I'm actually happy Claire, I knew it wouldn't be a BFP this month (been too stressed for sex) so I'm relieved it wasn't so late this time.

Will keep my fingers crossed for you

claireinthecommunity · 27/01/2010 15:41

That's a good outlook Kaloki, now you can focus on this month - good luck

And thankyou

Calyx · 27/01/2010 18:39

Hello all and welcome to the new people, this is the PLACE to BE if you're TTC!!! (No 1) LOL

Really no news from me either. CD21 and from my temps this month I really don't think I ov'd at all, plus with the two or three days of spotting (well pinkish CM really) I do think it was probably anovulatory. However the temps are creeping up by 0.1C daily so maybe I did? Or does it go up before AF regardless? Dunno!

Kaloki it's cool your cycles may be getting down to a reasonable length, who won the

Claire I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed and my eyes on you too

chalky3 · 27/01/2010 19:06

Chance, we didn't go anywhere hot but we had a nice holiday anyway.

Hermya, don't you just hate how TTC makes you notice all the little 'twinges' your body has far more than ever before? Hope you're feeling ok.

zippys, hope everything goes ok at the docs tomorrow, hopefully you'll find out what's been going on and start feeling better soon. Keep us posted.

worriesome, love SuperCrazyBabyLady! We could all form a team, that would be a force to be reckoned with!
I had never thought about the link between mild cystitis and EWCM. Been thinking I had cystitis for the past couple of days and today had EWCM. At least now I may see the burning feeling as more of a warm pre baby-making glow, thankyou!

Sorry AF got you, kaloki. evilgiraffe, I have only seen the first twilight film so far, though I do have some totally obsessed friends who are far too old to pass it off as a teenage thing!

Welcome lucieloo! seablue, love the mad symptom spotting, wouldn't it be great if colds really did signify pregnancy? Good luck with the tests on Friday, I hope they put your mind at rest.

claire, I hope the cramping reveals it's cause soon, in the form of a BFP, fingers crossed!

Not much to report except the appearance of EWCM today. I didn't say anything to DH as we don't want sex to be all about TTC but earlier he asked 'isn't it baby making week?' It's lovely that he has been paying attention enough to have figured that out. Pre season friendlies are over, it's time for the tournament to begin!

mumnerves · 27/01/2010 19:20

Lucieloo Welcome!!

Chalky have fun bd-ing

seablue hope you feel better soon!

I felt a bit sick first thing in the morning and in the afternoon when I smelt a smelly person pass me. I'm only 8 dpo so I know the symptom spotting is starting Can someone please slap me and tell me it's too early and to stop driving myself crazy! Please!

Kaloki · 27/01/2010 19:21

calyx Bunnygirl won it

Hermya321 · 27/01/2010 19:35

Evening all!! Hope you are all well. I'm am knackered! My brain feels like its been grated, and not in a good way.

I'm still getting twinges although they're now moving more to the centre now . My right side now feels sharp and pokey. My body is a weird thing. I've done the OV tests and have been doing them at night (because carrying one of those around at work wouldn't be the best of ideas) and they've all been negative so far. I've heard they're a bit unreliable. Could I have missed the surge?

Giraffe A twilight obsession is nothing to be ashamed of. Celebrate your addiction and watch Twilight the Movie with some chocolate!

Claire I have my fingers crossed for you!!

Zippys Yeah they're much better today, still feel a bit sicky and am going off my food a little. I had the most beautiful hot chocolate this afternoon at a little tea room out in the sticks with some of my course mates, it had sprinkles and everything. I was walking back to get into the car when suddenly my tummy turned over and I had the thought 'oh dear'. Luckily the feeling passed and I was able to carry on. It's so strange, I never get sicky like this. I even had trouble facing my brekkie this morning.

Kaloki Sorry about AF's arrival.

Chalky I know, I lived in blissful ignorance before this point. I just let my body get on with it and stayed non the wiser. Your hubby is lovely that he's keeping track of things like that. Mines been just taking my lead on things at the moment.

So how has everybody elses day gone?

Hermya321 · 27/01/2010 19:42

Mumnerves I'd put those ones down to stress and someone with little to no knowledge of deoderant. Did that help?

Welcome lucieloo

Also chalky good lick with BD tonight!!

chancewouldbeafinething · 27/01/2010 20:05

Apologies but here comes a self obsessed rant.. ..I am starting to worry because either I am going to turn into the side of a house (I am eating so much!) or i have a appetite for 2. I know which i would prefer it to be.
But if AF arrives this month I am going to have to go on a serious diet because i have the urge to eat like its xmas day everyday.

on a non self absorbed note - i have a feeling we are going to have some BFP this weekend (maybe i am just hoping)

Hope everyone had a good day and Hi lucieloo

Hermya321 · 27/01/2010 20:16

Chance That would be brill for you to have a BFP this weekend!! I'll be watching this space!!

mumnerves · 27/01/2010 20:19

Hermya : Thanks! That did a bit!

chance am really keeping fingers crossed for you for a BFP this weekend!

bunnygirl80 · 27/01/2010 20:59

kaloki sorry AF got you. I have to say though that I was slightly proud of winning the - I think I need to get out more!

welcome lucieloo calyx I'm pretty sure your temp only rises if you've ov'd (well according to fertility friend anyway), and a sustained rise of 0.1 degrees a day over a few days is apparantly quite a common appearance after ov. My chart looked like that last month, and was couple with very late ov. So maybe you still have hope this month....

I got some EWCM this morning so will have to jump DH when he gets home tonight - Andy Murray's playing again this evening and tennis is my most favourite sport so I hope he wins qucikly so I don't have to miss any of the match for baby making purposes

It looks like I'll actually ov at a normal point in my cycle this month, rather than when most people are three quarters of the way through the 2ww! I'm hoping that this will increase the chabces of a BFP for me

I've attempted to tidy up the list a bit, as it seems the people on day 100+ have gone awol - perhaps they got BFPs months ago and forgot to tell us. I haven't removed them completely though just in caset they're lurking.

kaloki I've moved you to the back as well - hope you don't mind

Sorry to hear AF has arrived kaloki, but if you know this month was going to be a non starter I agree its best to get AF over quickly so you can get on with the next cycle.

Thanks for sorting out the list bunny. As there are so many of us, it does seem a bit of an extra chore to be counting cycle days for those missing in action.

I've had a funny cramping pain all evening which I am hoping might be implantation, but suspect its probably pre AF cramping (I recall getting similarly excited last month). I don't expect anything to come of it, but I can't help hoping.

Good luck to all those coming up to testing (still got everything crossed Clare I really hope your promising signs deliver a positive).

Baby dust to all...

Hi Everyone, This is my most favourite thread on MN and I've read a fair few in all of my lurking!

Can I join you please? You all seem to be so friendly and welcoming that I hope you won't mind another first time frolicker?

Thanks,

FF

Hermya321 · 28/01/2010 07:25

Morning all!!!

Ooo Yorkshire you never know, lets hope it isn't AF preparing for a visit.

Felicityflick Welcome to the thread!!!

Bunny thank you for tidying up the thread.

capricorn76 · 28/01/2010 10:12

Hi guys,

It's Supercrazybabylady here!

Thanks for the encouraging messages, Hermya, Bunnygirl, Claireinthecommunity, Chancewouldbeafinething and WorrisomeHeart.

Re- Arch Nemesis. Rant alert! She isn't really but she just winds me up. She's my DH friends wife. Everything she does is better than everyone else. She said her relationship is stronger than mine because my DH and I sometimes argue and they never do. She implied that she's smarter than me because I had to study harder to get my 2.1. She said she found it easy. She says she lives in a much better area than me. I even overheard her asking her DH if she could leave my birthday party to go home and get her iPod because her music was better than mine! etc etc. Now she's pregnant I know she's thinking that this is another thing she is better at than me so I'm avoiding her and I've hidden her on Facebook as every week there's a new picture of her scans or expanding stomach with her smug smile. Rant over!

Fingers crossed for you Claireinthecommunity

I'm due on tomorrow, my breasts have swelled and are a bit sore and sometimes I get pains in my left leg so nothing exciting. I'm expecting to see AF tomorrow as I don't feel any different.

Good luck everyone else!

seablue · 28/01/2010 11:03

Morning all!
capricorn76 - I have never seen a better description of a Toxic Friend. Normally swift and brutal surgical excision is the only way, but if she's the wife of a good friend of your DH, that sucks. Does your DH find her unbearable too?

hermya - do you use the ClearBlue digital OPKs? They're pricey (cheaper on Amazon than in chemists though) but they do seem to be more reliable. Next month we're trying the "every other day and to hell with peeing on a stick" approach - you could do the same now and try to escape some of the babyladycraziness? That way you sort of know you're covered...

We got our results from the GP last night and everything is normal - DH and me. Even progesterone. So why do I get spotting from CD20/21? And why's it taking so long? GP gave me norethisterone (synthetic progestogen) to take in case the pre-menstrual bleeding is causing probs - just from CD20-25. But she was just guessing, and I'm a bit worried about screwing up my cycle with it - has anyone taken this?

LinzRed · 28/01/2010 11:31

Hi everyone. Im trying to post everyday and hopefully get to know everyone a bit better and keep up with whats going on with each of you but I have to confess I am struggling with all the acronyms.

Could someone put me out of my misery and explain AF, UCL etc as they aren't on the website list of acronyms. I'd like to be added to the list but don't fully understand it cos of all the acronyms! I'm on the 7th day of my cycle counting from first bleed after giving up my pill. Last pill taken on 19th Jan after taking it for 10 years so very early days.

Feeling like I'll definitely fit in here seeing as I've already gone through my twilight obsession and I am off work today and currently have Buffy on FX while I;m typing (i'm 31 in 2 months time).

hermya yes I have bought the thermometer but not used it yet as I am trying not to freak out DH - wondering if I can persuade him to get out of bed before me every morning and do it in secret (is that bad?)

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 28/01/2010 12:14

Hi LinzRed

AF = Aunt Flo = period
UCL = usual cycle length

So your stats would be:
LinzRed TTC#1 cycle 1 UCL ? CD7

Welcome Felicityflick, if you let us know your stats we can add you to this list and you can join the symptom spotting hoardes!

Good work on the stalking bunny. Is this sudden desire to spring clean the list an early sign of nesting?

Still experiencing mild cramping here. The fact that it is continuous suggests its pre AF rather than implantation

lucielooo · 28/01/2010 12:43

capricorn76 she sounds vile. As seablue says normally best to avoid like the plague. Failing that just console yourself with the fact that she's a cow and probably no-one likes her.

LinzRed lol.. this occured to me. First thing DH said when we agreed to try for a baby was 'haha you're not going to start taking your temperature everyday and putting your feet up on the headboard are you haha'

Doesn't he know me at all?!

I'm breaking him in gently at the moment

lucielooo · 28/01/2010 12:43

And forgot to say,

Thank you for all my welcomes!

WhiteRoses · 28/01/2010 13:27

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd pop in and say hello cause I've been missing for a few days. Just put a huge long post on the graduates thread but now I'm really really tired and this thread's going to be even harder to catch up on - you lot talk so much! Lol! Anyway, I'm still about, still fine and will check in again soon. (Maybe later this afternoon after I've had a nap.)

claireinthecommunity · 28/01/2010 13:35

Hello everyone

A warm welcome to FelicityFlick

Capricorn, I agree with seablue, this wife of DH friends sounds toxic. Do you know if she's the same with others and not just you? If so, as lucieloo has said, nobody else will like her either

Bunny, I'll echo yorkshire here - good work on the stalking

LinzRed, if there are any other acronyms you don't get just ask - we all did at some point

Chalky, it's good to hear that your DH is clued up on what week it is and what's expected of him

Hermya, I don't have any experience of the OPKs but at CD11 I would say just shag BD anyway

Mumsnerves, with all my symptom spotting over the last week or so I can't really slap you round the face for it! Good luck

Ooh I hope it's the latter chance, good luck

Hope I haven't missed anyone out, the thread can be tricky to keep on top of now!

I'm not certain, but I think I may of had some spotting when I wiped after my wee in the middle of the night last night, there was no spotting after my second wee of the day (sorry to be so graphic). So, I'm now thinking AF is on her way, but the crazybabylady side of me is shouting IMPLANTATION!!! I'll keep you posted.
