A bit niche..?

DH and I are back in the ttc game trying for our second, currently ovulating on cycle 3 or 4 (after a chemical at almost 5 weeks last cycle).

With baby 1 it took us 13 long months, which I know isn’t long compared to some, but it really took it out of us mentally. I was doing everything under the sun (you name it, I tried it), DH was hugely feeling the pressure, and we stopped dtd for fun. Ended up pregnant the month after a hycosy.

It’s been so nice to not ttc and get back to dtd to enjoy it, and I said I’d try my best to be more chill this time (& here I am making a thread 🫠) but hard to just “forget” everything I learned last time! So quite nervous about another potential long wait, and the effects of that.

Don’t know anyone else in a similar position, so thought I might find some company here♥️

@MerryMissie thanks, trying to remind myself there’s nothing I can control so just trying to be patient and wait it out! I took another one this afternoon after a 3hr hold and it was darker than fmu (but still not as dark as last night) so hopefully things are still moving forward in there. Imagine getting a positive pregnancy test and just trusting that you were pregnant, end of, no repeated testing or line comparisons 😂

Your right lovely we have so little control over it all.

Oh imagine just taking a test and thinking "wow I'm pregnant!!" With my first dc and my only pregnancy I took about 10 tests watching them get darker!!

I've started symptom spotting someone stop me!!!

I was the same with my first dc after I got my bfp... took sooo many more tests!
AF is due for me tomorrow. Didn't dtd in the fertile window so very much expecting it to arrive. Officially start ttc from next cycle. I said I wasn't going to but I'm going to order an easy at home testing kit and get tracking! Figure I could use all the help I can get! X

@MerryMissie oooo what symptoms are you currently spotting? 😂

An update from me: tests are back on track this morning, which is all I was going to say, but then I thought this might be helpful if anyone else ever loses their mind like I was..

the top test is FMU (at 4:30am when toddler woke me up and I couldn’t hold it!), the bottom is SMU about 4 hours later. the difference amazed me.. but the control lines are really different intensities too. So maybe strip tests for progression taken daily so early on isn’t a good idea 🙈 hcg must be so low just now that tiny fluctuations cause differences in tests too? I don’t know, but I wish I’d read the above yesterday during my spiral!

@tryingfortwo2 so far so good! Fingers crossed? Did you do any fertility testing the first time around out of interest? I know you had a HyCoSy... but any bloods / sperm test? Basically any reason you didn't conceive for 13 months? X

@FlyOnTheWall89 thank you. Yeah I had bloods (all normal), lining check - all normal, my left side has less “branches” on my ovary so probably ovulates less than my right, right tube was “clogged” but cleared with hycosy. DH’s SA was a bit low on volume but everything else totally normal, so probably just that particular sample. We were labelled “unexplained”.

That's great @tryingfortwo2 you can definitely see those lines!!

Usually when I'm coming up to AF I have painful boobs. Its localised just at nipples and not that sore

I need to pee alot

Feeling slightly queasy and dizzy

However all of the above could be settling from getting the coil out only this month!!! I'm not even 100% where in my cycle I am. If I have 4 days or 6 days till Af as I wasn't really getting a period in the coil!

I would love to join and hoping it's a lucky thread! DH and I are going to start TTC after Christmas. DS is 14 months and was conceived after two years of obsessively trying and a round of IVF. Hoping to try naturally for 9 months before using one of our embryos.

I've just ordered 20 of the "easy at home" pg tests from amazon.... why am I like this haha... Will have arrived for me being back home and will try and hold off testing till Friday if AF doesn't come by then

I am trying for my second also , first baby took us two years to fall, this is our third month trying and I'm due for AF on 27th, I got a really strange pain to the left very low down 3 days ago that lasted a few days kind of like a stabbing pain, have been reading about implantation pain, and now I feel like I'm Getting my hopes up Don't know wether to test early to get it over with. I know exactly how you feel as we were exactly the same , it takes it out of you so much and just dreading it happening again x

@MerryMissie how are you doing?!

@Peonies94 thank you, feeling okay but still v nervous (I’m an anxious person so I’ll probably be like this for 9 months 😂). This was month 3 of tracking, plus a month before that we didn’t try but didn’t prevent. So 3, I’d say? Still in shock!

@FlyOnTheWall89 mine came back around when 9/10months, she started eating more solids and sleeping through the night, and about 3 weeks later I got a period. The first was short with a longer than normal gap, then they regulated.

@hol92 welcome to this thread, fingers crossed for you! And good luck for staying strong with testing early haha, I’m the worst for it.

I'm still symptom spotting like no tomorrow though....

Went to a beauty treatment today and the woman told me she got pregnant first month off the coil!! I am not giving up hope until (if) AF arrives!!

@MerryMissie yes I’m good thank you, got my 2-3 weeks on the cb and lines still getting darker, though I’ve promised myself today was my last day testing haha.

Well done for holding off testing so far! Still symptom spotting? Ohh it’s always nice to hear wee stories of hope haha, the coil does get great reviews for fertility returning immediately doesn’t it, I’m sure that’s why I was recommended it x

@tryingfortwo2 thanks - I had a short light period but I'm maybe 35 days post this and nothing at the moment. I did have usual ovulation signs so maybe I did ovulate, unsure. Hoping things become more regular in the next few months. My baby eats loads so she has reduced milk consumption drastically in the last 6 weeks.

@FlyOnTheWall89 breastfeedimg around the clock right now, baby feeds all night and we co sleep but I’m hoping to stop co sleeping in a months time and sending her dad to deal with wake ups , hoping to partially night wean, but we’ll see!! Hoping that’ll help my periods to return 🤞🏻
