Aww kkas it's a horrible feeling, but there's always next month. It'll happen eventually

Ariesgirl · 06/03/2010 12:15

Poor kkas. It's like Mother Nature flicking you the v's.

claireinthecommunity · 06/03/2010 14:46

Kkas, so sorry to hear of AFs arrival . Am liking the dress buying psychology and nice to hear your hubby is taking good care of you.

Seablue, sorry to hear of your AF. Rectal antibiotic - how could we/I forget that!, not very pleasant for you but hopefully it will rule certain things out. DH and I do keep strange hours, we put it down to being musicians and working into the early ours, I suppose we just stay in that late-to-bed routine even when we're not working.

Bunny, Zippy and Bellaby, dinner went very well thank you, I'm a bit of a traditional home cooking kinda gal, probably wouldn't cut it on something like come dine with me - not pretentious enough with my food Thanks for the 10 though Zippy, made me laugh

Bellaby, it was nice to have you to talk to late in the evening, but I'm pleased for you that you'll have hubby back at home so you won't need to feel frightened on your own again.

Hey Kaloki, wondered why we hadn't heard from you, glad you're settled in the new flat, hope you get something sorted soon re finances.

I was planning on ambushing DH last night/this morning, but I got so drunk last night it was the last thing on my mind and this morning, well, I had a terrible hangover and was still the last thing on my mind! It was my first drink since my birthday (beginning Jan) and it went straight to my head, I did over do it though Maybe I'll be up to it later

Calyx · 06/03/2010 15:51

On iPhone as pc has virtumonde virus (am trying to clean it ATM) and iPhone takes ages to load page so haven't read everything since last on.

Kaloki for you and DP, what are you going to do? I hope it works out quickly.

No AF yet but crampy and had very light pink CM just now so booooo hiss, we have money trouble too and have had some arguments about it (just stressing and snapping as car insurance etc not getting paid) so I suppose that's why I'm late by a few days. Will update list as soon as AF arrives properly.

Thanks for all the hugs, you are all lovely. Will catch up when I can but luck to you all xx

mumnerves · 06/03/2010 19:13

Evening all, hope everyone is having a good saturday

seablue sorry to hear about AF Sounds like it's hit you really badly, hope it's eased off a bit today.

Calligraphy thanks for the choc, it's most certainly my favourite drug I saw that in the news too about the expenses and children, I'm guessing they're extrapolated the figure to include inflation, so tell him in real terms it's probably only half the amount

kaloki Things sound awful for you atm My friend has ME and it's such a subjective disease, I don't see how he can be 'ill enough' ,surely it's up to a dr to diagnose that??! Big hugs anyway, I hope it gets sorted soon.

kkas poor you, our body plays such horrible tricks on us, it's just so unfair! Lucky you though to have such a nice DH and at least you'll look lovely in your new dress

claire hope you managed to ambush DH this afternoon/evening Sounds like you had a fab time last night, I think I need one of them soon!

Calyx a virtu what virus?? Sounds awful! Hope you manage to clean it and join us on pc soon. Hope AF stays away for you and you manage to sort your arguments with DP

Good luck to anyone testing this weekend!

bunnygirl80 · 06/03/2010 22:48

seablue I was distracted by your mention of the rectal antibiotic so I forgot to say that I'm sorry that AF arrived

claire too hungover for swi - that's the kind of behaviour I'd expect from DH's not from us!! Glad you had a good night though

kkas sorry AF got you. Have some chocolate and wine to cheer you up.

I went jogging yesterday and didn't bother with sunscreen because I normally sweat it all off anyway. Ended up with sunburn in the shape of my running to, which I was also wearing slightly wonky so don't even have a symmetrical red patch across my chest. Was rubbish at running too - had to stop as I felt really nauseous. I'd like to call it a symptom, but I think it's just a reflection of my lack of regular exercise recently

Will be awol for the start of the week again as am working again. I hope to come back to news of lots of BFPs

Look at that. The grads list is longer than the first list!

That's lovely of course it is.

seablue · 07/03/2010 13:05

Thanks so much for updating bunny. Sorry to leave it to you. Meant to do it myself on Friday. claire hope to hear reports of SWI ing today! Though sometimes it's really nice just to prioritise other things isn't it? Like getting over a hangover! As we can't try this month am intending to get totally wasted at every opportunity!

Sorry to hear your news kaloki. I had ME for over a year in my mid 20s and it's so hard to get anyone to understand. Couldn't get benefits but was v lucky to be able to live at home. There was a specialist centre a kings college London back then studying and treating ME. I wonder if your dh could get referred there and then he could be signed off officially? Or perhaps there's a centre nearer you. Worth researching as gps don't always know about them. Everyone is different but for what it's worth my gp said to me that ME is like being in a prison cell, but eventually the door does open. I couldn't believe him at the time but he was right. Really good luck.

kkkassorry to hear about af and that you're upset. Glad dh is being good. Hang in there. Look at Yorkshire! it will happen! Look after yourself today.

bellaby didn't realise there was a 7 dials in Brighton. Was talking about the one in Covent garden. Though am coming to Brighton on Friday to go to a gig, soaybe we'll see one another without knowing!

Right. On with Sunday.

haloflo · 07/03/2010 14:54

Well despite trying not to symptom spot I've definatly had the same lower back cramps I always get just before AF since Friday. I get them around the time I should ov & usually a day before AF comes so am intrigued by the early pain. Also have spent today trying to clean out the spare room (nesting?!) Only joking about the second symptom- the attempt to clear the room out happens once in a while anyway. Unfortunatly DP is watching the football & no help.
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday, especially those in the SWI stage!

Calyx · 07/03/2010 17:31

Hi all, just sneaking on while DH is off the computer putting the dinner on (roast chicken) to update the list as AF has arrived finally. Ho well here goes for cycle 10!

Evening All

Hermya - good to see you popping in. How's it going over on the Graduates Thread?

Kaloki - sorry to hear about the stress you are under. As Kkas said we are here if you need to let off steam.

Kkas - sorry to hear about AF. Hope DH is continuing spoil you. I will keep my fingers crossed for you for the next cycle! Shopping is definitely a good thing. I went yesterday with a friend - I am not a big shopper and usually slouch around in any old clothes but she persuaded me to buy lots of things -jeans, tops, skirt, shirt, jumper, shoes.... I figure that the longer it takes before BFP then the more use I will get out of the clothes (especially the jeans which are superskinny!). Perhaps I'll have to treat myself to something new at the start of each cycle.

Claire -hope the hangover has eased!

Calyx - good to hear from you. Thank goodness for the iPhone that allows you to keep in touch. Well done for managing to get a message on here using that - I seem to lose most of the ones I start writing so usually give up.

Bunny - poor you with the sunburn. Hope it isn't too sore today. Well done on the running though - braver than me as I never even get out of the front door. Hope work goes well.

seablue - LoL about 7dials! Hope you don't find yourself there on your trip to Brighton. I went to school near there when I was little.

haloflo - I know nothing about symptoms but I hope that I get the 'tidying up' one at some point as our house is a real mess!

mumsnerves - hello (didn't want to miss you out!)

Have I forgotten anyone?

There are 11 people on our list over 30 days - have we lost some people as not sure I've seen a lot of these post since I've been a part of this group? Hope our MIA doesn't get any bigger.

I'm about to tick into 30 days with absolutely nothing to report . But I am so enjoying being on here with everyone. My DH definitely thinks it is an addiction.

Have a lovely week xxx

kurlyvoice · 07/03/2010 18:44

Oh, bad luck calyx - have a nice glass of wine with your roast as a commiseration!

haloflo, are we wondering - maybe, possibly - about implantation here... Not that I am encouraging symptom spotting, of course [knowing-chuckle emoticon]

Sorry also for kkas [sends very lovely hug through webwaves] - rant to us whenever you want!

As for kaloki, ME is such a difficult illness to deal with and I know how worrying it is for friends/family of sufferers. I have seen several people seriously ill with ME come out the other side and, as seablue said, it's all about the support, so I do hope that there's something that your health trust can do for your DH. [more massive hugs]

Hello to everyone else and sorry for not keeping up with everything. I have made an appointment with the doctor for Tuesday afternoon to try and take sevans up on her advice and get my body up and running again. I just hope that he actually DOES something as otherwise he'll have a very cross CBL on his hands. Have to admit that I was rather hoping that making the appointment would kick-start the process but it seems not.

mumnerves · 07/03/2010 21:58

bunnygirl hope the sunburn doesn't hurt too much and goes away soon, well done you for going jogging anyway, I stopped doing that 10 years ago and can't pluck up the nerve to be seen around here in jogging gear The weather sounds lovely there atm, wish it were here!

Calyx sorry to hear AF got you

haloflo Don't beat yourself up too much about the symptom spotting, we all do it, at least you'll have a clean room to symptom spot in

Bellaby Hi and thanks for remembering me Nothing to report is a good thing perhaps as no AF means some hope?!

kurlyvoice hope everything goes ok at the drs

Well, not sure if I've ever mentioned it but Dh has been diagnosed previously with varicoceles. He's going to GP after next cycle if we haven't got our BFP to demand request a swimmers test. Went out yesterday to get some pregnacare conception vitamins his& hers as recommended by some mumnetters and they are £30 a box We've started taking them yesterday, at that price they'd better be worth it, it was just as well they were on 3 for 2!

Ariesgirl · 07/03/2010 22:56

Mumnerves, from what I've read there are things that can really benefit sperm motility which you can find much cheaper supplements and food. I think that the really important things are zinc, selenium and then things like omega 3 and 6. You can find all sorts of goodness in certain seeds like flax seeds, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. I may be missing a few so if anyone else knows more/better please shout

Hi there ladies,

Sorry not posted over the weekend but have been keeping up

Commiserations and lots of wine to all who's af has arrived- Calyx, kaloki ,mumnervesand Aries. Where is evilgiraffe? Any news your end?!

Sorry you had such a strange af claire- hope all has settled now.

Zippys- when will you get the result of your scan? I have been thinking of you this weekend as my dad has his scan booked in for Friday.

Bellaby- goodness me! That alarm incident sounds scary. When is your dh back?

Bunny hope work goes well this week. Sorry your removal men were not diet coke hunks! Have you found lots of stuff that you wonder why you brought all that way? I even brought clothes that didn't fit- god knows why! I think when you move half way across the world you get sentimental about the strangest things!

Hi to whiteroses and heryma if you pop over here. Hope all is going ok white and good luck at doc on tuesday heryma- popped over at the weekend to see how you were all doing on the graduates thread but don't like to post there as I feel strange!

Now some news for kurly and homebound(and everyone else of course!) I am VERY excited today as Fertility Friend has said that I ovulated on day 19. Yay!! If this is the case then I am on for a normal length cycle this month (cycle 3 off the pill). I know I've told you both before but first cycle off pill was 41 days, second was 57 and we'll see with this one but it is looking lots more promising (this is the first cycle that I have been charting temps and taking my millions of vitamins etc) and hopefully this will give you some hope that you WILL get back to normal? I hope the doctors goes well Kurly- I can't remember how long you have been off the pill?

Hope everyone has had a great weekend, hi to any lurkers and chalky where are you? we've not seen you in a while?

xxx

PS. I really want to put 'FelicityFlick is so thrilled that FF has said she's ovulated!' as my facebook status. Ha ha, can you imagine?!

kkas · 08/03/2010 09:01

felicityflick rofl - that would teach those smug pg fb status posters!

MrsWajs · 08/03/2010 10:41

Had in laws staying all weekend, so not been able to ov test......checked today and still negative, think I missed it on friday, saturday or sunday.

Grrrr

Fingers crossed there has been enough SWI'ing beforehand to catch an egg!!

MrsWajs · 08/03/2010 10:58

Oh and hi to calligraphy and seablue! Not sure what POAS is?? Been trying to figure it out but got no idea??

FelicityFlick · 08/03/2010 11:41

Pee on a stick! xx

maamalady · 08/03/2010 12:54

Hey Felicity, thanks for thinking of me! Still no AF here, I am going to test again with the CB digital on Wednesday if nothing has happened by then. If that's negative then I will assume I'm definitely not pregnant, and just on a long "coming off the pill" cycle.

Commiserations to all who have had AF arrive, and fingers crossed for all!

claireinthecommunity · 08/03/2010 14:06

Felicityflick, really hope your cycle is now back to 'normal' Imagine the looks of confusion on those reading your FB update that aren't or have never been TTC...

My hangover has passed it's really not like me, honest. Needless to say our shagging SWI hasn't gotten off the ground as I would of liked, bit of action this morning but I was a little distracted and we stopped We talked about it, not a huge problem, we'll try again later

Fingers crossed for evilgiraffe

Kaloki · 08/03/2010 17:18

That's random you are talking about 7 dials, I was living there up until December. Great place, too many hills though!

Didn't want to take over the thread with rants about what is going on, but it's all here if you want an update.

Far too stressed to even think of trying right now, especially as the stress has made my back and DP's ME worse. Although we've just had a friend over with her gorgeous little boy, so broody right now. Would be nice to have something good to lookforward to, though it'd be tainted by panic over money.

Hope you are all ok, I'm reading and thinking of you all, just don't want to get too involved while everything's still so up in the air.

Worried my cycle is getting more fucked up, was cramping yesterday! It was CD9! Got a doctors appointment on Thursday though, so fingers crossed, especially as the GP does homeopathy too - I find that encouraging, there's enough drugs in my system already!

Good to hear from you kaloki, and sorry to hear all about the system screwing your and your DP over. I'm totally clueless when it comes to things like that so all I can do is offer a hug and hope that the suggestions on your thread are useful. [squeeze] Don't worry about your cycle - it's bound to be affected by all the money anxieties and the cramping might not even have anything to do with it!

claire, glad that the hangover has passed and don't worry about the delayed start to this month's SWI sessions - you've got time!

Am crossing my fingers for you evilgiraffe - keep us posted! And mrswajs, have you checked for other, er, signs of ovulation??

felicity, you are giving me hope! I've surpassed the 60 day mark so that seemed to be the push to make an appointment (especially since my pill instructions say to contact a doctor if AF doesn't visit for more than 45 days when you are TAKING the damn thing!)

I'm with you on the ridiculous expense of vitamins, mumnerves, so Boots with its 3for2 offer is well timed! And you get the benefit of lots of advantage card points to spend on more vitamins... ariesgirl is absolutely right on getting the vitamins from cheaper sources which I might start looking into!

Hey Ladies,

Just a quick update, i havent been on for so long, busy with work and so on ... I noticed im on the MIA list sorry. I just wanted to let you know i got my BFP on 4th March !! So thank you to everyone who gave me advice whilst i was on here.

It took me 11 cycles to decide i would use a Clearblue Fertility Monitor. I dont think it was a coincidence that the first month i used it i got pregnant! So if any of you think its to soon to take action like that its not trust me! I wish i had done it a year ago.

Hop you all get your BFP's soon. x x x
