The main stream press aren’t really addressing the horror of what is happening (bar maybe Channel 4 news and Al Jazeera) - it’s a sanitised version.

As I said in the original thread, there has been absolute horror on both sides but the Israeli government are inflicting collective punishment on the people of Gaza, which is a war crime under international law.

I still feel we are watching genocide in real time.

It’s Propaganda.
The posters asked for independent verification.

This may well be true but it raises more issues.

Hamas' raison 'd'etre is the annihilation of the State of Israel. It is backed by Iran that has the same clause in it's Constitution. (Although I have noticed that Tehran is had distanced itself from the massacre by Hamas in Israel)

I don't think you know what 'genocide' means?

To constitute genocide, there must be a proven intent on the part of perpetrators to physically destroy a national, ethnical, racial or religious group. Cultural destruction does not suffice, nor does an intention to simply disperse a group.

Israel have never said that.

Hamas, on the other hand, have the destruction of the State of Israel as part of their manifesto.

To prove 'genocide' evidence must be submitted to the International Criminal Court.
Someone upthread has said that 'this is being looked into'. So I'm waiting for more info to see who this is.

So if I kill someone and then not admit it. But there's still proof with evidence, because I haven't said I have done it or intended to do it, then I can just go about with my life with no repercussions. That would free up a lot of prison space wouldn't it!

@mydiaryisfull they can get rid of hamas by not oppressing palestine. Letting them have access to clean drinking water and supplies. Not bomb them every few years and stop supplying hamas with the means to create 'terror'. But israel create terror for years, supply the other side with the means to retaliate then act shocked that it would happen. If israel had been fair for the last 75 years then hamas wouldn't have happened, in my opinion!

So when did they refer this to the ICC, because I can't find any mention of this anywhere?
