11DPO positive - but concerned

Hi all just looking for some advice really feeling very anxious. Yesterday at only 10dpo I got 4 positive tests including one clear blue digital it said Pregnant 1-2 weeks.

then this morning I took a pregnancy test that was extremely cheap (pack of 3) with only a 20ml HCG sensitivity and the line was BARELY visable. This was with first morning urine! So I instantly thought I was having a chemical.

i went to the shop and got a more sensitive clear blue test. And it’s come back positive straight away - but in your opinion is the line colour ok for 11dpo?

As getting mixed signals on the cheap tests - not sure if I should be concerned. A doctor won’t see me will they?

thanks Jess

@JDecember21 thank you for keeping us updated ❤️ I'm glad to hear it's easing off but I bet you're still feeling as anxious.

Please let us know how you're feeling in the morning, I'm keeping every possible crossed for you xxx

Runsandbuns · 27/11/2024 23:05

Keeping everything crossed for you @JDecember21 - the fact it's stopped and is brown is definitely a positive sign.
Keep us updated in the morning 💕

JDecember21 · 27/11/2024 23:38

@sellingupslow @Runsandbuns thanks so much both it really means so much to have your support. I will let you know how the next few days go definitely.

@JDecember21 how are you feeling this morning? Xxx

JDecember21 · 28/11/2024 09:32

@sellingupslow hi lovely. No more bleeding but have had some mild cramping all morning but I know this can be normal.

in general I’m just feeling really exhausted and drained as waking up a lot in the night to wee. And nausea seems to have kicked back in this morning.

Ive cancelled any plans that I have and I’ve literally just been in bed. Mental health pretty bad at the moment 🥺🩷

@JDecember21
I feel you. I'm feeling so down recently too. It's hard having to be anxious all the time but also having to function.

I'm EXHAUSTED all the time and feel like I'm letting my family down as I'm just not able to cook/clean as I usually would!

Runsandbuns · 28/11/2024 18:53

@JDecember21 so glad the bleeding has stopped! This definitely sounds positive news - how are you feeling now?
Take some time for yourself and have some tlc this weekend then scan on Monday!

@sellingupslow absolutely exhausted too! Had a work event last night where I had to fake drink and I was genuinely falling asleep at the dinner table. It's going to be a very loooong December....

JDecember21 · 28/11/2024 19:34

@sellingupslow @Runsandbuns hey guys. I’ve had no bleeding at all today which is fab and also been doing a bit of research and by the sounds of it bleeding is (unfortunately) very common in the first trimester? It could be due to a lot of different things that are not dangerous to the baby.I’ve been working from home the last two days well I didn’t work at all yesterday because I was in a lot of shock but feeling a lot better today did a pregnancy test today just as a precaution and it was the darkest it’s ever been, I know exactly how you feel. I was at a family event last night and I was literally falling asleep. I also feel guilty about not cleaning and exercising et cetera however I’m kind of trying to lean into it now and just accept that this is how life will be for the next six weeks or so. 😂🩷

Ah @JDecember21 im so so pleased to hear your update, I've been thinking about you loads today!

I ended up having my scan today with the NHS as they had to reschedule so it was either today or in a week!

Measuring 6+6 which is exactly what I was anticipating and a strong little heartbeat 🥹

sellingupslow · 28/11/2024 19:38

I wanted to check you were ok before I shared a pic as I know how hard it can be to see someone else having good news when you're struggling ❤️

JDecember21 · 28/11/2024 21:20

Aww @sellingupslow that is amazing news lovely so happy for you!!! Ahh that’s very thoughtful of you 🥺🥺 thank you xx

i am in a much better place though to be honest. The bleeding was literally only happening for about 2 hours and it was extremely light spotting so I’m feeling a lot more optimistic as it’s not continued, and I’m thinking surely if it was something bad the bleeding wouldn’t just stop for like 24 hours surely.

sending lots of love and honestly so pleased for you. I bet it’s feeling a lot more real now??

I can’t wait for that moment, in my head at the moment the baby isn’t actually real until I see it on the scan if that makes sense? Struggling to bond with the baby until I have proof that it’s real 🥺😂

im going to have a warm bath tonight and then treating myself to a hair cut and blow dry tomorrow. Supposed to be going to Winter Wonderland on Saturday with friends but going to see how I feel on the day. Tbh, I have been feeling better actually seeing friends, I always feel worse when I’m in bed?! Xx

Awww @sellingupslow huge congratulations!!! That's such a special feeling and so exciting!
You must be so happy! 🥹🥹

So glad you're feeling better @JDecember21 - a fresh blow dry is always the best kind of tlc! Hopefully you're feeling up to tomorrow eve and will be a good distraction to be around friends.
My OH and I have quite a busy weekend which I'm hoping will tick the time away before our first scan and praying and hoping I get to hear that heartbeat! 💓

JDecember21 · 29/11/2024 20:52

How's everyone feeling/doing today?

I'm so shattered and emotional but my nausea has completely disappeared and have had nothing since last night so now I'm back to panicking 😭 @JDecember21 @Runsandbuns

Brownbottle · 01/12/2024 19:21

Hope you’re feeling calmer now @JDecember21 Did you end up going to Winter Wonderland? I can’t even cope with it there not pregnant

@sellingupslow Glad your scan went well, great there was a strong heartbeat! My symptoms definitely vary a lot day to day and it’s very common to have one day without nausea or a few days and then for it to come back later in week! I’ve read lots of people say this. I’m sorry you’re panicking though, how are you now?

@Runsandbuns when is your first scan? Sorry if I’ve missed, I really struggle to keep track of everyone on these threads!

I’ve had some nausea most days but it’s only at certain points, definitely worse when I haven’t eaten in a while but it’s not that bad at all, kind of like being mildly hungover! Apart from that my boobs have got a bit bigger and they’re a bit sore in morning and evening, I feel a bit more tired but not wiped out really. So I worry I haven’t got enough symptoms and that therefore something’s wrong!

I’m planning to book a private scan Friday 13th (hope not unlucky!!) when I’ll be 8 weeks 4 days, as long as I don’t get any bleeding or cramping until then.

JDecember21 · 01/12/2024 19:38

@sellingupslow hey!! Honestly I wouldn’t worry too much about the nausea my symptoms come and go, yesterday I was fine all day not sick at all then today it’s hit me with a vengeance!!

@Runsandbuns your scan is tomorrow too isn’t it? So is mine, don’t know about you but I’m feeling so nervous about it today. Let me know how it goes! Hope you managed to have a nice weekend!

@Brownbottle ahhh yes I did haha it was quite overwhelming but somehow my nausea subsided for the day I think it did me good to get out the house!! Really strange.

I think once I have the 6w 5 day scan tomorrow it may help to make me feel better hopefully!! If I can see for sure that there’s definitely something in there it might help with all these horrible symptoms xxx

Hi all, happy Sunday!

@Brownbottle @sellingupslow my symptoms are really mild too, apart from feeling pretty shattered, I've had a few mild waves of nausea that subsides as soon as I eat, so really wouldn't worry- think everyone is different, I'm trying to frame that I'm lucky I am still able to continue with life normally atm(and there's still time for it to hit us...)

@JDecember21 yes my scan is tomorrow morning, I am sooo nervous too- just hoping for it to all go smoothly and can start to feel real. Let me know how yours goes too and hopefully this time tomorrow we will both be feeling pretty chilled... 💕💕

Runsandbuns · 02/12/2024 12:05

Morning all- little update- a healthy looking baby (if you can call it that at this stage) with a strong heart rate - measuring at 6 weeks 5 days 🤗 soo happy.

Hope yours goes well today @JDecember21- keep me updated ♥️

JDecember21 · 02/12/2024 12:52

@Runsandbuns omg so happy for you that’s amazing!!!! Really relieved for you :) 🩷🩷 you must feel so much better!!

@Brownbottle @sellingupslow

just to give you all an update.

just as I thought visibility was really poor once again due to the shape of my uterus and in the end we managed to see what we thought was a little flickering heart beat and obvs everything else.

However, there is now a 2nd gestational sack in there so there is a twin, but the visibility was so poor that we couldn’t really see what was in there…. So I need to go back in 10 days to see if the 2nd baby is viable or not!

but was nice to see the little flickering heart beat but again it wasn’t very clear which is a shame so we can’t say with certainty that everything is ok but we saw the outline of everything I think it’s just my shape is very hard to see.

head is a little bit all over the place but staying strong !! Pray for twin number 2!! Xx

Brownbottle · 02/12/2024 13:35

@Runsandbuns so pleased for you, lovely scan image and great you can see heartbeat!

@JDecember21 What a rollercoaster! Must be frustrating that poor visibility is meaning it’s hard to know exactly what’s going on but good to see the little heartbeat! What a surprise on the twin - will cross everything for you and hope it is viable Flowers

JDecember21 · 02/12/2024 14:38

@Brownbottle thanks so much!!! Yes I’m keeping all my fingers crossed 🥺🥺

Oh my goodness @JDecember21 TWINS!! That's a real turn - keeping everything crossed the 2nd little bean is sticking out too! How exciting!
That would really be an extra special Christmas present 🤞🏻

And thank you all- feeling very happy now I've seen the little thing flicker, feels way more real! Remind me @Brownbottle have you ha da scan yet or will your first be on the 13th?

sellingupslow · 02/12/2024 14:43

@Brownbottle @Runsandbuns @JDecember21

Omg so much positively on the chat today, what a lovely thing to read this afternoon!!

@JDecember21 omg I bet you're feeling shocked!! Do you have twins in the family? Sorry you couldn't get a proper confirmation but at least they saw a flickering heartbeat and it means you get to go in for another scan soon!

@Runsandbuns what a beautiful scan 🥹 I'm 7+3 today so we're sooo close! Nothing beats the feeling of seeing everything looking ok and being able to breathe a big sigh of relief ❤️

Nope no scans, first private scan (which I need to book!!) I’d like to have on Friday 13th which I’m hoping will be lucky for me not unlucky! I’ll be 8 weeks and 4 days. I’m praying that by doing it a bit later if all is progressing well then they’ll be able to see heartbeat etc. But I’m terrified the tests are somehow not real and I’ve imagined the whole thing!

I am feeling super nauseous this afternoon so although rubbish I’m hoping it’s good that symptoms are increasing..

JDecember21 · 03/12/2024 09:41

@Brownbottle i have to say I was feeling the EXACT same about the whole not being real thing. Apparently it’s a common thing, but the fact that you’re having symptoms is obviously a good sign. As hard as it is try to ignore that annoying voice in your head! I also have my follow up scan on Friday 13th!

@sellingupslow yes it turns out I do have 2 sets of twins in my family!!!

@Runsandbuns i know!!! I’m now so worried for the 2nd one!! Praying it’s ok and it’s just hidden from view 🩷 trying not to think the worst but now so worried about the other one even though all I ever wanted was one of course! Xxx

at least it explains why I have been feeling so awful recently and struggling so much xxx
