Here is a doctor inside Al Shifa hospital.

No idea why they would need a bulldozer.

I noticed the bulldozers too @Readingallnight Good to hear from someone there, rather than IDF updates.

Absolutely but how long will that last.
Worried all the men in their will be taken or killed. Surely Israel wouldn’t dare.

Just hearing IDF have currently stormed the hospital currently in the surgical unit and intensive care unit

Readingallnight · 15/11/2023 02:06

I thought they said they were going to target specific areas they had ‘ intelligence’ on.
Do they think Hamas work out of an intensive care unit with patients all around.? Really !

OP posts:
HeidiInTheBigCity · 15/11/2023 02:31

Nah, they obviously think that EVERYONE is Hamas!

Glory to our heroes in the IDF as they bravely battle that scariest of all enemies, a fucking hospital!

I pray and hope they manage to overcome that elite of elites of enemy strike forces, comatose patients in the ICU. Everyone and their granmother knows that the comatose are dangerous beyond belief - second only to the mother of all horrors: newborn kittens!

I hope they prevail over the terrifying guerilla force known as "doctors and nurses", too!

Premature babies among patients in danger of dying as siege, firing cripple healthcare system.
Premature babies are in danger of dying as Israeli attacks cripple most hospitals in Gaza.

The World Health Organization says Gaza’s largest health complex – al-Shifa Hospital – resembles a cemetery.

How can this happen to places protected by international law?

And what impact is it having on Palestinians?

Presenter: Tom McRae

Guests:

Dr Omar Abdel-Mannan – Co-founder of Gaza Medic Voices

Bushra Khalidi – Policy lead in the occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel at Oxfam

Dr Mads Gilbert – Medical head and professor at the Clinic of Emergency Medicine at the University Hospital of North Norway; is also the author of the book Night in Gaza and has worked with medical teams there

Thank you for starting a new thread @Readingallnight

There's not really been any new information overnight - ie dozens of
IDF soldiers entered the hospital via the ER reception and searched the basement of the surgical block [known feature of the building] etc

Not sure that there were any patients in the ICU thought it had been already reported that they all died when their ventilators stopped working due to no electricity?

US statement about Hamas using Al Shifa hospital which seemed to greenlight the IDF operation was in past tense so maybe like Ranisi hospital Hamas have moved on?

No reports of any hostages being found or rescued

Operation being reported as ongoing

mrsjoyfulprizeforraffiawork · 15/11/2023 07:31

Just been listening to an account being given to Radio 4's today, someone reporting info from a journalist (I think the only one) currently in Al Shifa hospital. IdF soldiers are sesrching hospital, interrogating patients and medical staff inside. Any civilians are taken out to be interrogated outside in the car park. They have finished on the ground floor and are starting on first floor (where the journalist is, so unlikely to get any further reports from him). IdF told patients and civilians to leave before this but, in reality, for 3 days no-one has been able to. Four people tried to get out within those last 3 days but the IDF soldiers shot them in the legs and the medical staff had to drag them back in to save them.

SeulementUneFois · 15/11/2023 07:33

I'm not sure that all information is correct but on the other hand there's this information that people are just batting away so there's no way to talk to people who are considering everything....

Horrific. The world stands by and tolerates this. Imagine if the Russian army did this?! They are bad enough but even they haven’t stopped to storming hospitals, but it’s ok for Israel to do it?!

Efacsen · 15/11/2023 07:43

The Associated Press reports it has spoken to Mohammed Zaqout, the director of hospitals in Gaza, by phone.

He told them Israeli tanks had entered the medical compound at al-Shifa, and that soldiers had entered buildings including the emergency and surgery departments, which house intensive care units.

“The occupation forces stormed the buildings,” he said angrily over the phone, it reports. He said the patients, including children, are terrified. “They are screaming. It’s a very terrifying situation … we can do nothing for the patients but pray.”

EasterIssland · 15/11/2023 07:46

I’m pretty sure they’ll made some fake proofs to proof Hamas has been there. And move on without destroying hamas but having left a few deaths behind

EasterIssland · 15/11/2023 07:56

From bbc

Khaled, a journalist who is at the hospital, says Israeli forces are going room to room, floor by floor questioning everyone - both staff and patients - and are accompanied by medics and Arabic speakers.
Displaced people who’ve been sheltering in the compound have been made to gather in the courtyard and some are undergoing security checks.

if they’re so sure hamas is there and they’re under the tunnels why are they going room by room and also moved the displaced people?

Efacsen · 15/11/2023 08:07

if they’re so sure hamas is there and they’re under the tunnels why are they going room by room and also moved the displaced people?

They're likely doing both - still searching under the hospital but there's no-one down there to report on that

Hopefully once they've finished interrogating the people in the courtyard they will give them safe passage out

Still no word about any hostages

greatsatsuma · 15/11/2023 08:15

Just saw that the IDF severed babies oxygen inside the maternity ward at the hospital. No words.

Any link?

Efacsen · 15/11/2023 08:47

The 5th floor maternity unit was destroyed 4-5 days ago - there are pictures online of the clear-up

And the whole hospitals oxygen facilities were destroyed around the same time

Maybe that's what @greatsatsuma is referring to?

greatsatsuma · 15/11/2023 09:14

Sorry just seen this - it was on Instagram and I can't find it now for some reason but here's a link to something on Twitter saying the same thing

On the news: 100 IDF soldiers stormed Al-Shifaa. Walls have been knocked down between rooms in the intensive care and cardiac wards. Civilian men sheltering in the hospital are being taken out, stripped to underwear, blindfolded and hands tied with cable ties. No evidence provided of any hostages or Hamas activities.

Meanwhile in the West Bank, a hospital in Tul Karem is now being targeted.

So just another snatch and grab raid!!!

feralunderclass · 15/11/2023 09:23

The White House has said it does not support the targeting of hospitals.
