Anyone else right at the start of a new cycle? I could do with some cycle buddies.

I'm 32, cycle 5 and TTC first baby. Regular cycles of 27/28 days.

Feeling bummed today - I really thought this month could be our month after all the DTD! Had my first TTC cry yesterday. Is that pathetic after just 5 months?!

@dweebette huge congratulations! Very exciting news. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy x

Dweebette · 24/06/2019 21:32

Thanks @Wishing56 I'm in a daze. Feels too good to be true and suddenly feel very unprepared and lacking in knowledge!!

Wishing56 · 24/06/2019 21:50

Took me a week for it to sink in. Have you told your DH?
Have you figured out an estimated due date?
You have 9 months to get prepared just enjoy it!

Skyla01 · 25/06/2019 08:27

@Dweebette that is amazing news! And you were right all along (not going insane) so even better!! How long in between tests did you leave it?

Dweebette · 25/06/2019 09:30

@Wishing56 yes I told him straight away, he is delighted (and a bit proud of himself I think lol). I think it'll be hard to date it because AF was irregular but I think I'm 5-6 weeks and would be due end of Feb! What about you? How are you feeling? I'm still super queasy

@Skyla01 thanks! I tested on Tues 18th and got BFN then Monday 25th and strong BFP. Both times in the evening. Still can't believe it and don't really know what to do now!

Peachyx2505 · 25/06/2019 09:35

Congratulations @Dweebette 😍😍 wishing you a happy and healthy nine months xx

Quick update here, don't want to bring the thread down... mil lost her battle yesterday. I'm so glad she's no longer in pain. We were all with her and she was peaceful xx

Wishing56 · 25/06/2019 11:53

@dweebette my AF was irregular too as somewhere between 23rd-26th Feb. I have paid for a private dating scan for the 13th July as I just want to make sure everything is ok.
So far just had really sore boobs and lots of tugging type cramps. Bit of nausea but not been sick.

Wishing56 · 25/06/2019 11:56

@peachyx2505 so sorry for your loss. Hope you are ok. X

Dweebette · 25/06/2019 12:01

@Peachyx2505 so sorry for your loss but glad it was peaceful. Wishing you all lots of strength now to get through the next part.

@Wishing56 I have a lot of tugging too and I am really scared but DH doesn't want to pay for an early scan. I'll see how I feel in two weeks I think and may book one anyway. I'm not being sick either, just feel like I've got a bad hangover and also cramps like AF is about to come. All in all not pleasant. Rang the GP today too and was told to just self refer to midwife services, they couldn't give any guidance at all. My main worry is whether I need to stop training, I've been going to the gym 3/4 times a week and don't know if it's OK to continue

Wishing56 · 25/06/2019 12:20

@dweebette have they given you a number you can call and speak to someone? I dont do exercise so cant help im afraid. Maybe ask on the pregnancy forum?
My GP has an onsite midwife so I am booked in there for 18/7 when I am 9weeks.
Is this your first baby?

Dweebette · 25/06/2019 12:41

@Wishing56 no, just told me to go on the website and search midwife services and then there's just a form I have to fill in and leave in the GP I think (it's not a great format to read on phone and I can't print in work when I'm hiding it!). Yeah it's my first, how about you?

Wishing56 · 25/06/2019 12:47

@dweebette oh right. Seems like every GP service handles things differently.
Yeah my first too.

keeponsmiling2019 · 25/06/2019 15:47

Hi ladies just checking in. I hope you are all well. Sorry to those who AF paid a visit to, I know how heartbreaking it is.

@Wishing56 how are you feeling? I have my first midwife booking in appointment at 6+4, then I have my 8 week private scan on the 14th so a day after you!

@Louise190 my EWCM went thinner just before I ovulated, then after I ovulated I had creamy white sticky cm. Fingers crossed for you.

Dweebette - yay, congrats to you!

@Peachyx2505 sorry to hear this, RIP now

Skyla01 · 25/06/2019 16:27

@Peachyx2505 I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad the ordeal is over for her and all of you. Hope things aren't too hard just now before they get better.

@Dweebette I think the exercise will be ok to continue with intensity down a notch or too. If you feel up to it! If your body is used to it it'll be fine to keep it up as long as your body feels ok.

Congrats to you three all with BFP!

Dweebette · 25/06/2019 17:12

Thanks @keeponsmiling2019

@Skyla01 thank you! Any update from your side? Keeping everything crossed for everyone still waiting on AF / starting another cycle. Just shows it can actually happen when you least expect it (though we did DTD a lot this cycle!)

Skyla01 · 25/06/2019 17:35

@dweebette I remember you thinking you were definitely out. Just shows you...

No news here. I feel a bit like testing after seeing your bfp- I'd love to get one too!! But I don't want to be disappointed so going to wait it out for a bit longer. After such cycle confusion would be happy enough to see AF and try again with a new cycle. Waiting game for now though.

Wishing56 · 25/06/2019 17:58

@keeponsmiling2019 not feeling too bad at the moment. Felt a bit off today but think its because I feel really hot (no aircon in office). Feel very tired so getting straight into bed when home.
How about you?
My booking in appt isnt until i am 9+1 as I am abroad at 8 weeks and I already have 18th July off so I dont need to tell work yet if I wait until then.
Cant wait for my scan. I arrive home at 2am on the 13th and my scan is at 11am. I will be tired but I didnt want to wait any longer lol

Wishing56 · 25/06/2019 17:59

@Skyla01 what CD are you are? When do you think you will test? Fingers crossed for you.

Skyla01 · 25/06/2019 19:30

So exciting you guys all have your early scans coming up!

@Wishing56 I am cd41, but last cycle was 57 days so haven't got my hopes up really. A lot of cycle confusion this month (did I even ovulate? When?) so another reason to be realistic. Part of me thought about testing this weekend, another part thinks I'll just wait for AF to get me (or morning sickness...?!). Wouldn't mind af tbh, kinda fancy a fresh crack at a cycle with less confusion. Time will tell!

blackfriars · 26/06/2019 11:45

Hi ladies, sorry for the silence just needed to take a bit of time out to get my head straight!

@Dweebette CONGRATULATIONS! So so pleased all those horrid symptoms weren't for nothing, and hope you're feeling a bit better now. I'd be interested to hear the verdict on your training when you have one as I currently go to the gym about 3 times a week and do weights training and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to continue if I do get a BFP.

@Peachyx2505 - I'm so sorry about your MIL, but it sounds like her passing was as peaceful as possible. Hope that you and your DH are doing as well as can be expected, and that you are finding some time to relax.

I'm now on CD8 and going to get back on the proverbial horse today. For those without a BFP last cycle I just found this thread which I've found really positive to read:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2599112-To-ask-for-your-successful-TTC-stories-when-over-30-and-TTC-No-1-for-more-than-6-month

Keep trying to tell myself that it WILL happen, and that I'm probably lucky to not be pregnant for moving day (tomorrow!)

Hope everyone is ok xx

Wannabemummy22 · 26/06/2019 17:06

@Dweebette congratulations on your amazing news!!

@Peachyx2505 so sorry to hear of your sad news.

@blackfriars I am also CD8 today and also planning the same thing. I have decided to stop using OPK's so it's going to be a bit of a guessing game but hoping it will make me feel more relaxed. Thank you for the link it is nice to read that a you're not the only ones going through it and b you do get to the desired result. Good luck for moving house tomorrow and you know what they say 'new house new baby'!!

Dweebette · 26/06/2019 17:28

@blackfriars I spoke to a personal trainer about it yesterday and they said as long as you've been training before you get pregnant you're fine to continue, just need to listen to your body (don't lift too heavy, don't overheat, don't push yourself if you're too tired etc). From 2nd trimester you shouldn't do anything on the floor as it puts pressure on your back and in general best to avoid leg press. It was great news for me as I've struggled with weight in the past and am terrified off gaining loads

Skyla01 · 26/06/2019 19:09

@blackfriars good luck with your house move tomorrow! I'm glad it's finally happening. And cd8 already- new opportunity with a new cycle! Are you going to try anything different this time? I think you just need to keep the faith that it will happen, and give it a good shot every month.

I'm planning to exercise through pregnancy (feel like I'm getting very far ahead of myself to say that!). If you're used to doing it pre-preg & like you say listen to your body I think you'll be fine. I'm actually looking forward to researching pregnancy workouts, just need that bfp first...!

Skyla01 · 27/06/2019 18:14

So I tested this afternoon- bfn. Feel a bit silly now. But if felt nauseous all afternoon and I figured if I did ovulate at a "normal" point in my cycle could have morning sickness by now. But obviously not the case...! Wish I'd waited for a bit longer. Not sure how sensitive the test was. Anyway, at cd43 with bfn I've just got try and distract myself. Af or ovulation or something will show its face at some point. Just wish I had shorter / more regular cycles!

Dweebette · 27/06/2019 18:27

Sorry about your BFN @Skyla01 irregular cycles are the absolute worst. You're not out until AF shows up though (I did get a BFN a week before my BFP) although I understand wanting to be cautious about being hopeful.
