kkas I am still temping - although for reassurance purposes now! I seem to be alternating temping and POASing at the moment.

Docs appointment went well - she was very excited and spent most of it congratulating me. She took lots of blood and they have confirmed that I am indeed pg. I'm now all booked with the hospital and the ob - only 6 weeks to wait till I get a scan!

I don't know if this will make those of you who have been TTCing for a while feel any better but she was impressed that it had only taken me 5 cycles - that is considered really quick in the grand scheme of things. So don't feel downhearted or give up if it seems to be taking ages - and that's on the orders of my doctor

So far I have resisted temptation and not tested although I'm starting to get ants in my pants now! Had cramping and the period feeling on Monday night so pretty much thought AF was on her way but now I'm not so sure as havent had anything else since.

Really thinking about hitting boots for some first responses but not sure if I could cope with a negative result!!

Oh don't worry I don't think she's actually dead! I think she just forgot and doesn't want to get negative feedback lol! I turned detective and found that she listed some new items last night- which is a hellof a miracle since she 'died' on Saturday!also in her listing she said she was selling stuff to raise money for her boyfriends 21 birthdayparty then the person who emailed said he was her husband!

Katzen - I had an implantation bleed. It was bright red blood but only when I wiped, once, on CD30 and then nothing after that. I don't know if that's unusual though, cause I had heard it was meant to be brown or light pink, and that's why I convinced myself I wasn't pregnant! So who knows?! Good luck anyway though.

bunnygirl that's very good to know because for some reason I've suddenly become convinced that I am completely infertile and there would be no help on earth for the likes of me. Tee hee. No really, at the moment I can't bear even the idea of having cameras and lenses and strangers peering up me. I know I'm being extremely stupid and irrational by the way. It's just there are so many statistics out there about however many in 10 couples struggling and pretty much everyone we know is pregnant or just produces, so statistically speaking I'm bound to be The One I just know it. Sob.

And DH is being a bit weird. I know he's very tired and stressed but when we decided to start TTC, though he was never mega enthusiastic, he just said if you want to we'll go for it. I think he became a bit freaked out by the vitamins and caffeine and alcohol limitations and yesterday when he pulled a bottle of cough mixture out of a Tesco's bag was the last straw. "What's this for? I didn't know you had a cough?"
" I haven't."
"Well why the cough medicine?"
"If I tell you, you 'll never sleep with me again"
And so on. In the end I told him and he threw it on the side and stomped off into the lounge. I think he thinks there should be no effort involved but babies should be made in a haymeadow surrounded by tweeting birds and butterflies and cornflowers, or on a beach with the surf pounding on the shore and the gulls crying overhead etc etc etc. If only.

Oh come on you lot, you mean you haven't heard about cough medicine? I mean...duh! No, apparently one of its ingredients helps your EWCM be more EW and therefore will definitely get you pregnant. (I feel like a twat now )

Grapefruit juice? GRAPEFRUIT juice????? How bizarre - I have been eating grapefruits for 5-a-day purposes for the last goddam month and (sorry TMI coming up) this month I'm paranoid about am I actually even ovulating such is my dearth of anything remotely resembling egg white, whereas last month there was litres of the stuff! So do you have to drink it, like loads of it (the juice obviously )? Plus I've been scoffing starflower oil, nuts, fish oil capsules - you name it - and still nothing. Hence the purchase of the cough medicine. Though as stated earlier, this had such a dramatic effect on Ariesboy I'm not sure SWI will be on the agenda.

ariesgirl I just wanted to say my DH was just the same when he found out I'd ordered some Preseed and it arrived in the post - he was v bad-tempered about it and thought I was turning into a baby-mad nightmare. Blokes just don't get it, I think. Anyway I know no-one can say for sure, but I just wanted to say that, whatever the scary statistics, the chances are that you will get pg and you won't be The One. It will be OK. I know it's easy to feel down about it.

just to add - I tried drinking a pint of GFJ a day and to no avail - but the Preseed worked a treat

Ended up doing nothing to improve EWCM (never really seemed to get much). In December (the month I conceived!) I got no EWCM at all to signal ovulation! Go figure! But my advice would be not to stress about it too much. It will happen.

nope, no male involvement. The kind I bought came in pre-prepared little plastic syringes (no needle though, ho ho ho). Before you become - ahem - romantically involved, you insert a goodish amount and Bob's your uncle. I don't think DH even knew I was using it.

Hi ladies, Ariesgirlive never heard of the cough syrup thing! How does it work? I've heard of grapefruit juice but only that some ladies wash themselves out with it before sex to make concieving a girl more probable! The things we do hey?! I don't really get why your dp was so annoyed about it though?
My friends a midwife and she reckons having your bum elevated during sex with a couple of cushions is better for ttc because there's a bit of a kink for the sperm to jump over!

cherry I like the swap from tests to wine and chocolate. I found it weird. Some months I want to test, some I am happy to leave but the first one I was like you, tested loads!! No real news from me - still in limbo land. No AF but (TMI) some aware of quite a bit of CM - not EW but not thick creamy either. Going to test again on Monday but not holding out any hope - I just happen to have bought cheap tests from superdrug!!

I have just had a skim read catch up and laughted several times, everyone seems a bit hyper and the weekend is in sight!

Will post properly tomorrow but dind dong the witch is here, two days late (seemed like 2 years). Disappointing as always but I am feeling positive, i have a lot to be thanksful for and i will have to learn to be patient, i just don't like not getting my own way!

We went to the cimema last night and i decided to break lent (i am not religious just giving up choc to try and lose weight) and chose a bag of minstrels and dh said "good choice, a packet of menstruals" - i think he is becoming a crazy baby man!

Off to drink our wedding wine that dh bought last night to cheer me up.

So glad to go through all this ttc madness with you all, joining this thread has been a good thing for me.
