Anyone else right at the start of a new cycle? I could do with some cycle buddies.

I'm 32, cycle 5 and TTC first baby. Regular cycles of 27/28 days.

Feeling bummed today - I really thought this month could be our month after all the DTD! Had my first TTC cry yesterday. Is that pathetic after just 5 months?!

Well I have about 0 hope right now but I don't think it's a bad thing to be pessimistic. Have a few cramps now too so might be AF causing the nausea ironically. Will wait and see if she appears soon. At least then I'd be on to a new cycle & fresh attempt.
How are you feeling?

Peachyx2505 · 28/06/2019 07:52

Thank you ladies for your kind words 💕 we've been busy organising things which has helped.

@blackfriars hope your house move went well xx

@Skyla01 Sorry for the bfn. Hopefully you get answers soon. Can't imagine how frustrating it must be xx

Hope all you other ladies are doing well xx

I think I'm around cd12 so coming up to fertile time. Not really checking for signs at all, I just happened to look at my app and saw how far into my cycle I was. We aren't stopping trying but obviously it's the last thing on our minds at the mo. Hubby reckons this will end up being our month.... when he went with his dad to register the death, the appointment before was to register a new born baby..... he thinks it's a sign 😍🤞

Skyla01 · 28/06/2019 08:05

@Peachyx2505 my thoughts are with you going through this tough time. I hope everything is going smoothly. No wonder thoughts of ttc have taken a back seat. If you know your fertile window you only really have to DTD 1 or 2 times and you'll have just as good a chance as any other month. The fact your hubby feels extra hopeful may well be a sign!

Skyla01 · 30/06/2019 08:40

So my AF arrived yesterday but I'm feeling upbeat for several reasons. It was only a 44 day cycle! So getting shorter and closer to normal. New cycle new chance to do things better- last cycle I was pretty clueless. Looking back I probably ovulated whilst away on a work trip so we didn't optimise DTD. I've just splashed out on 20 day supply of clear blue digital advanced opk. Hope it won't be a waste of money... Also I had lots of trips away without OH last cycle but nothing planned this time round so no excuses. According to Flo my next af isn't due until 22th August!! But hoping this cycle will be shorter again.

This is me only going on to cycle 3 so very early days. But I'm already seeing how long this could take (long cycles really don't help) so I'm keen to optimise chances each month. Aim for next cycle is to work out when I'm ovulating and make sure there is lots of DTD at the right time!

Hope you guys are all getting on ok, enjoying the sun. I've been able to enjoy a few drinks at bbqs this weekend so that's been another bonus!

Dweebette · 30/06/2019 09:02

@Skyla01 great attitude, fx for cycle 3 for you! The long cycles are so tough, so much waiting and so much uncertainty. Although we got to cycle 6 (7.5 months) we were definitely successful this time because of how much we DTD. Every other day /every 3 days from CD14, it was the only thing we changed. It was absolutely exhausting but will be so worth it if this pregnancy goes the distance (I'm a ball of anxiety right now as having a lot of cramps and had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday, telling myself it's normal but reckon I'll have to talk to a midwife at some point this week just to calm myself)

Skyla01 · 30/06/2019 09:10

I think long cycles don't help because time goes by so much slower! However very possible my cycles will still be getting shorter (I hope).

Sorry to hear you've had extra symptoms. It sounds like these are really common in early pregnancy though, and don't mean anything untoward. Good idea to seek reassurance though.

It's funny- in my mind pregnancy is this lovely relaxed and happy time where everything is awesome (for most people). But seems like lots of people get symptoms which must be horrible to worry about. Hoping everything is absolutely fine with you.

Skyla01 · 30/06/2019 09:12

Actually my DTD plan going forward sounds similar to yours! Was thinking of every third day from about cd10. And more if we can be bothered/ if I get positive opk.

Dweebette · 30/06/2019 09:26

@Skyla01 yeah I know what you mean, I expected to just feel so happy and excited, did not anticipate this fear at all, 12 week scan is probably another 5 weeks away at least and that just seems impossible right now. DH is on board for paying for an early scan if I want but I'm not sure. I'm having lots of symptoms (boobs are growing and are rock solid, nausea in morning, around 4 and if I'm up after 11)so hopefully that's a good sign.

You sound like you've got a solid plan for this cycle, really wishing you so much luck with it! I'm going to stay on this thread if I'm welcome to see how everyone gets on, really appreciated all the support over the past few weeks

Wannabemummy22 · 30/06/2019 09:31

@Skyla01 this is also my plan of action for this month. I'm CD12 at the minute and not using OPK's, have been quite strict about DTD which sounds so harsh but I think it's the only way!

Skyla01 · 30/06/2019 12:56

@Wannabemummy22 I don't see a problem in being regimented with DTD, as long as both partners are happy with that. We have a job to do! And ttc is hard enough even with lots of DTD! We have the rest of our lives to be romantic and spontaneous... Although once we have wee ones probably not easy either!

@Dweebette it must seem like forever until the 12 week scan! I'm determined not to test early from now on, it would just make that wait even longer.

Fingers crossed for all of us! And as I'm still on AF going to enjoy some more beers in the sun this afternoon!

Peachyx2505 · 05/07/2019 07:53

How's everyone getting on? Xx

blackfriars · 05/07/2019 10:43

Hi @Peachyx2505, I was just thinking about this thread this morning!

I'm having a bit of a weird month - moving has taken up so much head-space that I actually haven't thought that much about TTC! I also didn't know where I'd packed my ovulation tests so used that as a bit of an excuse to have a month off testing. We haven't DTD as much as I would like to have by this point, but given that, with the exception of my weirdly long cycle last month, I have got positive ovulation tests on CD 15, 16 or 17 we may still be okay. I am currently CD17 and we have DTD on CD11, 12, 16 and 17 (quickie this morning!) and will try to keep going now every day/every other day until AF just to be safe given what happened last month.

I am not very hopeful this month but I have to honest it has been really nice to be a bit distracted from it all.

How are you? Hope you and DH are holding up okay.

And how is everyone else? xx

Wannabemummy22 · 05/07/2019 17:06

Hi everyone. I ovulated yesterday CD16 so now into my TWW. feeling quite hopeful this month as have been DTD more often. It's our first wedding anniversary tomorrow so if it doesn't happen this month I think I will be quite distraught.

@blackfriars glad the move went well and you have managed to DTD. I was so tired when we moved house I wouldn't let DH anywhere near me 🤣

Skyla01 · 05/07/2019 18:40

Hi @Peachyx2505 how are things with you? I am cd7. Have ordered clearblue digital test (x20 sticks) to try this month. Not sure when to start using them (I ovulated cd30 last cycle), maybe cd15? Hoping my cycle will be a bit shorter this time- it's such a long time to wait! Will try and DTD fairly regularly anyway.

@blackfriars glad the move has gone well, now you can settle in to your new home together! Thinking less about ttc is probably a good thing. I wouldn't be pessimistic- sometimes things happen when you're distracted.

@Wannabemummy22 I hope the fact it is your anniversary is a good luck charm for you this month! It can be hard though if you pick out future dates, and by the time things come round your still trying. Baby dust to everyone this cycle!

Peachyx2505 · 05/07/2019 19:15

@blackfriars new house new baby....! Because your mind has been off it I wouldn't be surprised if this is your month 🤞🤞

@Skyla01 starting cd 15 is probably a good plan in case you ov earlier this month. Will be keeping everything crossed. 🤞🤞

@Wannabemummy22 what a lovely anniversary present that would be. 🤞🤞

Firstly... thank you ladies. We are baring up ok. Everything is near enough sorted for the funeral so we've been quite busy and not had much time to think about things. FIL has his ups and downs but he has amazing friends around him.
I believe I'm in the 2ww! I'm on cd 19 and anywhere between 3-6dpo. I'm guessing around 4 going on previous cycles. We dtd on cd 10,13 and 15 not much.... I'm surprised I remembered to note it down 😂

Hoping for some bfps xx

Wannabemummy22 · 06/07/2019 09:05

Woke up this morning to a message from a friend telling me of her BFP brought me right back down to earth and my DH woke up to a crying wife 🙁🙁

Skyla01 · 06/07/2019 10:53

Sorry to hear that @Wannabemummy22 it sometimes doesn't take much to push us over the edge. I sometimes feel like there can't be anyone left to get pregnant (except me) and then you get another announcement- wtf?! We just need to keep the faith that we will be making the announcement some day soon. I try and keep my mind / life busy with other things so I don't obsess too much over ttc. It's easier for me though as I've only been trying since March. Going to try and keep it up going forward. Please enjoy your anniversary today! Celebrate everything you have just now, I'm sure the future will bring the rest along in time.

@Peachyx2505 I'm glad things are getting organised. Your poor father in law- it must be so hard for him. I'm amazed you managed to keep ttc this month. Same as for @blackfriars if you've been distracted that might be a good time to conceive. Really hope there are some more bfps this cycle!

Wannabemummy22 · 06/07/2019 14:57

Thanks @Skyla01 it is good to talk to people who are going through the same thing. PMA from now on!! Fingers crossed for BFP's this month.

Louise190 · 07/07/2019 17:27

13DPO, lots of creamy CM and spotting. Various apps saying AF due today, 9th and 11th. Cramping consistent with PMS for last few days but CM is new. Desperately holding on to the tiniest bit of hope but truthfully know that AF will be here in full force in the next couple of days ☹️

Skyla01 · 07/07/2019 17:36

@Louise190 that's quite a range of AF due dates. If you are 13dpo you would be due tomorrow or Tuesday? You're not out until AF arrives. Fingers crossed for you this cycle.

Louise190 · 07/07/2019 18:37

I agree @Skyla01 I have been quite confused all cycle!

Louise190 · 08/07/2019 11:46

AF is here. Cycle 5 and August bus for me now. I know it's not actually that long in the grand scheme of things but I think I had this fairy tale idea in my head that it would just happen straight away or at least pretty quickly ☹️ patience is not my strong point!

Peachyx2505 · 08/07/2019 14:08

Sorry to hear that @Louise190 xx

Wannabemummy22 · 08/07/2019 19:17

@Louise190 sorry to hear AF has visited. I was exactly the same in thinking it would happen quickly. Last year was a big year for weddings and one by one they are all announcing BFP's.

Louise190 · 12/07/2019 17:00

My CB digital has arrived today! I can't see that it gives any indication of the best time of day to take the test.. does anyone know?
