So another ignorant assumption. I see you are having trouble distinguishing between criticism of the Israeli government and policies and the ordinary innocent Israeli civilians

And according to your own reasoning you are anti palestinian?

You tell me what a 'Palestinian' is and I'll answer your question.

According to Google dictionary

a native or inhabitant of Palestine, or a person of Palestinian descent.

rosemaryandparsley · 25/10/2023 13:04

I'm not interested in what Google says, I'm interested in what you consider to be a Palestinian.

OK
This is what I consider to be a Palestinian
A native or inhabitant of Palestine. Or a person of palestinian descent

rosemaryandparsley · 25/10/2023 13:17

So where do you think 'Palestine' actually is ?

@Parkingt111 You asked me if I was 'anti-Palestinian'. So I tried to clarify what you meant by a 'Palestinian'. Just so we are talking about the same ethnic group.

I'm surprised you can't tell me where you think 'Palestine' is, considering you are going to great lengths to to advance the cause of these people.

ChickHenLittle · 25/10/2023 13:49

Palestine now is only the west bank and Gaza strip area, I'm sure.
I don't know if @Parkingt111 will have the same view as me, but I'd say anyone born in those regions, or to Palestinian parents, is Palestinian/of Palestinian descent. I imagine those descended from people born in former Palestinian territories could also claim Palestinian heritage.

rosemaryandparsley · 25/10/2023 13:53

@Parkingt111 @ChickHenLittle

This statement by a member of the PLO’s Executive Council, made during an interview with the Dutch newspaper “Trouw” in 1977 is about the most authoritative statement available:

“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct Palestinian people to oppose Zionism."

“For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.”

And there you have it from the horse's mouth

ChickHenLittle · 25/10/2023 14:05

You have it from Zahir Mohsen, 46 years ago, not the horse's mouth. It isn't up to this man to take away people's identities or define them according to his views and beliefs. He certainly does not speak for all Arabs.
I take it you didn't just copy and paste his words, but also know his political ideology and the faction of the PLO to which he belonged? That should tell you that he wasn't the definitive voice of Palestine. There is a reason it's called the Ba'athist perception.

Thank you for that clarification

I have been told by MNHQ that you are not happy with our interaction
Therefore I will no longer be engaging with you if it upsets you so
Good day

From the Guardian:

“Hamas militants have stopped people from approaching the Rafah crossing,a US state department spokesperson said.
Speaking to CNN, Matthew Miller said the sporadic presence of Hamas at the crossing has made the situation “extremely difficult”.
At times, Hamas has had no one there manning the border station. At other times, we have seen Hamas militants actively there with guns preventing people from approaching the crossing.”

Shocking.

Shocking but in a way not unexpected.

I expect they are waiting to hi-jack the next Aid convoy/

@rosemaryandparsley yes, you’re probably right, Hamas no doubt planning to steal more fuel to add to their stockpile.
