Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

ok seaside tell us about every conception aid INCLUDING the spell!!!!!!!

seaside72 · 17/05/2007 09:54

Ok Ok Ok - definitely too many smiley emoticons for the hut - enough already!

thanks everyone though - the hut and all of you have helped keep me sane the past few months, through DH's limping performances, BF preganancy (Oh Sh*ite- just realised ths means I now have no excuse not to organise her baby shower - bleurghhh) and the constant feelings of and - just wish I had found it and you all last year!

More Baileys anyone?

sideways · 17/05/2007 09:56

And the spell?????

seaside72 · 17/05/2007 10:04

Right - I will post all my conception aids if you want - but it will take a while so will try and compile all the info and come back later - Are you all sure you want me to waffle on about it??

sideways · 17/05/2007 13:22

Yes, we need every little detail. The whole list please.

And some more baileys wouldn't go amiss

beansprout · 17/05/2007 14:01

And Colin Firth please.

feedmenow · 17/05/2007 14:39

And a magic "take this pill" that will astoundingly make you pg!

seaside72 · 17/05/2007 17:51

Right - deep breath here we go-

Alternative therapies:
Feb - went to Natural Health/Chinese Medicine Doc- big blood tests - confirmed low ovarian reserve - started taking 2 herbal supplement mixes (mixed by doc)
Feb - Began going to Cranio Sacaral Osteopath again (used to go for IBS few years ago)
Feb - Started acupuncture - every week for three weeks and then every other week.
March - bought fertility spell on ebay (along with londonlottie)- but hey - some of the money went to charity ebay spell Although it may be a load of hoccum - I think the affirmation you have to say (and try not to giggle while saying it) about welcoming a baby into your life blah blah blah may actually be a good excercise even though I had a hard time not being sarcastic about it
April - began taking flower essence mixture morning and evening after reading this on MN -I mixed up my own solution and started straight in with both ingredients and also added in White Chestnut essence too when I found this website think I might have overdone the brandy a bit but I have to say I felt a lot calmer last month?

Conventional medicine:
Feb had first CD21 test to confirm ov - normal
Mar - DH sperm analysis - normal
April - CD21 again - normal
May - first appointment with consultant and booked in for CD3 test and lap/dye and or HSG for June???
and last but not least DH and I had a huge falling out because he got a job abroad at the end of April so was away from CD3-11 - went mental but then got over it and settled down for another 6ww. Anyway when he came back on CD11 we managed 4 shags - one a day CD11-14 and actually it was pretty spontaneous (as much as it has been for a while) Anyway we gave up again on CD15 and then had a limp one of CD 17 and then no more so TBH I was not that hopeful- never am?
So the moral of the sorry story is send your DH away for a few day pre ov and absence make the heart (read - penis!!) grow stronger.
Oh and we used preseed on 2 shags for the fist time also I am sure this must have helped?

All the above has cost a small fortune (although not as much as it would have done had we stil been in London - then it would have been double I think) but thats me - desperate and wiling to go bankrupt trying - and I was mentally getting ready for the IVF £ hit anyway! credit cards are a glorious thing

Anyway - I can hear the tumble weed whistling through the hut as you all shuffle off and point and stare at the weird desperate one!!

Here's another vat of Baileys and some ice.

Listen - girls - I tried to get the Firth to come back but after the last time he is not keen - understandably. But I have done a bit of a deal with Colin Farrell (he is a bit dirty but up for anything it seems) anyone interested??

seaside72 · 17/05/2007 17:53

Oh - and re that magic pill feedme - I dunno - will keep looking but maybe we should ask your bearded dragon!!!

feedmenow · 17/05/2007 19:43

Yeah! Why is it that no other creature seems to have trouble with conception? I mean, they get to the age where they are able, they have mating season and shag and then x-weeks/months later out pop the appropriate number of offspring! How many friggin infertile cats or dogs are there? Or cos? What about bloody rabbits, or mice!! How many of them have trouble with conception?????

feedmenow · 17/05/2007 19:46

Anyhow, what I really logged on to say was that I am sooo fecking stupid and am really cross with myseld
Although I say I'm not hopeful this month, I obviously am cos dp just asked me to help him move the washing machine and I thought I ought not to if I might be pg so I did a test and got a -tive. Of course I did! I'm only cd27. Possibly 13 days after ov, possibly only 11 days after ov, so what the hell was I thinking of? Now I just feel suitably disappointed and somewhat stupid

seaside72 · 17/05/2007 20:11

feedme
LOL about the animal kingdom - IKWYM - at the moment we are surrounded by sheep with lambs and I find myself thinking - they have one shag and pop out at least one, if not twins or triplets - year after year - whats up with that??

feedmenow · 17/05/2007 20:21

Maybe its cos they don't smoke, drink, take drugs or suffer from exucutive stress, sexual harrassment or depression. I reckon they probably eat a well balanced diet and get regular and varied exercise too!!!! Other than that, I certainly don't see why they pop out their offspring year in, year out with nothing more than a little "Baaaaa" (substitute appropriate noise for each animal, obviously! Don't know of any "baaa"ing cats!) and off they go!

duchesse · 17/05/2007 20:24

feedme- are you suggesting grass, grass at every meal is the way ahead?

eyes over-long lawn hungrily

OP posts:
seaside72 · 17/05/2007 20:27

grass -another spliff needs to be rolled I think!

duchesse · 17/05/2007 20:31

returns to this place of sanity, stamping off weird stuff and shaking sou'westerGrabs virtual spliff from Seaside and takes virtual drag

OP posts:
beansprout · 17/05/2007 20:48

Maybe sheep can't always conceive, but they don't have Sheepnet?

duchesse · 17/05/2007 20:50

Is that like a giant hairnet to keep their wool looking good?

Can you tell I went to the County Show today?

OP posts:
duchesse · 17/05/2007 20:52

And of course, the other little bijou point about sheep is that if they are barren, they become chops quite quickly. I think I made just such an comparison between my situation to my neighbour who is a dairy farmer, just the other day...

Yes, you may well wonder how my neighbour knew that I had lost a pregnancy. I wondered just the same thing myself at the time.

Moving swiftly on...

OP posts:
beansprout · 17/05/2007 20:55

Either the County Show or you have been swapping gags with my dad?

duchesse · 17/05/2007 20:56

Aaargh, no! Middle aged man puns!!! NOooooo....

May as well top myself now.

Soreheart · 18/05/2007 17:59

RIGHT. Hello All, Just had to spend 30 minutes catching up with posts. Very pleased for Seaside, and I'm really amazed by her list of 'help'. Very inspiring. Must have a think about this as have only been covering affirmations / spell and some medical tests which said I was ok. Herumph.

Fancy the new Turkish Spa, Duchesse. And sorry that AF managed to find you. I don't know how she gets around - a similar trick to F. Christmas, I expect.

Meanwhile, I am on CD23 today. Weestix say I haven't 'had a surge' at all this month. Great. Totally great. However, I am still absurdly optimistic that something might happen. Symptom spotting at Masters level.

I'm leaving fish & chips in the Hut - it is Friday after all. Get 'em while they're hot!

feedmenow · 19/05/2007 09:11
feedmenow · 19/05/2007 09:12

Chuckling, even! All this farmyard talk making me think of chicks!!

beansprout · 19/05/2007 12:05

Sorehut (or can I call you "cyclebud"? ) I have never had a single moment of joy from the weestix myself. I know I haven't used them by the book but I have pretty much given up on them. It seems that the windows for using them are so small that you have to use them 2-3 times a day. I prefer gunkwatching, but hey, I'm still here, so don't listen to me!!!!

Am miserable and fed up today. Am making ds (2.5) look like a rational human being compared to my sulky behaviour. It may be 2ww-itis. Am at the "don't even think I could manage another one so what the feck am I doing?" bit of cycle which is always a joy. Still, at least I am not trying to fathom out a test that would give me a reliable result at this stage of things....
