Trying for another, after a battle the first time round

A bit niche..?

DH and I are back in the ttc game trying for our second, currently ovulating on cycle 3 or 4 (after a chemical at almost 5 weeks last cycle).

With baby 1 it took us 13 long months, which I know isn’t long compared to some, but it really took it out of us mentally. I was doing everything under the sun (you name it, I tried it), DH was hugely feeling the pressure, and we stopped dtd for fun. Ended up pregnant the month after a hycosy.

It’s been so nice to not ttc and get back to dtd to enjoy it, and I said I’d try my best to be more chill this time (& here I am making a thread 🫠) but hard to just “forget” everything I learned last time! So quite nervous about another potential long wait, and the effects of that.

Don’t know anyone else in a similar position, so thought I might find some company here♥️

Me either. I'm on cycle two day 5, usually have long cycles but last month ovulated day 16 or so. I'm usually day 21-23. Started manifestation as it cannot hurt. Find it hard to stay positive at times.

I'm now on cycle 2, @roro87 I think we are pretty much cycle buddies- I'm day9 today.

If no success this month we are taking a break until June as going on holiday to an area with Zika if not pregnant by March. Flights booked which is how confident I am that it's not going to work! 😂

Oh I'm cycle say 10 so very in sync. I started manifesting lately I'm not sure it will work but it's free, easy and is more positive than worrying. I'm down to my lightest now in 4 years or maybe more, eating really healthy and doing yoga. So I'm really hopeful for a good outcome (against all logic). Holiday sounds amazing. I booked a mini break for me and my partner for April. Also booked our wedding for next year.

Sorry for not being around for a while! I had 2 cycles of no ovulation so was feeling really disheartened! I’ve just had an increase in temp though, so looks like I’ve just ovulated 😬🤞🏻! Didn’t really cover it with only one DTD but I’ll just be glad if it’s true ovulation, so that I can continue on this journey! 🙏

Also looks like we covered 3-4 days before ovulation, depending on when I get confirmation, so looks like it won’t result in pregnancy this month but 🤞🏻

I'm on cycle number 2 now since my lost. Definitely ovulated this month thankfully so now I'm 1/2 dpo depending on time of day. Not overly hopeful for this month but fingers crossed

Hi everyone. Sorry been abit quiet recently it's been such a busy time! Taken my mind off the 2ww atleast. Due AF tomorrow. Had my tell-tale spotting that it's on it's way so not hopeful for this cycle. Managed to dtd 3x during fertile window, Inc the day before and the day of the peak so could be in with a chance but... unlikely! Forgot to test this morning with FMU but may do one later.

I’m trying for #3

Took us 5.5 years to have dc1 (needed IVF had 3 failed cycles , I had 2 surgeries then a successful cycle) , 15 months for dc2 (Letrozole) and now we are on cycle 28 of trying for dc3. Saving for IVF again as it’s looking like we will need it

In some ways I feel like I almost wish I hadn’t started again as it’s clearly not going to be easy. We are committed now but as it’s taking a while I am starting to feel a bit depressed I think ? I think I had false hope as it was easier with dc 2 (I know 15 months is not quick but for us it was really quick!).

Well, I am 9 or 10dpo today and I couldn't resist testing. BFN of course! How are you feeling cycle buddy @roro87 ?

@Littleladybugs best of luck with ttc #3. It's an emotional rollercoaster isn't it! We have known fertility issues so no idea how long #2 will take. Ivf was recommended to us after fertility testing was done afew years ago but fortunately I was pregnant by the time we got the results.

AF arrived for me today so on to cycle number 3 X

Hi all! So I've had a positive test this evening which I'm super surprised by. I've had 2 proper cycles... first was 35 days and the second 28... today is 31 and I just on a whim did a test.... I got some urine on the white part of the stick and I've never used easy @ home tests before... so I'm wary that is could be invalid. Any experience of this? I sort of can't believe it....!

@FlyOnTheWall89 I would absolutely say that’s positive!

Easy@home are my favourites by far, and are yet to let me down (unlike most others with their evaps!). I have seen a couple of people warning about them though, maybe even on this thread?? So def test again in the morning, which I’m sure you planned on haha.

That’s also a great line for them, they’re quite faint to begin with if testing early so I’d guess at least 12/13dpo, unless you know exactly anyway haha. Congratulations! Over the moon for you.

Thank you 💖 @tryingfortwo2... interesting - I see lots of people really loving them and I ordered them on Amazon a few days ago so I at least had something in the cupboard... gosh. How exciting! Eeeeeekkk! I don't know DPO as haven't tracked at all. I did get a little EWCM but not as much as normal and haven't logged it anywhere but I should think that was around 10-12 days ago. I'll do another test in the morning and report back.

I was negative too. We go on holiday to a destination with Zika on Sunday so I'm taking a pause until June.

I've been all over the place lately feel like I need to take a step back but also afraid of missing my shot roo. I've been the worst version of myself. Its my baby's burial next week so that's
that's not happening
