try to blame the nurse for this. Disgusting people

Something very wrong. To come on a thread about premature babies left to die scared and alone, to bleat about Hamas or try to shift blame to the nurse who had to trust the IDF on their word as he had literally no other options. It beggars belief.

I am fucking sick of shit like this.
Jews are not the IDF, they are not one and the same, part Jewish
family here, and don't you dare try to connect my family with the horrific
actions of the IDF by calling criticism of them antisemitic. Most Jews I know
have never even been to Israel, they are third/ fourth / fifth generation
British.

Parkingt111 · 03/12/2023 21:30

When I first read about this I didn't comment on it until awhile later as I thought it was low even for the IDF

I posted about it later on the hospital thread once more information came to light including a statement by the ICRC
The doctors and remaining staff were forced to evacuate the hospital by the IDF
They took everyone with them except the remaining babies which they could not as they were critically ill on oxygen. They had no choice but to leave them behind or risk them dying whilst trying to evacuate them
They asked the IDF to move the babies to another hospital

After the truce commenced and the IDF retreated from An-nassar hospital the people went back and found the babies dead and decomposing

It was absolutely horrific

And before you accuse me of being a Hamas supporter, I think Hamas are murderus psychopaths as well.

Parkingt111 · 03/12/2023 21:34

I follow the updates on Gaza's healthcare infrastructure quite closely and I remember the circumstances around an-nassar hospital at the time when they were forced to evacuate
It was mentioned then too that they had to leave the babies behind
Il try and find it again and post on here

I live in an area of the UK where there are many Jewish people. I've only really spoken to 4/5 of my Jewish neighbours about this but they all are equally horrified by what is happening. I hate it that people make this about Jewish people. I went to morrocco recently and a Jewish taxi driver there was telling me that he was horrified too.

Jewish people have got nothing to do with this and every Jewish person I have met has always been completely normal and friendly.

PurpleChrayne · 03/12/2023 18:20

If this did indeed happen, it was easily preventable. Hamas could have given back all of the hostages and stood down. We were in a ceasefire. Hamas broke it.

But once again, it's big bad Israel who is to blame.

Quel surprise.

The cognitive dissonance to go from “This was easily preventable” to “Hamas could have…” is truly astounding.

You do realise that the IDF wasn’t forced to let NICU babies die a slow, painful death, right?

Or was Hamas stood there making them do it?

Complete insanity. There is no other explanation.

PTSDBarbiegirl · 03/12/2023 21:38

Netenyahu is a fucking war criminal. I actually can't think of anything worse than abandoning 4 little premature babies to die alone and not even be in someone's arms is the sickest thing I've heard. I can't wait to hear that these fucking people have been arrested and taken to The Hague's prison for trial. Fuck them all. Sanctions on Israel NOW.

Parkingt111 · 03/12/2023 21:40

At approx 3.40 the doctor talks about the evacuation of An-nassar hospital that was forced on them by the IDF aswell as how they asked for them to evacuate the remaining babies

The attack on Gaza's health care infrastructure has been horrendous and at a point where it is now close to collapsing. The US have warned Israel it can not carry on attacking critical infrastructure but too little said and too late.

Nope. Another IDF lie and projection of what they themselves are guilty of.

There is documented case of a baby being burnt alive in the oven, it occurred in 1940s and was carried out by the Haganah (pre cursor to the Israeli Army) during the Ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian village of Deir Yassin.

Considering the depraved acts committed by the IDF and the Israeli govt that have already come to light, I hate to think of what else they’re doing in the dark that won’t come out for decades, or ever.

The secrets of genocide and oppression that will die with their Palestinian victims.

PeasfullPerson · 03/12/2023 21:46

I’m so fed up of seeing people be treated like disposable pawns. And I’m sickened by the actions of psychopaths and sadists who take their chance to act out their own selfish desires under a cloak of war.

Definitely. It gives me chills thinking about what they are hiding. The communication blackout says it all.

I recommend following Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah on social media. His accounts of working in Gaza hospitals recently are absolutely harrowing, and tell you everything you need to know about the horrors being committed by IDF. Since his return to London he has been to Scotland Yard to report all of the war crimes he has witnessed.

Thank you for sharing. I just watched this.

It is utterly harrowing.

It really is on every decent person to speak out against this and to participate in activism in any way that they can.

We can’t just watch this happen.

“Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.” John Stuart Mill

This is just from 20 minutes ago. The attack on health care has to stop. How can Israel do this and then say we are not attacking civilians.

Two paramedics wounded after Israeli forces 'fire on' ambulances - PRCSThe Palestine Red Crescent has said two paramedics and a patient have been wounded after Israeli forces fired on ambulances.
The organisation said the crews were hit in the Faluja area in northern Gaza while transporting an injured person.
