11DPO positive - but concerned

Hi all just looking for some advice really feeling very anxious. Yesterday at only 10dpo I got 4 positive tests including one clear blue digital it said Pregnant 1-2 weeks.

then this morning I took a pregnancy test that was extremely cheap (pack of 3) with only a 20ml HCG sensitivity and the line was BARELY visable. This was with first morning urine! So I instantly thought I was having a chemical.

i went to the shop and got a more sensitive clear blue test. And it’s come back positive straight away - but in your opinion is the line colour ok for 11dpo?

As getting mixed signals on the cheap tests - not sure if I should be concerned. A doctor won’t see me will they?

thanks Jess

Hey everyone!

I had a scan today due to pain on my side- I think I'm 5+5 however they could only see a gestational sac and yolk, no foetal pole so now I'm feeling even more anxious than before 😢

They've booked me in for a follow up on Dec 2nd but how am I going to survive that long 😭 I've just had a bad feeling from the start

Runsandbuns · 21/11/2024 22:11

Hi @sellingupslow sorry to hear about the pains but sounds all pretty positive to me. You are probably just too early in the journey for them to see. This happened to my friend who went for a scan at 6 weeks after also experiencing pains and they could just about make out the gestational sac. She went back 10 days later and everything was all good and she heard the heartbeat. She's now 30 weeks pregnant.
Try not to overthink the worst , and stay positive.
This is definitely a very anxious period but focus on each day. 💕💕

JDecember21 · 22/11/2024 09:51

Hi @sellingupslow hope youre ok sorry to hear this 🩷 as you’re 5.5 weeks by the looks of it you could be right on track. You also could have ovulated later than you thought like I did. It could take anything up to 6.5 weeks or maybe even more to see the foetal pole. I thought I was 5 weeks at mine and I only saw a sac nothing else. I think everyone is different honestly and it really does vary for everyone! It looks at though below it could take up to 7 weeks to see everything so as hard as it is please try not to fret. I’m in the same boat as I have to wait for my scan too to see if anything has changed in ten days and it’s going to be so hard. Trying to keep myself busy and I’m here if you ever need to talk xx I think we have to look at all the positives. I had pain too and now it’s gone - at least they didn’t identify ectopic etc? That’s really positive that everything is in the right place x

Hi ladies I also forgot to say, yesterday I finally got my 3+ on a test, so I’m officially not testing any more now as I must be at least 5 weeks or more. And no need to drive myself crazy anymore! Hope you’re all okay. I’m trying to distract myself. Struggling a lot with work at the moment just feeling so tired and drained. I’ve not been able to clean the house at all or do any excercise feeling not myself at all xx

Amazing @JDecember21 that's such a great milestone!! I've been holding off using mine but might try tomorrow.

Sorry you're not feeling yourself, but at least it's a sign your body is working overtime to grow a gorgeous little human. Weirdly I'm still not feeling much, which I guess is a blessing but equally I'm finding it worrying. I'm maybe a little more tired in the evening but that's about it

JDecember21 · 22/11/2024 11:27

@Runsandbuns thanks so much lovely. I know it doesn’t guarantee anything but it is a comfort to see in plain words that it’s progressing. I’ve promised myself no more tests now.

Thank you! It’s weird because I wouldn’t say it’s like crazy symptoms for me I’m not being sick or anything, I just feel like I don’t want to do anything/no motivation. Honestly I wouldn’t worry: there are women who have a pregnancy with barely any symptoms at all, or they could hit you out of the blue (sorry) honestly everyone is different.

just counting down the days to the scan is the hardest thing. I say I’ll be happy if I see a heartbeat etc/ but then I’m sure I’ll find something else to worry about 😂😂 xx

How's everyone doing today? 💕

@Runsandbuns that’s great, glad you’re feeling much happier! I also did the weeks test this morning and got 3+! I got 2-3 when i did it was week when I would have been on the border so relieved it’s progressed - I know it doesn’t mean everything but we take what we can get at this stage!

@sellingupslow yay! Pleased for you! Did they tell you what they could see on the scan?

Runsandbuns · 24/11/2024 10:37

Morning! So good to see such positive news - congrats @Brownbottle on the 3+ weeks, it's definitely a reassuring feeling to reach that milestone!
And congrats @sellingupslow - what a did they say they could see/ hear in the scan? I

sellingupslow · 24/11/2024 11:43

Sorry for the short message yesterday! I was out and desperately wanted to share the news with someone 😅

So pleased for all the 3+ weeks on the digital tests, it's so nice to see everyone progress and that we have such similar due dates!!

How's everyone feeling? I'm feeling EXHAUSTED but fine apart from that. I woke up yesterday feeling extremely anxious and like I couldn't cope so my dp booked a scan which has really helped. They were so much more reassuring than the NHS scan.

They saw a little baby and a heartbeat. I got a little video but I can't post it here sadly!

JDecember21 · 24/11/2024 20:47

@Runsandbuns @Brownbottle ahh congrats on the 3+ tests! It’s such a good feeling isn’t it to see it going up. So happy for you both.

@sellingupslow yay im so happy for you!!! This is great news!!! Do you still have the follow up scan on 2nd December? I’ve just realised that I have an NHS follow up scan the exact same day lol. I should be 6.5/7 weeks by then. Really nervous for it tbh but your scan has made me feel a lot more positive.

in all honestly I am feeling really rubbish at the moment, feel really guilty as I feel like I should be happy but I can’t help it with how rubbish I feel physically. Not being sick but just feeling queasy, tired, boobs so sore and tired BUT that’s part of the fun right 😂. I’ve just been in bed most of the day.

how’s everyone else feeling? I think because this is my 1st pregnancy I had no idea what to expect physically. Going to try and get myself out for a little jog in the morning as I feel like I’ve really been neglecting myself recently 🩷🩷🩷

I love how I mentioned tired twice in that comment 😂

OP posts:
Runsandbuns · 25/11/2024 17:15

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish @JDecember21 ! Did you manage your jog today? I guess take it as a sign that your body is working extra hard right now, so just lean into it and don't put too much pressure on yourself.

I'm still feeling pretty normal, definitely more tired and a desire to eat a lot more carby food, and boobs are pretty sore but managing to do normal things- 1 weeks until my scan!! Cannot wait

JDecember21 · 25/11/2024 20:21

@Runsandbuns no way have you got a scan on December 2nd too? That’ll be my nhs follow up one. Really nervous. All they saw last time was a sac but hoping they can see more by the scan🤞🏼

thanks very much!! I’m quite taken aback with how bad I feel- but everyone is different aren’t they!! It all depends on our bodies. I didn’t make it out for my jog gonna try in the morning it’s like every time I try to do anything physical my body is like NOPE!

work was really difficult today, but I’ve discovered the secret is that I have to keep eating / grazing 😂 if I’m slightly hungry I feel sick lol.

sending lots of love to you all this week hope you’re all ok and sending lots of positive vibes xx

OP posts:
sellingupslow · 25/11/2024 20:33

@JDecember21 yup I've got mine on the 2nd too!!

Are you feeling nauseous? I'm feeling SO tired like I cannot function tired - and then I get waves of nausea, but I've not been sick once thankfully!

Runsandbuns · 25/11/2024 20:56

Ah love that we all have ours on the same day! I'm hoping and praying for a heart beat @sellingupslow - jealous you've already managed to hear yours! Will be amazing to see how much your baby has changed in the two scans!

Also @JDecember21, I'm not sure if you're taking B6 already, but I've been taking it since we've been ttc and I was just reading about it this evening and it can potentially help with nausea. Worth a try if you aren't already.

Wishing everyone a healthy week 💕💕

@Runsandbuns that is interesting thank you for the info 🩷

@sellingupslow @Brownbottle

hi everyone, I don’t want to trigger or worry anyone but I know this is a safe space and thought I’d share. Woke up this morning and I was bleeding :(

its not a huge amount and it seems to have turned from a bright red/pink colour to brown.

called the early pregnancy unit they said there’s not much they can do as it’s still really early and I was scanned less than 10 days ago. I just need to monitor it.

feel genuinely awful as I’ve had an upset stomach last few days and I kind of feel like my nausea has disappeared though that could be from the shock. I have my scan on Monday need to try and get through till then. They said if it gets worse to just come in and see them. Would appreciate any well wishes 🥺🥺

sellingupslow · 27/11/2024 08:38

@JDecember21 im sorry to hear that, although I have heard many stories where women bleed and everything is fine. Infact, when I went for my scan last week she asked if I'd had any bleeding because there was something there (I can't remember what it was called) and said I might bleed a little and to not worry at all!

Sounds like you've not had much bleeding and it's slowed right down ❤️

Thinking of you lots, we're all in this together! Xxx

sellingupslow · 27/11/2024 08:40

@JDecember21 Monday is also a long time to sit and worry - a private clinic will deffo scan you. I know it's not ideal because you have to pay but at least you won't have to worry ❤️

JDecember21 · 27/11/2024 08:56

Thank you so much lovely. Yes I’m considering that definitely @sellingupslow 🩷

keeping all my fingers crossed xx

OP posts:
Runsandbuns · 27/11/2024 09:00

@JDecember21 I'm so sorry to hear that but as been said, a bit of bleeding can be perfectly normal and try not to over think. Have you been in any pain at all/ has the bleeding got worse?
I'm sure everything is completely fine and nothing to worry about, but honestly maybe for peace of mind get a scan booked in sooner and you'll be able to relax.

Sending you lots of positive vibes 💕💕💕

JDecember21 · 27/11/2024 11:58

@Runsandbuns thank you so much. I think my worry with the scan is that a lot of the places only offer abdominal basically and I would need the transvaginal probably because the nurse said last time cos of the shape of my uterus titling back I think they would really struggle to see :(

the bleeding now is pretty much brown and is more like spotting but my sickness has disappeared and I’m getting period like cramp feelings so I really do this this is the start of a loss.

I really hope I’m wrong but I just have a bad feeling :( xx

OP posts:
JDecember21 · 27/11/2024 14:21

Hi ladies just to update you the bleeding has stopped and now it’s just like a brown discharge - sorry if TMI. But it doesn’t seem to be getting heavier and no pain so keeping all my fingers crossed. I know it might not mean much but just took a pregnancy test and the test line couldn’t be any darker so I’m praying for th best xx

OP posts:
Brownbottle · 27/11/2024 14:32

Hi @JDecember21 so sorry to hear of your worries, I know you must be panicking. It sounds like it’s subsiding which is really good and good that it’s brown blood.

obviously we have no idea on the cause but I read on here all the time that bleeding can be very common through pregnancy, and especially brown. I’ve had some on off cramps from beginning and I don’t feel nauseous consistently, it really comes and goes so I wouldn’t worry about it Flowers

Maybe see if you can get a transvaginal scan somewhere for reassurance? Really hope things turn out ok, keep us updated xx
