After 18m persuading DH, we are finally (v gently ) TTc no 3.
As I am now 35, am convinced my fertility days are behind me.
Anyone in a similar position and needing to share support?

Hi everyone,

Can I join you guys (in 1 weeks time)?? I'm 35 next Thursday and DH and I are currently on our 3rd cycle of TCC number 1. I've been around on MN for the last few months, but would love to join you guys, as TTC is proving a little harder than expected.

DH had undescended testes at birth and had an op at about 10 years old to correct this. We are currently waiting for the results...

OOOooh and congratulations Jools!!

BSL x

CoteDAzur · 19/09/2008 08:15

Another BFP here, ladies! I am sitting here with tears in my eyes.

Please keep fingers crosses that it is a sticky one.

And good luck to everyone. I am 37, so there is hope!

Jools1 · 19/09/2008 08:49

Wow, what a week - CONGRATULATIONS

hattscat · 19/09/2008 08:53

Congratulations everyone! Wonderful news. I am after some advice..... had regular cycles until late miscarriage at Christmas. Now somewhat muddled. Am charting and using persona and have now had two months were no ovulation has been detected, one in June and this month. Am nearly 39, and have ds aged 2. Do you think I need a trip to the docs?

CoteDAzur · 19/09/2008 09:02

If anyone is interested, I have absolutely no symptoms - no sore breasts, which is especially bizarre because They were seriously hurting towards the end of cycle for the last two months, when I thought I was pregnant.

What changed this month: holiday, so lots of BD. Broken thermometer showed temp stuck under 36 C, so was convinced I did not ovulate and did not even think about whether I could be pregnant. I have a mammogram booked for next week so was thinking it is actually good that I was't pregnant. So I was calm and did not stress at all about TTC this month. I think that was the difference.

Hope this helps. Sending lots of baby dust to everyone

wasabipeanut · 19/09/2008 09:42

Oh wow fabulous news Jools and Cote!! So happy for both of you.

AF arrived for me good and proper yesterday but I was kind of expecting that so hey ho.

Cote, I hear you on the relaxation front I truly do. We concieved DS before we officially "started trying" (married in Dec, were planning to start properly trying in Jan and guess what - honeymoon baby!) so I certainly believe that relaxing is key. It is difficult though, especially when you are no longer in your twenties!

Anyway, back top the positive stuff - sending lots of baby vibes to Jools and Cote x

DarrellRivers · 19/09/2008 10:58

Wonderful news Cote
Good luck with it all

Thank you for the good wishes everyone

hattscat - In your place, I would go to the doctor without delay. But I am a bit of a worrier.

DarrellRivers · 19/09/2008 11:57

hello bluestarlavender and hattscat

If any symptom spotters would like a detailed list of what I experienced, am happy to oblige It is all listed in fertility friend and I can try and summarise (but not whilst at work !)

SlippersAndPipe · 19/09/2008 12:55

Excuse lurking but I wanted to come and say hello and see how you all were. This thread has been quiet in the last week.

Darrell and Dharma - really sorry to hear your news . SFX hang in there.

Jools and Cote . Congratulations! Nice to hear some good news.

I am now 8 weeks pg, but the last three weeks have been marred by on and off brown spotted (seems to be so common but makes me sh1t scared) and I've been sick every evening (about 6pm ) for the past fortnight.

Good luck to you all for this month, and enjoy the bd.

wasabipeanut · 19/09/2008 13:30

Hi slippers, nice to see you! I had lots of early bleeding and into 2nd trimester too with DS but as you've prob gathered all was well. Mine was caused by a cervical erosion which is apparently common in former pill takers and harmless.

I freaked out every time too though (and for a kicker because I am rhesus positive I had to go in for an anti d shot whenever it hapenned!). Try not to worry too much - if you are being sick it is prob a good sign (although also fully remember that it didn't feel like that!).

wasabipeanut · 19/09/2008 13:31

Sorry - forgot to say hello to Bluestar and Hattscat earlier. Welcome! With all the BFP's lately we need some new members

ClairePO · 19/09/2008 17:11

WOW congrats Cote that is great news!

bluestarlavender · 19/09/2008 18:10

Welcome hatts and bluestar - and good luck with it all!!

hatts - I would see the doc, if I were you - no point hanging around at our age!! (hee hee!)

Right well I am off to indulge in a weekend with lots of food and wine!

Have a great weekend all

DarrellRivers · 20/09/2008 18:24

Oh sorry for my silly bitter moment. I just feel sometimes I will never be a mum.

Anyway we're on holiday from Friday, going to Mull for a week. Probably not very broken foot friendly but our cottage looks lovely and it will be nice just to relax for a week. I love it when we're on holiday and can spend time just together. Quite lame really I know

CoteDAzur · 21/09/2008 06:25

Claire Be easy on yourself. 13 months is a long time. In your place, I would be sleeping at my gynaecologist's office until he finds the problem and the solution. Then again, 35 is not old. You have lots of time in front of you.

DarrellRivers · 21/09/2008 14:03

Well that sounds a lovely holiday, and yes, I agree with cote, 35 is still young
It is so draining TTC. So drawn out, and so lonely
I wish I could make it better in some way
Anyhow, sending you supportive vibes

Huge Congratulations Cote and Jools!!!!!It is always great to hear there is baby dust out there
I am CD11 and due to ovulate very soon. DH has been away all weekend so I am keeping my fingers crossed he is up for bd for the next few nights and that he may have missed me so much he may drop all forms of contraception
Wishful thinking eh but I will never give up hope.

chocciedooby · 22/09/2008 14:32

My wish came true
Have to try and repeat it tonight!!!!
How is everyone else?

DarrellRivers · 22/09/2008 15:52

Good luck you temptress
