No time for a big catch up but thanks to bunny and luckysevan for answering my question

Hope you're feeling ok bunny- your ham story was funny as was dinky's window cleaner story he he!!

Big hugs to mrsWajs- sorry your going through such a tough time.

Will be lurking even if I am not posting- v,busy with work and visitors at min - anyone poas soon?!

maamalady · 15/03/2010 07:54

Just reporting in - status quo remains; no AF, no obvious pregnancy symptoms either. Now on day 45! I'll test again on Wednesday if AF is still a no-show.

Good luck to anyone POAS-ing over the next few days!

zippys · 15/03/2010 08:31

Hi lovely crazy ladies, my frame of mind is now improving somewhat, thank you all so much for the support over the last few days, it really means a lot to me. Sorry I have been a moody cow

I haven't got time for a proper post now (hopefully will do tonight) but wanted to keep up updated. Still no scan results - going to chase the docs today (Hope your Dad's scan went ok Flick)

Well my body is getting weirder and weirder by the day - still no AF. Now over a week late, which it has never been before. As I have had BFN and know I am not pregant then just want AF to arrive to get back to SWI. (but there is a little little part of me that is still hoping that CB was wrong - but I was already late, so it has to be right -doesnt it?) Anyway going to speak to the doctor about it when I call him about my results.

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 15/03/2010 08:51

zippys CB could be wrong. Depends on when you ovulated as to whether POAS will detect pregnancy hormones. A friend of mine got to two weeks late and loads of BFNs before she finally got a BFP. False negatives are pretty common. Do speak to the docs, they can do blood tests to check for sure.

My BFP feels like something of a mixed blessing at the moment. feeling sick most of the time and am exhausted. I spent most the weekend asleep and am am now practically nodding off over my keyboard.

Bellaby · 15/03/2010 19:14

Evening All

Just trying to catch up - banned myself from coming on MN last few days as was swotting up for an interview which I had this afternoon.

DinkyTinky - thanks for that funny story!

Ariesgirl - hope the family are behaving themselves and not driving you around the bend too much

MrsWajs - I hope that everything works out for your DH on job front-very stressful thing to go through so please feel free to come on here to rant.

Haloflo -sorry to hear about AF arriving.

Zippys and evilgiraffe - must be very frustrating waiting... hopefully you'll get an answer either way sometime soon!

Nothing to report from me. I think my new CBFM will require me to start using the test sticks from tomorrow so will see if it reports anything interesting. Obviously plans might change if I get the job but if I don't then SWI can commence! In the meantime I think I'll warm up with some PSFs

I am reposting today's list as I seem to have lost a few days:

quick update, I just did a First response and it was negative, I am a wee bit in shock as i had started to think we might have done it this month, after all it is a prime number. Because dh had hidden the tests i did a cheap tesco ovulation strip yesterday and today which were not the same strngth line but there was a medium strong second line which got my hopes up.

DH is gutted but I will believe it when i see a single pink line in the morning or if af comes first.

bellaby - keep us posted on how your interview went.

katzen · 15/03/2010 20:44

Hi

I'm new to mumsnet. We've started ttc this month. Still waiting on period 3 days late, random cramping and lots of hope!

Will try a first response this weekend (that should be 7-8 days late so should pick up a +ve or -ve

haloflo · 15/03/2010 21:20

Hello everyone.

Thanks to all for the kind messages yesterday, I am feeling much better today and AF seems to have nearly finished after only 2 days instead of the usual 5 so that's a bonus. Now that i'm thinking clearly & not in pain I doubt I will have a break but will keep it is as option.

Luckyseven Let us know how you get on in the morning. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Bellaby I'm very interested to hear how you get on with the fertility monitor, its sounds very exciting. I hope your interview went well.

Zippys Are you going to test again? I know your BFN was hard but we are all here for you. Hopefully the docs will help.

Evilgiraffe It must be hard being in the longest 2ww ever. I hope something happens for you soon.

Loving the TTC stories Dinkyticky and kkas

MrsWajs Hope DP's job is ok.

Kaloki I also worry about my weight as my BMI is 27 but hope that its not too much of a barrier.

Welcome katzen I can't believe you haven't POAS yet if you are late? Do your cycles often vary? Let us know your stats & we can add you to the list - hopefully not for long though!!

To get set for this cycle I am going to buy the book Taking Control of your Fertility and also some OPK's. Anyone know if its best if I buy clearblue OPK's (£14.50 for 7) or just cheapies on amazon? (£5.50 for 30) - surely they are all the same?

Hi all,
Just updated my stats, haven't been on for a while as, as much as I lURRVE mumsnet I get a bit obsessed tracking the whole month, so have just jumped on for my last few days of my cycle. Not feeling very positive as no symptoms and we only managed to get down and dirty twice during OV (and not once since!) so would have to be pretty darn lucky! Congrats to all the BFP - awesome news.

Enjoy your week all!

Kaloki · 15/03/2010 23:00

haloflo Mine is more like 30 damn back injury, I was a nice neat 26 when this all started.

evilgiraffe Day 45??? That has to be good news!

zippys Be as moody as you like my dear It's understandable

luckyseven I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you

katzen Welcome in! I hope you get a BFP (big fat positive), but you have to promise to pop back in here after if you do! Otherwise we wont have enought time to get to know you!

misshooha I feel the same as you. I definitely OV'd yesterday. Massive cramps + EWCM, and dead on time for once! But DP had a migraine all day Hopefully the SWI the day before helped, otherwise I think we're going to miss our chance this month.

OP posts:
MrsWajs · 15/03/2010 23:58

Ooh bellaby good luck for interview! Fingers crossed for you.

Aww luckyseven what's your usual cycle? I notice you are a few CD's less than me but testing now? Does anyone else think I'm weird to be waiting - I'm begining to think I am!

Haloflo I use ClearBlue Digital OPK's, could just as easily use the non-digital ones but I'm sad and I like the little smiley face you get on the display lol! They are pricey tho so if the ones you've seen on amazon are the digital ones then that's a bargain but like you say, could easily get a cheaper version to save your pennies!

Hi katzen I also cannot believe you are 3 days late and haven't POAS'd yet!! Although maybe if it's just your first month off of birth control (?) your period may need a bit of time to adjust.

Kaloki are there set guideline about weight and TTC, I know obviously between 20 - 25 is ideal but is a teeny bit over gonna do that much harm, think mine is between 25 and 26 ish so I'm kind of on the borderline.

Well no more news on the job front to report today, DP's boss can't tell him anything cus apparently he doesn't know hismelf what will happen - yeah right!! So we're still none the wiser but have decided to throw caution to the wind and book holiday anyway!! YAY!

The other witch also made contact with DP this morning asking to speak with him re: DS so she is maybe seeing the error of her ways but we have a solicitors appt booked for Friday just in case it's needed.

And so far still no sign of AF! Or any sign of anything whatsoever actually
In the midst of all this aggro I have managged to lose a few pounds though

didn t test this am but no af either, i can t cope with the disappointment in case i break down in work. Day 26 today so just one day late but i do have short cycles. Kaloki- Looks like i will be continuing with weight watchers this month as bmi is 28.

MrsWajs · 16/03/2010 08:08

luckyseven fingers crossed for you. What happens now, will you wait til the weekend before you test if AF doesn't show??

I know it gets disheartening once you get past the 6 month stage. I guess we all know when we first start TTC that it probably won't happen straight away but still hope that it will! That's how I felt anyway. I think now I'm always just expecting a BFN or AF showing up each month, so I just keep telling myself that when I do get a BFP it'll be a nice surprise and I reckon I'll appreciate it all the more.

MrsWajs - Sorry to hear about everything that is going on. She sounds like a right witch but hopefully things are starting to improve. I know what you mean aboout not expecting things to happen straight away but then when nothing does after a few months it is so hard not to worry.

Haloflo -Sorry to hear about your AF - passes homemade lemon drizzle cake made at the weekend. TCOF is a brilliant read even if you dont follow it and temp you learn loads about your cycle, the only problem is I had to read it cover to cover in a couple of sessions (v late nights!)

evilgiraffe - Hope AF arrives for you soon, I know how frustrating limbo is!!

Bellaby - Have you heard about the interview yet - fingers crossed for you.Enjoy your PSFs

hi misshooha it only take once remember - you never know. I know what you mean about becoming obsessive!

Kaloki hope DP is feeling better and back to swi I too put on weight when injured and never lost it! I really hope it doesnt affect us too much.

Luckyseven - sorry to hear about BFN - it is horrible isnt it - but as others will say its not over until AF arrives. I too will be dieting as my BMI is over 25 and I seem to truggle to loose weight at the moment, my head is not in the right place, but maybe I need something to concentrate on, like weight loss.

Katzen hi and welcome to the board, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Claire I hope you are starting to feel a little brighter, I hadnt realised how hard double figures would hit me.

Yorkshire sorry to hear you feel so sick and tired, it must be weird wanting a BFP so so much and then feeling so crap when you get it - just another way for mother nature to be horrible!!

Sorry for anyone I have missed.

I need some advice - I have tested againthis morning BFN. Spoke to the doctor and he said to test again on Friday and see how I get on. I know there is a very very slim chance I am pregnant and not showing on test (like Yorkshires friend) but I think with how late I now am and number of BFN it is unlikely (as much as I hate to admit it). So I have been researching missed periods, when you just dont have one due to stess etc. I am putting this weirdness down to that, BUT how do I know when I next ovulate? Do I plan around AF was due and go from there? So confused but want to get into the mind set that it is a missed period to get back to normal.

Ooh ooh forgot to say have some good news ....test results clear - no horrible tumors causing sickness but still no answer so back to consultants but now loads of horrible things ruled out so big relief.

Hope you all have a lovely day x

Hey zippys hope you're feeling a bit better now?

She is indeed a horrible witch but have made a concerted effort not to worry about it too much for now as I'm all too aware that the stress could put AF for a few extra days which is the last thing I want! I've already lost weight over it, so i know despite my best efforts that things are starting to get to me - I'm a delicate little soul lol!!

Glad your test results were clear for you, it is a wonder about AF tho? I've never had that happen to me but I suppose I would guess at counting your days again roughly from when AF would have occurred. Did your Dr suggest what you should do?

WhiteRoses · 16/03/2010 09:25

Hi everyone!

Just quickly popping my head round the door, hoping everyone's well and wanting to wish luck to anyone coming up for testing!

Zippys - delighted to hear about the test results! [hug]

There's not much news from me at all... 14wks tomorrow and still sick and tired... Only changes have been my that my boobs have FINALLY done something! At 13+1, my bra finally became tight! Even then, my boobs aren't sore or anything, but I have gone from a 36DD to a 40DD in the space of a few days! Aside from that, I'm rapidly running out of clothes, as I seem to keep getting fatter and fatter. I don't look pregnant though, just fat! So I'm hoping that'll change soon! I'm really looking forward to April 27th now - that's my next scan and when I'll get to find out if it's a boy or a girl (hopefully). Also, I should start to feel movement around then too, if I haven't already... And I'll have a proper bump! Oooh, AND the sickness should be gone! Hurrah!

Kaloki · 16/03/2010 12:23

zippys That's really good news! It's also quite reassuring to know there is someone in the same boat as me WRT weight. I really need to diet, but I know exercise would help much more.

whiteroses You have to come back in and tell us!!

I've been told that my local hospital charges to tell you the sex due to a high number of asian families aborting if it's a girl

OP posts:
kkas · 16/03/2010 13:42

Zippys great news re scan hun, although not sure what to tell you re counting days....

whiteroses nice to hear from you! can't wait to hear more re scan in a few more weeks

kaloki re aborted girls. i find it very difficult to understand that mindset...

Ariesgirl · 16/03/2010 14:56

But say you're clearly not Asian and just want to know what clothes to get?

luckyseven · 16/03/2010 15:21

Apologies for the short post this morning i did it from bed on my phone so it was like writing one big text message! Haven't given in to testing again need to go and stock up on BOGOF FRs at Boots but no sign of AF yet. Maybe i will test tomorrow as i am off for St Patrick's Day.

Katzen - good luck with the testing and great will power if you can wait to the weekend, welcome to the loveliest, most supportive group a girl could ever wish for!

Haloflo - did you decide on the opks yet? - you probably already realise this but the cheaper ones tend to be the ones you have to dip in a cup of wee (sorry) rather than the POAS type. Not the most practical if you are testing in work during the day - best time to test is in the afternoon after trying to avoid going to the loo from lunchtime.

mrs waj & misshoohaa when do you plan to test?

zippys I could join you in the weight loss project it is good to have something else to focus on rather than ttc - i took up italian in January as a distraction project - although I mitched off last night to POAS when dh came home from work.

Christmas Baby alert for anyone testing in the next few days - for every day my period is late but still a BFN i realise I am edging closer to a Christmas baby if i were to get pg next cycle. Plug your likely dates into the ovulation calendar to see if you could be on for a Noel or a Holly!

Whiteroses - sorry that you are sick and tired but you also seem so happy, congratulations i wasn't on here when you got your bfp!

katzen · 16/03/2010 19:19

Hi Everyone

Thank you for all the kind words!

Got AF today... but my friend says it might be implantation bleeding as its only brown and light. Anybody know anything about that?
