No news here, again. AF still a no-show. Will test again tomorrow morning, to give me something to do if nothing else! Am fully expecting another BFN, but hey at least tesco's own tests are fairly cheap...

haloflo · 16/03/2010 19:46

Hi Katzen i'm I can't really help but from googling I understand its supposed to be very light and just be either pink or brown blood. Google also tells me that only about 30% women get it & I you get it from about 9 to 14 dpo. I am also wondering if i've had implantation or AF as it was light on CD1 (although painful) & has just been spotting for CD 2 & 3. However I think it was AF and any debate over it is just the crazy baby lady within me.

I can't wait to get my book, am mad that amazon said estimated arrival is next week. OPK's on the same order so they better be here in time. In the end I went with the cheap ones for this cycle. Its ok that they are dip stick ones, I wouldn't use them at work anyway. I'm thinking i'll use them just as I get home at 5.

Fingers are still crossed luckyseven - you got a test date in mind?

I'm glad your tests were ok zippys & hope the docs can now work out whats wrong. I've no idea about when you would ovulate after this missing AF, you might just have to have lots of SWI.

Love the updates whiteroses even though I wasn't here when you got your BPF.

katzen · 16/03/2010 19:53

thanks Haloflo, I think i'll just chill out and see how things are looking tomorrow

CaveMum · 16/03/2010 20:15

Evening all. Just settling down to watch Extreme Parenting followed by One Born Every Minute and thought I'd pop my head round the door to say hi & let you know I'm still lurking!

Had a bit of a chat with dh over the wknd, he lives away during the week (could make ttc difficult when the time comes!), & said I was beginning to think I'd like to start ttc sooner rather than later (I totally blame you lot btw!).
To my surprise he agreed but we still have the Afghanistan thing hanging over us, as well as my concern that being on Maternity Leave could affect the size of mortgage we can get to move to a bigger house.

I don't think we are going to change our ttc plans at the moment. I still intend to come off the Pill in September to give myself a few months of cycle regulation before we start ttc.

Life is never easy is it?!

claireinthecommunity · 16/03/2010 23:17

Evening everyone

Thanks to all of you for your kind words of support, I have been rather depressed over the last few days (not only re ttc) but I am beginning to feel a little better today. I should be back to my 'normal' self soon .

Zippy, that is great news about getting the all clear from the scan

Sorry just a short post, but I wanted to report in.

MrsWajs · 17/03/2010 00:26

Not planning to test at all luckyseven was totally geared up for it this morning after being on here, but since arriving at work tonight I'm getting cramps so think AF will have arrived by the time my shift is finished

Gutted.

Kaloki · 17/03/2010 02:14

It's 2am and I'm awake with cramps, so sure I ov'd 2 days ago, so no idea what this is! Bloody hurts though.

So glad your scan was all clear zippys and thanks for remembering my Dad's scan. He had it on Friday and they said the results would be with him in around 10 days so it os getting on for being a week now.

Welcome to katzen and hugs to claire hope your feeling today

I'm on the phone as pc completely refusing to turn on past the blue screen of death Grrrrr!

Hope you're ok Kaloki and sorry if AF has arrived Mrswaj. I'm getting ready for work so no time to read further, hello everyone else!

I don't know when but my CD's are off on the list, actually on CD11 not 9, if someone could update next time they do the list please!

Ariesgirl · 17/03/2010 07:58

Glad scan was clear zippys. Must be a bit of a relief.

Cavemum re the house/mortgage thing, I've had similar worries except we are still in rented accommodation because of difficulties with our business. We were waiting and waiting to TTC so that our financial situation would be more secure but realised that that could be a long time, even longer if we wait until we are in our own house again. And time's already ticking by! So we just decided to go for it as we could be trying for a year or more. I'm the last person to say idiotic things like"Oh there's never a good time!" or "Oh, all babies need is love" and "Oh, babies don't cost much!" as has been said to us when we expressed misgivings (ggggrrrrrrr). About the Afghanistan thing I can't comment except to say you have my full support and sympathy. I can't imagine what that must be like, only know how rubbish I was when DH went away two weekends on the trot on a course (as some on here could testify!)

Good luck to all those testing/2WW-ing. Am now past NWL and supposed to be SWI. Huh! DH's family still around and DH is extremely stressed so don't really feel I can leap on him and demand he performs

MrsWajs · 17/03/2010 08:04

Thanks Calyx, cramping stopped after about half an hour and no AF as yet but not gonna get my hopes up, pretty sure it's still a given.

On a more positive note I'm on days off again now Back Sunday for 5 more nights and then back to the land of the living for me! Might even give temping a bash then!

zippys · 17/03/2010 08:42

Morning

mrswaj I am feeling a lot brighter again thanks, back to positive thinking . Although still perplexed over my cycle, the doc didnt really help much but if no AF by next week I will give him a call. Hope AF is not on its way for you. Hope you enjoy your time off.

Whiteroses cant believe you are that far gone already. I am sure you dont look fat really. You must be so excited about the scan.

Luckyseven - right lets gets some weight lost! Deep down I am worried my weight maybe affecting my fertility so I know I need to some loose some but it seems so hard - however I have brought loads of fruit to work today and promise to be good, but not follow a fad diet as I have done them ALL before!

Regarding a xmas baby, if I had had my cycle as normal this month then got BFP next month I would be due on xmas eve! But as we all know having loopy cycle so no idea anymore!!!

Katzen it could be implantation I wouldnt get your hopes up too much as the first few cycles for me were like that, just a little spotting sometimes a few days before AF then AF. Sorry dont want to sound negative, I am ofcourse keeping everything crossed that I am totally wrong.

Evilgiraffe - well you seem to be keeping tesco's in profit What about speaking to your doctor?

Haloflo I think I may have to agree with you , I will just have to SWI all month ! Sorry cant help with OPK's as I dont use them. Have fun reading (when your book eventually appears!!)

Cavemuum - see you knew you wouldnt be able to resist once you were on here for a while. It must be really hard for you but from someone who is approaching a year trying I would say start the sooner the better.

Claire nice to hear from you, I was starting to worry about you. You know where we are if you need to talk.

Kaloki not wanting to join the hype too much but oooh how exciting implantation pains maybe You have started the thread ....

Felicityflick keeping my fingers crossed for your Dad, let us know how he gets on.

Ariesgirl sorry hear the housefull is stopping SWI! Money can be so much of an issue cant it. I suppose we are lucky as we both have good jobs but even that causes issues, I earn more than DP and therefore when I go on maternity leave (if it ever happens) then our income will drop so substanitally but then I feel terrible for worrying about things like that when most couples dont even earn one of our wages - sorry if that sounds like I am showing off - I'm not - but you live to your means including mortgage and other commitments so although we save each month the drop in monthly income will hit us hard.

Calyx updated the list for you below, bloody computers!

Right better get on with some work as only popped on for a quick update!

luckyseven · 17/03/2010 10:01

Morning girls - i am off for St Paddys day so tested this morning and another BFN (obviously a dodgy batch of First Response tests!)

I remember not long after i joined here i thought i had ovd (cd11/12 on the CBFM) but then got really bad ov pains on CD13 - carried on SWI but it was v painful but took one for the team anyway. So as today is CD27 I might get AF today. I have had 6 x 25 day cycles since coming off the pill so depending on what happens might go back to GP about OV and painful SWI.

mrs waj - hope AF stays away for you.
zippys - i am of to Boots to but some more pg tests and put 50p into the annoying talking weighing machine - thankfully it doesn't broadcast the weight!

Happy St Patricks Day everyone!

maamalady · 17/03/2010 12:44

zippys - I'm not sure there's much point going to the doctor, as peculiar cycles are common when you've stopped taking the pill. On the other hand, I've had a letter telling me to go in for a smear test so I suppose if I book that I can (a) talk to the doctor at the same time, and (b) sod's law will mean AF turns up so the smear can't be done!

chalky3 · 17/03/2010 14:37

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been absent for a while.

Congratulations bunny on the BFP!

Welcome to all the newbies.

Glad to hear you've found out that whatever is causing your problems isn't terminal zippys, hope they find out what it is soon though.

Hope everyone else is ok, been trying to catch up but there are so many posts to read!

It seems there was no lucky month 7 for us, AF arrived last night. Tried hard not to get upset about it but it's so disappointing every month. Oh well, here we go again, let the pre-season friendlies begin!

kkas · 17/03/2010 17:37

hey guys - not much time to post so sorry i can't do individual ones. but just thought i'd pop in and say i had big patch of EWCM this morning, which is very unusual. don't normally see it til day 20-21! also usually not good to jump on DH mid-week as he is always stressed from work and likely just result in a failure, which is hard on us both. so not sure if i'll be able to do anything about it. but just wanted to report that i was pleased i saw it as that means that this cycle might not be so long as my last 3. hopefully ov can hold on til friday, when i might be able to do something about it!!!! everyone think thoughts to help keep the egg in place for a few more days please.... (ok i know this is just getting weird now... )

Calyx · 17/03/2010 18:53

Kkas gosh that's weird cos I did too! And usually it's a bit later on. I stopped temping at AF (trying to "stop obsessing" like everyone keeps telling me) but of course I would have been interested to know if I had dipped or risen when the EWCM appeared! Started temping again this morning (I'm hooked argh lol!) so will see what it does. Fingers crossed for you that it doesn't pop out till the weekend (wee egg I mean!)

kurlyvoice · 17/03/2010 20:38

Evening, girls,

I wimped out with the parsley tea after managing to get 2 teapots of the stuff down my neck and feeling sick for hours after each of them. Will maybe try it again in a fortnight if AF still hasn't arrived. But I'm going on holiday to Malta in 17 days (woohoo) so it is BOUND to turn up on the plane...

Calyx and Kkas, hope you manage to engage in some SWI over the next few days Enjoy it!

Calligraphy, so pleased that you and DH are getting 'back on track' and that he's feeling more positive about TTC. At least this month you don't have to worry about the 2ww and can maybe get some PSFs in before AF turns up...

Sorry to hear about AF, chalky.

Calyx · 17/03/2010 20:43

Calligraphy I'm glad you're back on to ttc, and keep the chin up, sending you lots of good vibes hoping things pick up for you after your wobble, stress sucks doesn't it. Lots of luck x

cherrycobbler · 17/03/2010 21:40

Hello all - just a v quick post to extend sympathies to all those in the 2ww/ have just got a BFN and to say calligraphy really glad you are no longer in limbo land (and that you have both decided to TTC!).

Nothing exciting to report here. Not much SWI this month and think my ov is all up the spout due to travel and illness, so not holding out much hope. Last cycle (first month of properly TTC) I used about six POAS tests, resolution this cycle is not to use one unless AF is very, very late. And spend the money that I save on tests, on chocolate and wine once AF arrives.

Feeling slightly chilled out about prob unsuccessful cycle may also be to do with having watched One Born Every Minute for the last two weeks and now being very, very scared of childbirth. But people do it more than once so must be completely worth it, right?!

Bellaby · 17/03/2010 21:52

Evening All

Welcome Katzen - we are looking forward to hearing about your test!

luckyseven, haloflo, zippys and Mrswajs - thanks so much for asking about my interview. I should find out more tomorrow. Not sure I'm that confident but we shall see. If it's a no then don't need to think about putting TTC on hold so it's win-win

zippys - great news about your test results. Very happy for you.

whiteroses - great to hear from you. And thanks for the boobage update (clearly after BFPs it's the most important thing to some of us in here )

luckyseven - the Christmas baby thing did cross my mind and mentioned to DH - he didn't think it would be such a bad thing so we will take our chances!

claire - big hug for you. Looking forward to having your cheerful self back on here soon! You were such a comfort to me when DH was away so have missed you over the past week

chalky - sorry to hear about AF.

Calligraphy - so glad to hear you had a good chat with your DH and that TTC is back on track! Good luck with the weight loss plan - we are all here to support you

Aries - hope the family visit will end in time for some SWI!

cherrycobbler - I like the wine and chocolate spending!

Hello to everyone else - trying to keep this quick as DH is moaning because I've not gone to bed yet. Unfortunately not because he wants a PSF - I'm interupting his beauty sleep apparently!

Been doing the test sticks on my CBDM but so far nothing exciting to report. So I remain in NWL

Not sure what is going on with this list either as I keep losing a couple of days:

Hello everyone

Sounds like you're having problems with the lost since I stopped doing the updates! Maybe you could temp me back as your permanent stats bunny with some

zippys I'm so glad to hear that your scan results are all clear. Do you think your super long cycle is related to the amount of stress you've been under recently? Are you sure of when/if you've ov'd - it might have been severely delayed if you've been feeling ill and stressed out. Might be an idea to carry on with SWI until AF arrives just in case your body's going for a record in late ovulation.

Sorry I don't have time to post to everyone - am off to the doctors in a minute to confirm pregancy and get referral to obstetrician. Am becoming more and more convinced they'll tell me that I'm imagining it!

Hi everyone, sorry I've been a bit AWOL!hope everyones ok,AF is due tomorrow so I was trying to distract myself, I'm pretty sure the witch will turn up though, I've got horrible spots that I haven't had since I was 13 so feeling quite sorry for myself! Sorry to hear about mortgage worries etc- mr and dp are still renting at the mo and although our place is lovely our landlord has a horrible habit of just turning up, or sending random workmen round with absolutly no warning! Grr!

Bit annoyed this morning as bought some items in eBay, didn't recieve them and now the seller has emailed to say she's dead. I mean, not to sound insensitive but I think that's a bit convienient! And her 'husband' has said' oh I can still post them if you want..' I mean, of course I do!I'm niot making a charitable donation! Sorry for the rant, but we all work hard for our money don't we?

mrs wajsare you testing/waiting it out? Letme know how you're getting on cycle buddy!
