O M G!!!! Bunnygirl CONGRATULATIONS that's AMAZING news! Oh lots and lots of luck and I hope you don't have to tell hubby twice LOL!

Thanks Kaloki for starting the new thread I hope it works for you and that you get a BFP on it!

I'm knackered as did first of a 4 day course on assessment/treatment of the lumbar spine; started at 8.30 finished after 5, got home at 6 and started my 'homework' from the course at 7, didn't finish it till about half past 9 then of course I had to try and read forward a little in the manual so I don't look too ignorant tomorrow so I was at that until half ten. After having a cuppa and a snack I've just put my clothes and stuff ready for tomorrow and I was heading for bed when I thought I'd log in and see what's doing. And it was a BFP!!! Go Bunny

I probably won't have the time or energy to do a proper read through and update until Monday so lots of luck to everyone and hellooooo to the new folk, this is the luckiest thread on MN so you've reached the right place

bunnygirl80 · 11/03/2010 23:27

Well done on winning the race to start the new thread kaloki. You can have a as a prize for your fast typing abilities....and of course you will get a BFP before this is full

Kaloki · 11/03/2010 23:28

Ooh thankyou!

How you feeling, it started to feel real yet?

Calyx I'm not suprised you are knackered!!

FelicityFlick · 12/03/2010 00:30

Oh wow!! I got up, logged on, posted congrats to bunny on the graduates thread as I didn't want to start next one seeing as am not properly ttc at min, got in the shower and whilst in the shower I thought 'I hope kaloki starts the new thread as she deserves some luck' got to work and lo and behold you have How are you doing? What is the latest on your situation?

Oh god, sports day today- wish me luck!

xx

MrsWajs · 12/03/2010 00:52

MrsWajs · 12/03/2010 08:07

Not sure if I want a flashing BFN next weekend when I test! Sorry you didn't get your BFP zippys

Well that's me back in the swing of shitty night shift , spent (almost) the entire night wondering if I had slight crampy type feelings and/or constipation (!) and surfing MN reading thru ancient threads - some people really have been through so much TTC, it kinda humbled me a little bit.

Hope everyone's feeling fine this morning and ready for another day BD/POAS/2WW'ing

I'm off to sleep

MrsWajs · 12/03/2010 08:10

haloflo I'm on CD24 today!

zippys · 12/03/2010 08:20

Thanks everyone, although you all being so nice has made me cry again.

I may not be on here that much over the next few days or possible even weeks. This BFN has knocked me really hard, what with everything else that is going on at the moment. However I will keep checking up on you all and reading your news.

When AF arrives in the next couple of days (as I am now certain she will) it will be double digits for me and with me getting more 38+ day cycles it just makes me think. The average women will ovulate 13 times a year and me only 9 or 10!

Sorry for such a me me me self piteous post.

Bellaby · 12/03/2010 08:22

Morning All

Bunny - wow amazing news. That is great - well done . I'll have a glass of wine to celebrate for you this weekend

mumsnerves - read your post about the wine too late. Ordered a large glass of wine... when it was nearly finished for some reason I poured water into it! Decided at that point it was wise not to order a second. DH gave me a very strange look!

lipstie - it's good to have you back with us

Felicity - hope sports day went well for you!

Zippys -sorry to hear about BFN.

Have a lovely day all and well done for starting the new threat Kaloki - wonder how long it will take us to fill this one!

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 12/03/2010 08:29

So sorry about you BFN zippys. Its never really over till AF arrives, but I think its probably time to start investigations. I think you are right to take a bit of a break from paying too much attention to TTC, as you have a lot on on your plate. Focus on getting yourself well, investigating any possible physical problems and give yourself a break. That said, I really hope you're on here in a couple of days saying its a false negative and you've got you BFP!!

CaveMum · 12/03/2010 08:31

zippys

Sorry you're feeling down, sending virtual ((((hugs)))) and cake your way.

Quick question for y'all. Does anyone else have a copy of Heudi Murkoff's book "What to expect before you're expecting"? I picked it up on Amazon (£15 for both this her other book What to Expect When Youre Expecting) at DH's suggestion after he saw the author on breakfast tv a few weeks ago.

I've only scanned through it so far but was quite surprised at some of the no-nos in the food/drink department when you're TTC. I drink Green Tea religiously as it is supposed to be good for you, but book says it is bad for TTC!

I know what you're all thinking, this mad woman isn't even TTC for another year & she's already buying books on the subject! Trust me, this pregnancy will be THE most organised one in history

bunnygirl80 · 12/03/2010 08:40

cavemum I predict you will get sucked in by spending too much time on here and you'll be off the pill and TTC within 3 months

There's alot of advice out there about what you should do/not do when TTC and if you follow all of it you'll never leave the house!! I think the majority of us have adopted an approach of being sensible about things like taking folic acid/not drinking too much, but if you give up everything you're supposed to life will be pretty boring

Ariesgirl · 12/03/2010 09:02

Here is a list of some of the more baffling I have read:
filter all water, including showering and bathing water (remember that one everyone?)
don't eat any dairy
eat lots of full fat dairy for the calcium
Don't cook in aluminium saucepans - buy glass ones
Don't store any food even in the freezer in plastic
Eat absolutely everything organic
Avoid microwaves
Don't go in the sea
Don't have a BMI of over 25
Don't have a BMI of less than 20
Neither of you must touch any alcohol or caffeine at all
You need supplements for every known mineral and vitamin and you need some Vitamin A but crucially not too much
You need Starflower oil or EPP to help produce lots of EWM but bear in mind it causes uterus contractions which will cause you to miscarry
You need to drink 18 gallons of water per hour, sorry that's 8 glasses per day
There are lots, lots more but you get the picture.

I am doing vitamin supplements, B6 to try and reduce premenstrual spotting which it is so far, Starflower oil (but that's mainly for boob pain and I stop during 2WW), Omega 3 supps and have cut down on alcohol and caffeine but not stopped altogether. Husband is on multi vit and mineral and the Omega 3 and has reduced booze. If you stopped your life whilst TTC you could have a very boring life for a very long time! And I'm actually trying to put on weight as I'm only 8 stone 10, which I hate. These are just a few tweaks as I am a bit concerned about my advancing years!

Ariesgirl · 12/03/2010 09:04

Oh and have just read your post zippys. Chin up chicken. Life sucks sometimes doesn't it? All the best for everything.

bunnygirl80 · 12/03/2010 09:10

aries I hope your omega 3 supps come from pollutant and mercury fish!

You forgot not using tampons as they restrict the natural flow of feminine energy!!

I have followed all of the things on your list - simulataneously eating lots of dairy and none at all was tricky, but it seems to have paid off in the end

Ariesgirl · 12/03/2010 09:15

Ah yes, forgot the tampons.

Actually (small voice) I have stopped using them. But it's not because of the natural energy, IT'S NOT . It's because they have chlorine and stuff in them and you don't want bits of them, you know, left!

Kaloki · 12/03/2010 09:28

felicity Aww thankyou! We're off to see CAB in a minute, hopefully we can get things sorted soon.

zippys Sorry to hear that I felt like that last month, couldn't face talking about it, it'll pass though.

ariesgirl That's a great list! Somehow I think I might ignore it, though it's touched a raw nerve, I'm overweight atm thanks to my damn back and not exercising. Let's hope that has no influence.

OP posts:
maamalady · 12/03/2010 09:41

Aww, zippys Looks like neither of us were lucky, eh?

Thanks for the new thread, Kaloki

Dinkytinky · 12/03/2010 09:55

sorry to hear of bfn zippys and evilgiraffe (?)I know it will happen for you, hughughughug, I'm really rooting for you.

that list looks evil to me! gah! so many rules :-(.
I asked my mum the other day if she did anything to help TTC (i'm one of 5 kids) and she just said 'oh we didn't have a telly love'!!!! ick! I forgot that mothers have the ability to make you horrible squemish with one sentence...
