Hermya321 · 22/01/2010 20:52

OMG Ceebs CONGRATULATIONS that is FANTASTIC!!!!!! Another BFP for the thread, my word!

Worrisome You're welcome, I'm glad I made you feel better. I wish I could say I deserved your envy.

I have heard of Brothers and Sisters, but I can't say I've watched it.

Calyx You're forgiven

WorrisomeHeart · 22/01/2010 21:19

Right, dinner done! Can get back to the crazy baby ladies!

Ceebs - brilliant news!! And another stat for bunny's 1,3, cycle theory!!! (BTW, as I am on cycle 9 I am obviously trying to discredit....)

lipstie lol at you peering down your top! My DH keeps saying why can't we ladies have a simple light system - green for a positive, red for a negative etc.. it would definitely take the guesswork out!

Kaloki welcome back - how did the move go? My cycle length bet is 28! A nice regular cycle that will stay like that for now on!

Have a great weekend everyone!

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 22/01/2010 21:36

Wow Ceebs that's fantastics news! Hoorah!

pixiestix · 22/01/2010 21:52

Yay Ceebs!!!!!! Lovely news!! And a BFP on day one of the new thread - we are ON FIRE right now!!!!

And a big hello to the rest of you lovely boob-watchers!!

claireinthecommunity · 22/01/2010 22:36

Wow another BFP!!! Congratulations ceebs (I'm sat on the sofa with my DH and I jumped up and let out a little shriek when I read your post - he thought I'd seen a big spider or something )

This is a fab start to the new thread

I'm lol with all the boob watching I've started

Wonderful to have you back Kaloki, it sounds like you've had a bed time of it lately, now you can put it all behind you and join us in the new thread My guess on your cycle length is 30 - do we get a prize if we guess correctly?

No I've never seen Brothers and Sisters Worrisome, have seen a couple of trailers for it though and it always seems to be rather emotional!

I could think of one or two things Hermya!

Kaloki · 22/01/2010 23:16

Congrats Ceebs!!! Worrisme it's a long story, but the simple answer is no, it went very badly and I'm actually moving our furniture into storage this weekend.

Claire you can win a lol

sevans · 22/01/2010 23:17

Yay for a new thread! Now I no longer have to see my BFP every time I open the thread since it was on the first post of the last thread.

I've been away for a while and trying to catch back up. I am feeling a lot better now that it is over two weeks since the surgery. My blood count is still pretty low but it is slowly picking up. It will take a 6-8 weeks to get to normal. My hcg level was tested yesterday and it is finally about normal (meaning not pregnant). After my blood count gets back to normal we can try again. So that means we still have a while to go but honestly I am in no rush. I can't even bring myself to do the deed yet because I am scared that it may hurt. I don't think I mentioned this in my last post but the doctor said I should probably have my tubes tested before trying again. The ectopic pregnancy probably made my right tube less than ideal and there was a big clot over by my left tube and apparently the body's way of fighting against that is by producing scar tissue so my left tube is probably less than ideal as well. And the doctor said my tubes weren't great to begin with which is what probably caused the ectopic. So, there is a chance that we will have to do IVF. I am not that bothered because then I will be monitored more closely and hopefully the chance of another ectopic will be significantly less if there is no passing through the tube.

Anyway, sorry to make this post all about me but I just wanted to give you all an update. Hopefully I can be back on the list soon.

xoxo

claireinthecommunity · 22/01/2010 23:37

Wonderful to hear from you Sevans, thankyou so much for updating us on your progress, you've been in mine and I'm sure the others thoughts. Pleased to hear you are feeling a lot better and hope that you make a full recovery soon.

What you said about the possibility of the need for IVF and not being too bothered about it because it would mean you would be monitored more closely, struck a chord with me. I'm on medication for an on going problem/illness (and will be for the rest of my life I feel) meaning that any PGs will be heavily monitored with consultants. This actually gives me confidence that if there are any problems it will be picked up on quickly.

Best wishes for a fast recovery, take care of yourself and we'll see you soon x x

claireinthecommunity · 22/01/2010 23:41

Kaloki, I think a is genius for a prize (hope I win now!)

bunnygirl80 · 23/01/2010 04:35

ceebs congratulations!

If we keep going at this rate we'll all have BFPs before this thread is full

Kaloki I want the chance to win a too - my guess is 33

sevans glad to here you're starting to recover.

whiteroses it's not too nosy to ask what I do! I'm orthodontist, although obviously I'm not working for the NHS anymore.

Well it's 40 degrees here today. It's really windy, but unfortunately the winds coming straight off the outback so it just makes everything even hotter. I'm sitting under the aircon wondering if it will ever be cool enough to go outside!

OP posts:
Hermya321 · 23/01/2010 08:56

Sevans Oh I am sorry to hear about your ectopic pg. I'm glad your starting to recover now as well.

Kaloki I hope you're ok and that you get things sorted soon.

Morning all! I hope you're all having a good day whatever your doing.

ceebs05 · 23/01/2010 09:39

Thanks for the congrats everyone - am excited and nervous all at the same time. Hopefully it will set the tone for lots more BFPs for the crazy baby ladies!

Sevans - sorry to hear about what you've had to go through. Glad you are starting to feel better.

claireinthecommunity · 23/01/2010 11:44

Bunny, I've been reading in the news lately about the temperatures in Oz at the moment Good job you've got aircon!

Hermya, just re-read your post and I'm sorry to hear things are still not sorted with you, having to put your furniture in storage must be a real upheaval.

Ceebs, let's hope so

claireinthecommunity · 23/01/2010 11:56

Thought I'd update the list, hope I've managed it ok. Still no news from Sparkly about her faint line back on the old thread?

Kaloki · 23/01/2010 14:48

Haha, well done Claire! Well I'm cramping right now, so here's hoping AF appears today, now that's something you wont read often on this thread!

maamalady · 23/01/2010 15:24

Ooo, a shiny new thread!

Status quo remains here, but I am starting to get twitchy about cycle length - I have no idea when I ought to expect AF to turn up, so am playing the waiting game! If it's short then I could test this week if no show, but equally it could be much longer! I think I'm planning to force myself to expect it to be 30+ days, and then test on Sat 6th Feb if no AF before then. I know I couldn't do a test on a weekday as I'd be useless at work!

Congratulations on your BFP, ceebs! Kaloki - my bet on your cycle length is 28 (being very conventional and going with the "average"!), I quite fancy a few of these...

maamalady · 23/01/2010 15:26

Heh, I have just realised that Kaloki said on the post before mine that AF is on the way - I promise I didn't see that before putting in my bet!

pixiestix · 23/01/2010 15:56

Kaloki - I'll go with 29. I could do with a cup of tea and a . Sorry the move was crap, but its lovely to have you back!!

Claire - step away from the list!! How is boob watch? What day are you thinking to test on? We really need a fingers crossed emoticon!!

Sevans - I'm glad to hear your body is getting back to normal. It hadn't occurred to me that your BFP was on page one, that must have been so upsetting. I wish I had realised - I could have asked mumsnet to delete that page. Are they going to do ongoing tests on your fallopian tubes to give you an idea of how they are faring?

Misshoohaa - sorry that AF got you, some of your symptoms sounded really positive Chocolate and wine is always the answer on CD1.

Well, Im still having symptoms that I would usually associate with AF so its no wonder we all get so confused! My skin is absolutely awful, my mood swings are raging big time, and Im getting a definite increase in CM But in addition to that Im boiling hot most of the time, and getting all kinds of strange stretchy pains in my abdomen, which is definitely not normal for me. I feel very fragile!!! But I have got past the day that AF would have been due and that is making me ! Monday is the next stepping stone - that would make it my longest cycle ever, so another little milestone to cross off the list.

Kaloki · 23/01/2010 16:00

Pixiestix I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Still no AF, I reckon it'll show up n the long drive tomorrow, or even better, once we are in the middle of packing the removals van

sevans · 23/01/2010 17:03

Thanks girls. I am going to a new doctor once we are ready to try again. The last one didn't work out too well. It turned out there was a big misunderstanding. I think I told you all that my doctor wanted me to see another doctor after my hcg levels went up instead of down. She told the second doctor that she saw the sac on her ultrasound. So that is the reason why the second doctor ruled out an ectopic. Obviously the first doctor didn't see a sac and if she would have communicated any uncertainty about seeing the sac the second doctor would have done the D&C and laparascopy that first week I saw him instead of letting it drag out for almost five weeks. I remember when the first doctor did the ultrasound she didn't seem so confident that what she saw was a sac so I wish she could have communicated that to the second doctor. Oh well. What is done is done.

To answer your question pixie, I'm sure my new doctor will run tests on my tubes before jumping to IVF. And even if I don't have to do IVF, I'm sure I will still be monitored closely because the chance of another ectopic is significant for me since I already had one. We will just have to see what happens when that time comes...

I can't believe how many BFPs there have been this month and last. That is so terrific!! Keep them coming!!

sevans · 23/01/2010 17:09

Oh, one more thing...I think I will put myself back on the list. I have no idea where I am in my cycle so I will just add name to bottom. I want to feel included, ha!

Also, there are so many new people. I never had an opportunity to welcome them since I have been off mumsnet for quite some time. Welcome!
