Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

by the way have been loitering a little lately, kicking that sand outside the door again. Tried last month (oops, look, saying 'last' as though psychologically I've already moved on...). Period due today, and I do feel it's on the way. The month I didn't try I felt fab, was really happy with life. This month I've done ok, but the last few days have been a bit ropey, and another friend has just got pregnant and I just want to make her go and live somewhere else. Only FTCers around me, please. I've been throwing myself heavily into my running, and doing rather well with it too. Er, not to mention drinking like a person who doesn't care that they might be pickling their insides . I'm so fed up with putting life on hold for something that bloody well isn't happening.

Anyway, sorry I keep popping in with a ME ME ME then buggering off for days. Such a selfish unreliable dweller. The way I'm feeling at the moment, I might be rather more present soon.

C'days, I really am sorry that the IVF hasn't been the magic wand you wanted, although there is still hope xxx

oh impatience, i have missed you. am thinking of abandoning the ttc boards and just staying in the hut. too many BFPs too soon. i know i should be grateful that i have ds etc, but im sick of all this now. i just want to not think about it for a while, i hate this knowledge that my body is failing and there's nothing i can do about it.

Lissie, I hear you. Poor us. I don't check those threads at all now.

Suddenly in RL I know a few people who have been trying for a while, some of whom conceived first babies 1st time. That makes me feel a bit more normal. My hypothesis is that the damaging thing is the public myth that conception is always easy and it's just a matter of deciding and trying (or slipping up). If there was a bit more awareness perhaps us unlucky ones might not feel quite so much like failing freaks. If all the women in my office declared when they started trying, and then we all saw month after month of nothing, the occassional success would be really celebrated, and then anyone who had been trying for a while would get a more accurate picture of the stats and feel less miserable about themselves!

I think I've dribbled on in this fashion before on here!

OK. I've had a pep talk from my other web chat room:
My new mantra is "It ain't over til it's over"
It iss not all over for me yet - I have egg collection in a few days and though I may only get 2 (3 at a stretch|) - but (as I have been reminded numerous times by the IVF forum I'm on) we only need ONE fertilised egg.

S0 - if any of you have earthy / hippy / spiritual tendancies please can you be kind enoug to send me positive vibes / reiki / prayers or sing the fab Style Council song with me in mind.
