After 18m persuading DH, we are finally (v gently ) TTc no 3.
As I am now 35, am convinced my fertility days are behind me.
Anyone in a similar position and needing to share support?

Oooh just thought I would take a peek on here to see how you are all doing and say hello, and there is another BFP! Congratulations Lionstar

chocciedooby well done on getting some timely BD-ing in, I really hope it does the trick for you.

Been having a bit of a stressful time over the last few weeks with red bleeding/spotting. I had an early scan on Friday and saw little bean with a heartbeat which they measured at 9 weeks, so massively relieved! Not sure what was causing the bleeding, just one of those things I guess.

Big hello to everyone else

I'm sure you will all be graduating soon x

DarrellRivers · 28/09/2008 19:13

Pleased all going well so far spangles, and although you have had some bleeding , the heartbeat is good

Hi everyone - am nearly 35 so thought would try this link. QUESTION if i BD on CD14 and now on CD16 the ovulation kit says pos does that mean i ouvlate on CD17 or CD18 which would be 24-48 hours after the lH surge. My husband has gone away and as we BD on CD14 is there a chance to conceive if i dont ovulate until cd18? ANyone know?? some hope??

chocciedooby · 30/09/2008 12:09

Welcome Spats.
There is always a chance of conceiving around that time.
I am on cd20, not sure when I ovulated (think cd13 or 14)so keeping fingers crossed it is my lucky month

wasabipeanut · 01/10/2008 11:57

Hey congrats Lionstar - fabby news!

Spangle - sorry to hear you've had bleeding stress (I remember it only too weel from my own previous pregnancy) but if you have a bean with a heartbeat at 9 weeks you're looking pretty good

Spats - apparently sperm can survive for up to 5 days so you should be ok if you ov on day 18. Mind you, I also know a few MNers aren't keen on OPK sticks for various reasons.

Hi, does anyone have any experience of taking prednisolone? I have had 3 failed attempts. First was a partial mole, second failed at about 6 weeks and third at 11 weeks. Local hospital useless so went private and found to have possible issues with natural killer cells and blood clotting factors and so was prescribed prednisolone to supress the immune system (not a method the NHS support at the moment)and aspirin.
I find it makes you feel 'pregnant' though and have spent a fortune on first response kits! Now on CD19 of 6th attempt, having used clearblue ov monitor for first time (surprised to find high fertility indicated CD11 and 12). No spotting as yet (which I have been having up to 14 days before AF) and feel like I could be heading for BFP but still cautious because of prednisolone and wishful thinking.
Also was 33 at first failed attempt, now 35 and concerned that previous attempts have taken no more than 3 cycles

chocciedooby · 02/10/2008 12:42

Hi Moosecat
Sorry, havcen't heard of Prednisolone but keep posting on here to let us know how you are getting on and if you get a BFP
I am CD22 and don't think this will be my month. Have sore boobs and a pinching feeling around my left ovary (just like 6 months ago
I have also had a glob of mucous which apparently can arrive in the run up to AF.
I will just have to wait and see what the next week brings but reckon I will be back to square one.

wasabipeanut · 02/10/2008 13:29

Sorry to hear that Choccie (although it ain't over until AF, er, sings).

I'll be with you I think as dh and |I have managed to Bd once so far - amy get another couple in tomorrow and sat but that does not a baby make.

I am just glad I got my cycle sussed this month at last!

chocciedooby · 02/10/2008 14:27

We bd'd during my highly fertile time but then a few days afterwards dh asked "When is your fertile time?"!!!!!
This indicates that he is in a muddle with my cycle and doesn't know when we possibly could or could not make a baby
If he choses not to use contraception then I will happily go along with it
Get a few more in there Wasabipeanut, you never know.

Jools1 · 02/10/2008 15:07

Chocciedooby - I had a similar thing with my DP - BD over and he asks "where are you in your cycle" I murmur non-committally and manouvre a pillow under my hips !!!

I think men are best spared the details - assume if they allow BD'ing without contraception, they are a willing party

DP has never been anti and I would never deceive him, but he would never participate in active TTC, so I just organised myself, and made myself irresistible at the right times

chocciedooby · 03/10/2008 09:50

Ditto Jools1!

I have made myself a Drs apt.this morning as I have been getting worsening pains around my left ovary since yesterday. Took me a while to fall aslepp last night and had to take paracetamol to take the edge off. Pain getting worse this morning. I can't wait another 5 days for AF to arrive without knowing what this pain is Sure don't think I'm pregnant anyway so may have to join you ladies again next month.

chocciedooby · 03/10/2008 12:42

Dr. thinks its muscular so still in with a chance this month !!!

wasabipeanut · 03/10/2008 13:00

Oooh choccie thats great news.

Fingers crossed then!

chocciedooby · 08/10/2008 10:43

Hi everyone. I'm sooooo excited!
I got a BFP yesterday and the Dr has confirmed it today
I am over the moon and can't beleive that after 6 months of emotional ups and downs it has finally worked.
I wish all those of you ttc all the best of luck. It will be your turn when you least expect it!

Jools1 · 08/10/2008 10:49

chocciedooby · 08/10/2008 10:57

spats · 08/10/2008 19:30

congrats choccie. v pleased. maybe this is a lucky thread now!!!

CoteDAzur · 09/10/2008 12:27

This has definitely become a lucky thread in the last couple of weeks!

Spangle, jools, choccie and I have all graduated from this thread in the last three weeks. (Did I miss anyone?)

Keeping fingers crossed for everyone else

dharma · 10/10/2008 13:17

Wow - I have only been away 10 days, and ots of positive news!

Well done jools, choccie, cote and spangles - and good luck over the pregnancy!

Well I BD'd on CD11, CD13 and CD14, and OPK showed positive on CD14, so hoping I did enough. I don't think DH would have been able to BD on CD15 for a 3rd day in a row, so I gave him a break.

However, if AF arrives this month, then I won't be so sympathetic next time around!!!

Now have the dreaded 2WW (or 10 days or so actually) and am counting down. Also not even eating any shellfish at all as am going to be super careful this time around - do not want MC ruining things again (that is if I do actually get pg!!)

spats · 11/10/2008 19:12

over for me this month AF is arriving. feel like crying really badly- will wait until children are in bed
