Evening Ladies

Welcome to MrsWajs Haloflo - I too am wishing away this year which is terrible. Not because of TTC but DH & I have potential move abroad on the horizon

Went for a drink with a work colleague this evening. He needed a vent so I was the patient ear. Bit of a pain as was really looking forward to a quiet night in front of the tv. Hope that doesn't sound too selfish.

Zippys - good luck. Sorry to hear you had such a long day - can certainly sympathise with you there!

Mumnerves -sorry to hear about AF. Special Hug for you. Hope you manage to figure out what is making you feel under the weather.

Claire - I wish you a very happy cycle of SWI and watching CSI

Kkas and Aries- I'm watching this space closely. Good for you both for holding out for the testing.

Calyx - know you've already had a lot of hugs but have one from me too

Afraid nothing exciting to report from me down there. Like you Kurlyvoice will continue to just SWithoutI and wait to see when/if AF shows for the first time. Do people get BFP before they have their first AF post-pill?

I know I've missed some people so sorry - often it's because you are using acronyms I still don't understand so just prefer to read and figure out what it means!

Sending everyone lots of hugs

Bellaby xxx

Bellaby · 04/03/2010 22:11

sevans - took me so long to write my message that our posts crossed. Thanks very much for sharing that. Think it's very likely the info about the pills will come in very handy for me.

claireinthecommunity · 04/03/2010 23:06

Mumsnerves, sorry to hear about the arrival of AF, hope you're enjoying the film.

Zippy, funnily enough, I bought a casual shirt which too has an empire line from the bust - just in case

And yes Bellaby, I am writing this whilst CSI is running in the background

I have a busy weekend with visitors and work coming up, hope you all have a good weekend - speak to you all soon, well, ykwim.

Bellaby · 04/03/2010 23:58

just have to get something that just happened off my chest...

was just settling down to sleep when the alarm went off. Made me jump out of my skin. Called DH on other side of the world and then went to check the control panel which said 2 alarms had gone off - the door downstairs and a sensor. At that point I was terrified and my legs started shaking.

Alarm company called and I then had to go downstairs to check. So had a phone on either ear and a knife in my hand... luckily turned out to be a false alarm.

Have reset the alarm and now back in bed with knife by my side. Still shaking. I'm such a wimp. Doubt I'll get much sleep tonight now.

Just hope it doesn't happen again. Might have to go and stay with my Mum tomorrow before DH gets back.

Claire - seems you and I have been on here at similar times this week!

claireinthecommunity · 05/03/2010 00:50

Hey Bellaby, what a horrible thing to happen Hope you are fast asleep and not still up reading this, but if you are, how are you feeling? I'll be up for a while if you need/want someone to talk to

Bellaby · 05/03/2010 01:11

still awake but feeling more relaxed now - thanks for asking. Luckily MN is a good distraction so hopefully I'll get to sleep soon.

Up for work in 4.5 hours - that'll be fun

claireinthecommunity · 05/03/2010 01:21

Good to hear you're feeling more relaxed, hope you manage to get some sleep x

bunnygirl80 · 05/03/2010 02:49

mumnerves sorry about AF

MrsWajs welcome, I've added you to the list

calyx sorry about the temp drop

bellaby how frightening for you to be on your own and have the alarm go off in the noght. I don't blame you for wanting to go and stay at your mum's till your DH gets back.

Had a very manic morning this morning. Our things were finally delivered. I was soooo hopeful that the removals guys would be topless hunks like in the DIet Coke ads but sadly it wasn't to be. They were slightly below average looking, and kept their tops on the whole time I just have to find enough cupboard space to put everything away now - it's a long task as am having to reorganise everything. Looks like my weekend plans have been made for me

Thanks bellaby & bunnygirl for your welcomes! Everyones so friendly here! Well I have finally finished my set of nightshift so can hopefully now frequent here at more reasonable times!! And crack on with the all important task of getting a bun in this oven!! Still waiting for a positive Ov test . . . bound to be soon!!??

Am still getting the hang of this so if anyone is welcoming me and I've missed it - Hi!

zippys · 05/03/2010 07:59

Please someone give me a big slap. Just tested as I said I would yesterday - bfn now sat here in tears because it wasn't bfp! Proberbly too early anyway so I don't know why I am so upset. Af due early next week and think it will arrive as scheduled.

Need to pull myself together and get ready for hospital appointment so will try to pop back in later.

MrsWajs · 05/03/2010 08:06

Awwww Zippys

No slap cus I'll probably do the very same in about 2 weeks time!

Good luck with your appointment.

Ariesgirl · 05/03/2010 08:15

Bellaby, hope you got some sleep. That is scary. I've been nervous about sleeping alone since a very scary incident with some burglars when I lived in the city. Sleeping doesn't come easy after that.

Here's some news. There's no need for me to POAS. Boo. That's the last time I time PMT, some middle ear virus crap and TTC at the same time. On the plus side it's a nice sunny day and I didn't have any spotting which is a good thing. Another weekend without OH looms.

kkas · 05/03/2010 12:09

aries sorry to hear that.

and zippys too - i know how you feel. i stupidly did a test this morning as well (i know i'm so weak!), and of course it was a BFN. i know it's probably too early, but i can't say for sure which day i ov, so i was thinking maybe i might just go for it anyway. now i just noticed some brown spotting so i think AF is on her way anyway, hope your hospital appointment goes well. keep us informed!

mumnerves · 05/03/2010 12:25

Aries sorry to hear about your news and your weekend alone, we should be all here to chat if that helps and at least you can have some wine!

Bellaby that sounds scary! At least you had an alarm, maybe it was just the wind or a fault (hopefully)

Zippys big hugs from me too, hope the appointment went alright, hope we hear some good news about it from you tonight

kkas sorry about the BFN and spotting

claireinthecommunity · 05/03/2010 16:33

Blimey, it took ages for MN to load for me today, checked other sites and they loaded straight away - DH thinks MN must have reached saturation point with all the press it's had lately!

Lots of commiserations to hand out

Kkas, sorry to hear of your spotting.

Zippy, sorry to hear of your BFN and you feeling really teary over it - all the best for the scan today.

And airies, sorry to hear about your news too.

Bellaby, hope you managed some sleep after all that last night.

We've got guests for dinner this evening, so I'll be wizzing round cleaning the place this afternoon and then making a start on dinner late afternoon/early evening - feels like I'm on come dine with me! (No cameras or sarcastic voice over man though - thank goodness)

Have a good weekend all, hope we get some good news from someone.

OK, now I can't post this, it keeps sending the preview to a blank page - I'll copy and paste it and try posting it later, very strange.

Just tried again with previewing my post and it managed it this time MN have now put a notice on the board saying that there is a problem with the site which they are trying to resolve.

Ariesgirl · 05/03/2010 16:43

Phew it's mended. Phew!

seablue · 05/03/2010 16:45

Hello crazy women.

Sorry about the AF, aries and mumsnerves. Mine came yesterday with a vengeance (was out of the office for lunch and thought I was just going to have to lie down on the ground or throw up it hurt so much! Then I got lost due to stumbling around in the haze of pain (Seven Dials always confuses the hell out of me).

Poor you bellaby - that sounds horrible. Fingers crossed kkas - the Fat Lady isn't singing yet. Yay for your stuff arriving bunnygirl - have a fun weekend playing.

zippys - it was good to test, just in case. But sorry you feel down about the BFN - you're probably worried about the hospital too - really hope the appointment goes well.

hello mrswajs - hope your POAS bears fruit soon!

So - I've just booked in for my HSG (where they inject dye into your tubes and uterus to see whether anything is blocked). For those of you with long memories, this involves the fabled rectal antibiotic on the morning of the procedure. yum.

Apparently it can really hurt. And what sucks even more is that they could only fit me in on Day 16 of my cycle, which means that we will have to take next month off TTC because you can't be pregnant when the test takes place because of the radiation (though, clearly, chance would be a fine thing!). Perhaps this is a good thing though? To be forced to take some time out?

Felt totally miserable yesterday when AF arrived, so perhaps a month off symptom spotting is no bad thing.

So - Friday week is the Day Of The Rectal Antibiotic. Woo hoo!

claire - earlier to bed for you tonight, young lady.

Have great weekends allx

Ariesgirl · 05/03/2010 17:11

Poor old seablue. Though I must be honest and say I'm more aghast at the idea of of a rectal antibiotic! It may not necessarily hurt - these things are different for different people, I believe.

zippys · 05/03/2010 17:25

Hi - v quick post as sneekily posting at work

Ballaby I hope you are ok after your fright last night, lets hope tnoght you get more sleep.

kkas sorry to hear about spotting - maybe it is implantation bleeding?

Mumsnerves and Aries sorry to hear about AF.

Claire hope you have a good evening (I am sure you get a 10 from me!!)

Seablue how could we forget the rectal antibiotic Hope it all goes ok for you, keep us updated.

Calligraphy thanks for the chocolate - i need it Hope that you manage to convince hubbie that babies dont really cost that much. Why are men always so practical?

Thanks everyone for your hugs and kind thoughts. CT went ok today but not sure when I get the results. Feeling a little more positive than this morning but thats not hard! Will come back tomorrow and catch up with everyone but just wanted to let you know how scan went.

bunnygirl80 · 05/03/2010 21:36

Aries sorry about AF - at least you can have a nice weekend feasting on wine, pate and rare steak

kkas sorry about the BFN and the spotting

zippys sorry about the BFN. Glad the scan went ok.

seablue I had forgotten about the rectal antibiotic! Hope the HSG goes OK though - I suppose if it helps you get pg then one teeny tiny rectal antibiotic will have been worth it....and I hope for your sake that it is teeny tiny

claire hope your evening goes well. I love come dine with me and it's prety much on a constant loop over here. They've just started showing come dine with me Australia but the sarcastic voiceover's just not the same as that's how they voiceover TV in general. Even news readers will make sarcastic comments about things

Looks like I missed MN being broken, although I often find the site is down for maintenance. Surely they should realise that just because it's the middle of the night in the UK that there are poeple elsewhere in the world who urgently need to report the consistency of their CM

Have just had a very enjoyable morning latte made in my espresso machine - I'm such a coffee snob I've really missed being able to make proper stuff with frothy milk.

Looks like I'll be spending the rest of my weekend unpacking boxes and wondering why on earth I thought I needed half of the stuff we brought. DH is happy though as his favourite stick has arrived - it's a carved walking stick thingy he bought on holiday years ago and he loves walking around the house with it. Every time there were adverts on TV last night he went for a walk around the lounge with the stick If he does it again today he may find the stick mysteriously diappears. That said he doesn't know i've brought my entire soft toy collection as I couldn't bear to leave them in case they thought I didn't love them

Evening Ladies

Oh dear not a good news day - big hugs to Aries, Zippys and Kkas & SeaBlue Seablue -are you talking about Brighton when you mention 7 dials?

Claire - I hope that your dinner guests were suitably impressed! Afraid I won't be keeping you company into the early hours of the morning next week when DH is back. Will be back to my usual early bedtime of 9:30

Bunny - good luck with the unpacking. LoL at DH's stick - nice to see he is easily pleased! And cuddly toys are great - you can never have enough!

Calligraphy - good luck with the DH persuasion. What about the Economies of scale arguement - the more you have the cheaper each one becomes? Or if you like shopping tell him you will buy less shoes/handbags/clothes which will more than cover the cost. I always remember my Dad telling me how much he thought it cost to have all of us - it wasn't that high a number but I was still shocked. Would think it would be at least 100k!

I'm home again typing this in bed. After eventually getting just 2.5 hours sleep last night I know I should be exhausted but I'm not falling asleep yet. Hopefully will be a nice quiet night. At least tomorrow I can have a long lie in without any interuptions. Figure that sleep deprivation is probably good practice for somepoint in the future anyway

Wishing everyone a great weekend

Bellaby xxx

Hermya321 · 06/03/2010 07:20

Bellaby Oh gosh that sounds well scary, I hope you're alright now!

Bunny Good luck with the unpacking.

Kaloki · 06/03/2010 11:12

Hey everyone, not been able to get online for a while. Still no internet so having to use my mobile (which cut me off due to "fair use").

It's been an interesting few weeks, the new flat is lovely and we've settled in fantastically. But we've been cut off income support (DP has ME amongst other things) as they've decided DP isn't ill enough. And because our income is tied they've cut us both off. So new flat, but no income. Not great circumstances for TTC!

kkas · 06/03/2010 12:02

hi kaloki glad to hear move went well but sorry about your other news. that must be quite stressful! let us know if you need to rant!

despite me trying to convince myself yesterday that spotting may be implantation, i was sorely disappointed when AF arrived with a vengeance this morning. massive cramps and very heavy. if i ov when i thought i did, that means my lp was down to 10 days again, which is starting to worry me

also broke down in front of DH, who is now being very nice and making lots of tea and doing all the chores. but still feeling pretty sad today. i was so sure this was our month..... oh well. i just went out and bought myself a new dress for spring/summer that will not work as a maternity dress. maybe that will help for this month. anyway..... roll on to SWI stage......

thought i would update the list, seeing as i haven't for awhile!
