Morning all!

Worrisome Oh I'm sorry that you're feeling a bit down. It's normal though especially when you're TTC and somebody, even your best friend or sister gets pg, that you feel a little bit down. Theres always the thought of 'why not me?' Don't be too hard on yourself, just allow yourself to be a bit blue and don't beat yourself up about it. I do hope your clinic appointment proves positive and you never know a BFP may occur beforehand.

Bunny I like your take on things, fingers crossed for a BFP for you this month!!

zippys · 22/01/2010 08:30

Morning eveyone,

Thanks for the lovely new thread Bunny, with starting a new thread and this been cycle 3 for you it has to be the month (keeping fingers crossed!)

Claire I too am more open on this thread than anywhere else, it feels so comfortable here its hard not to I know what you mean about getting your hopes up. However I hope you are still boob jiggling with the rest of us

Pixie I can understand you paying for an early scan, if I ever fall pregnant I think I will go for a scan early too, just for that peace of mind.

Hermya - you can never have TMI on this thread Your DH sounds really sweet, lets hope you get spoilt rotten when you are pregnant too. I also love the idea of BD'ing until the cows come home - lol

White lets hope your next midwife is a lot nicer and will let you have an early scan on the NHS. When you are consultant led do you have more appointment through the pregnancy as I think if I ever get pregnant I too will be consultant led.

Pidgin - the 2ww is horrible isnt it?, every symptom you think could just be pregnancy related!

Worrisome - dont feel guilty about your sister we all do it. I find it quite weird though if someone in rl gets pregnant or tells me they fell after 1 or 2 months I am really jealous, however when someone on this thread gets a bfp I am so pleased for them ( with a tiny bit of jealousy) I suppose its because I know how hard it has been for all of you too. What day are you back at the clinic next week?

Ceebs05 not that I am obsessed or anything but TEST TEST TEST TEST - (Sorry POAS obsession came out - just fulfilling the crazy baby lady title). Cramps dont always mean AF is on its way!

Mumnerves sounds liike you have timed your bd'ing well - fingers crossed for you.

Well I am off to the doctors today so should get results from blood test but the doctor didnt think it would show anything, I think it will be up to me how far I want to go with exploring the cause. When I think about it on an evening I think I am fine, it isnt too bad when investigate. But then on a morning when I am being sick, gagging, driving to work with the window open, and ruining my makeup from my eyes watering when gagging makes me think I need an answer!!

Well DP wasnt away last night so we ahem ... did the deed! I think I ovulated on Tuesday (the days of tears) but due to long cycles before I think we will try to continue with every other day until middle of next week.

mumnerves · 22/01/2010 09:51

Hello fellow TTC #1s!!

Thanks for the new thread bunnygirl80 zippys hope you get on ok at the drs and have fun bd-ing, keeping fingers crossed for you as well, at least we'll suffer go through the 2ww together

WhiteRoses · 22/01/2010 11:10

Zippys - no idea whether I'll have more appointments or not... Would have been nice if my midwife had given me a bit more information, but, as it was, I had to drag everything out of her. I asked about extra scans and she said I'd get one between 11 and 12 weeks, didn't know if my hospital would do one at 20wks, but, because of my medical condition (not sure if it's standard for all medical conditions or not) I'd get an extra one at 34wks. When I phoned the hospital, they told me they do one between 12-13wks and one at 20wks as standard. Didn't ask them about the 34wk one cause I thought they probably wouldn't know that, without seeing my reccords first. Anyway. She was so useless that I'd take everything she had to say with a pinch of salt anyway. Hopefully I'll know more after next time.

I would REALLY want to have that sickness investigated for as long as it takes, Zippy. It's just not on at all. How many months have you had it now?

claireinthecommunity · 22/01/2010 11:52

Ooh, a new thread! Good work bunny Liking your theory.

Morning all

Zippy, yes, I am boob jiggling, on nipple watch and aware of every little twinge It all seems the same as previous months though, so not sure what to think about that. Really trying not to get all excited at the possibility of a bfp - difficult though isn't it?!! And I agree with WhiteRoses, I would want the sickness investigated too.

Don't worry about asking when I will be testing WhiteRoses, I always have a set time in mind if AF is a no show, I didn't take it as encouragement - That would be zippys TEST TEST TEST TEST to ceebs (sorry zip! )

I too will be consultant led if/when I get my BFP. I'll need to be monitored more closely due to the meds I'm on and obviously for the condition I'm taking them for. Means more appointments but I'm glad that I'll have a specialist to my particular illness, I find GPs et al just don't cut it.

seablue · 22/01/2010 13:55

Good afternoon ladies.

Just catching up! I too am sorry about your midwife, whiteroses. My friend had just the same - it's a bit deflating I imagine. but then I know some lovely people who've gone into obgyn and midwifery, so hopefully your next one will be an angel.

Not quite in my boob jiggling phase yet, but like to think of claire going there before me!

Got my smiley face yesterday - BDd on Monday, Wednesday and last night. And perhaps tonight? Last night's a bit of a struggle for DH (spirit willing...) so if I don't get ovulation pain today, perhaps we could postpone until tomorrow morning. Aaaagh feels as if you need to both work part time to be in any state to ttc! But I think that's only being on cycle #10 talking...

Thanks for the new thread bunnygirl80

Hermya321 · 22/01/2010 15:40

Afternoon Ladies!! Well I spent the afternoon with some firefighters, now before you get all a quiver and start swooning let me assure you that they were very dissapointing. Not a Firefightery hunk of the month in sight. Standards are slipping thats all I can say.

I think on a thread where you talk all about the intimate goings on of your nether regions and when you and DP/DH are baby dancing, it's hard not to be more open with people. I mean lets face it, how much more open can you get talking about your CM.

Claire Boob watch day seven continues.

Zippys I think the fact that I finally cracked on having a kid has made him VERY excited. He's been talking about children for years and now he's one step closer to being a Dad. He is very very sweet to me generally in any case and I consider myself quite lucky. I've seen a lot of peoples marriages go pear shaped in the past year or so and it makes me appreciate him that much more. Not in a smug way, I'm not trying to be like that. If anything it makes me work harder with him as I don't want to be another statistic. Sorry I digress.

How did the Doctors go?

Mumsnerves Fingers, toes, legs (at times) and arms crossed for you this month. How you coping during the 2WW?

Seablue How nice would it be to just be able to take TTC leave from work, I would love that.

Bunny thanks for a new thread, sorry I didn't say so this morning.

zippys · 22/01/2010 17:50

Hi crazy ladies

just a quick update from my phone. Been to docs, blood results are normal. He has no idea what it is, he is going to refer me to see a consultant who may have a better idea, but he is going to call me after talking to the consultant. He did mention if af was late to do a test - he obviously doesn't realise how much of a poas addict I am, of course if I am late I will test

Will catch properly tomorrow. Hope you all enjoy your Friday night.

claireinthecommunity · 22/01/2010 18:12

Zippy, good to hear your bloods came back normal, let's hope this consultant can give you some answers. Lol at "...of course if I am late I will test ..." (little does he know )

What I want to know Hermya, is what exactly were you doing with these firefighters all afternoon?

Boob watch in full swing, I even felt a little queezy (sp?) earlier!!

You'll be on boob watch soon seablue Sounds as though you and DH are doing your best

DrewsGirl · 22/01/2010 18:29

Bunny - Thanks for the new thread, it was getting hard work on the other one, i kept forgetting what page i last wrote on! This will be easier

Hermya - Your hubby sounds amazing, i know what you mean about appreciating him. A few people we know have split up recently or are having a bad time and it makes me want to put more effort in to make us last

2ww for me now and both me and DH have been symptom spotting, the light 1 1/2 day period (implantation) the smiley (you can get a smiley on CB ov sticks if you are already preggers) so we tested last night even though my ov sticks said i only ovd on Wednesday. He was so excited about testing and it was BFP obviously but hopefully we caught it this month, i am feeling a bit 'over the hill' with this TTC now. Quite a few people i know in RL are pregnant. Im on cycle 10 and only like 15% of people take a year to catch.

DrewsGirl · 22/01/2010 18:32

Claire - I dont think my boobs change at all during my cycle normally? What happens to them?

I dont think i would talk about boob watch in RL but Egg White Cervical Mucus is worse! I still havent got over that you know!

DrewsGirl · 22/01/2010 18:33
      • I meant BFN i just reread my last post!!! Sorry typo (well i can only hope)
claireinthecommunity · 22/01/2010 19:14

Hi DrewsGirl, well, my boobs get heavier, feel and look bigger and my nipples are tingly during my fertile time, these are also some of the early PG symptoms you can get, more noticeable blue veins on breasts are also a possible symptom. Of course, you may or not get these symptoms and they can also be a sign of AF !! Mother nature doesn't make it easy for us does she

kkas · 22/01/2010 19:40

sorry - a bit slow to catch on today..... thanks for the new thread bunny i do think this is your lucky month!

Lipstie · 22/01/2010 19:44

Hi Claireinthecommunity, after reading your post had my head down my top looking at my boobs to see whether I can add blue veins into my list of symptom spotting! lol

I wish Mother Nature had been a sweeter person to us ladies over one thing, surely she could have given us a sure sign rather than all of the ones that could also be AF??

Kaloki · 22/01/2010 19:44

Ooh shiny new thread!

As I said on the last thread, anyone want to take bets on my cycle length this month? Last month was 36, month before was 19, in theory my period is due tomorrow but we shall see.. There's no chance I'm pregnant this month, so if it is late it'll be my body screwing up.

Hermya321 · 22/01/2010 19:56

Drewsgirl Sorry on your BFN, but heres hoping that the 2WW will go really quickly and you'll get a BFP!

Zippys I'm glad your bloods came back normal and that you've been referred to a consultant. At least you're getting somewhere.

Claire This afternoon I watched a lot of power point presentations on various fire related things. Why, what do you think I would have been doing with a room full of firemen on a dull boring afternoon.

Lisptie Claire's post had my head down my top as well. LOL

I think I'm officially on boob watch now as well.

CurlyCasper · 22/01/2010 19:58

quick hello! to mark my place. hope you're all ok.

Hermya321 · 22/01/2010 19:59

Drewsgirl I'm sorry that you're having trouble coping with the idea of EWCM. Have yourself a cup of tea and some chocolate and try and forget that the whole conversation ever happened.

Calyx · 22/01/2010 20:37

Thanks for the nooooo thread bunnygirl

Still spotting and temps up and down, I think I'm 'fighting off an infection' as everyone around me has a throaty thing at the moment, hopefully ov is just delayed and not not happening this cycle!

Hello to everyone and I hope I'm forgiven for not posting more regularly, I am reading through and sending everyone lovely karma

WorrisomeHeart · 22/01/2010 20:39

Hi folks, fab new thread!

Thanks for your lovely cheering up hermya and zippys. Am feeling a bit at my meltdown last night, but have spent this evening full on sobbing to Brothers and Sisters so I'm guessing it's all down to AF nearing. (BTW does anyone else watch that show and how heartbreaking was the second episode?!)
zippys it's our first appt next Friday so am fairly freaked. But will try and stay positive and know that I can come back and collapse on you all if it's not great news. Sorry to hear your sickness continue, that's got to be pretty gruesome. Let's hope that the docs have an answer soon.

hermya am very very at you spending the afternoon with firefighters!!

will post more later as phone has rung and DH has just come home with dinner...

ceebs05 · 22/01/2010 20:40

Hi folks,

Have not managed to read through all posts since I was last on....

So it turns it out wasn't a bug, or bad takeaway and my boobs really were that sore and the cramps were not pre-menstrual coz I just got a BFP!!!

Despite symptoms had done a good job of convincing myself AF was on the way and just POAS so I could have a guilt free glass of wine!

Just feel totally shocked and am saving up my wee so I can do another test!!! Doesn't feel real in the slightest.

Calyx · 22/01/2010 20:46

OMG Ceebs CONGRATULATIONS! That's brilliant lovely start to the weekend! Lots of luck!
