Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

A bit quiet? It's been deader than a doornail in here! But I suppose that is a good thing cos it means that nobody is gloomy enough to be in here!
I have a little predicament though.....we are invited to a wedding reception in a couple of months and I have a couple of issues with it. Firstly, it is around my should-have-been-due-date. And secondly, and more importantly, we will have to stay the night cos it is too far away, I don't really know anyone so planned on getting drunk (blush)but keep thinking that I could be pg by then. So if we book a room it will cost us £75, but if I am pg by then I a) won't be able to drink so will feel really shy and b) will probably be feeling v. sick and v. tired, so we would probably cancel and lose our £75. However, if we say "no" I probably won't be pg and we'll miss a potentially fun event! Woe is me, having to actually try and make a decision....

lissie · 26/05/2007 07:46

hmmm id go FMN, you deserve a knees up!

havent caught up properly, how are you all?

feedmenow · 26/05/2007 10:01

Hi Lissie. I assume everyone else is doing good cos nobody is here anymore!! Personally, I am feeling rather concerned about how close it is getting to my due date. I can remember not long after my mc reading others saying that they'd always assumed they'd be pg again by the time their due date had arrived, and how gutted they now were that it hadn't happened. And I thought "of course I'll be pg by the time my due date comes!". And now it is creeping nearere and nearer and I have to face the possibility that I won't be!

Soreheart · 26/05/2007 10:48

Ta, B-Sprout. Appreciate it. CD2. No surprises there, then. Fed up with no new change in our story. How're you?
FMN: I know it's nuts to spend so much time on 'plans'. Book it - you don't have to use the room - should things change. Probably get your money back, if you press.
Lissie, is everyone good out there? I do hope so.

lissie · 26/05/2007 12:26

tbh, ive seen a lot of hut dwellers about and they seem to be doing so well. FMN, i know what you mean, tomorrow it'll be 1y since i had my 2nd/4th mc and these damned anniversaries are getting closer each year

Chocolatedays · 26/05/2007 17:31

Hi Hut Peeps. I'm lurking now and then (not as much as I used too as I no longer work from home!). I've not a lot to add - just we are half way through IVF - which has generally been OK. I'm having a glum day focussing on the odds being stacked against us.... ho-hum.

FMN- book the hotel & party! I have put so much on hold waiting for the elusive bfp - it (almost/actually) becomes a form of self punishment. We've just got ourselves two seater sports car.... no longer holding out for a family car - we'll cross that bridge if/when... no if... it happens!

Hi to everyone else - shite weather isn't it!

Just wanted to say that several people on here might have something to tell us...

I am around, but just very busy in RL, and mostly lurking here.

OP posts:
Chocolatedays · 27/05/2007 14:15

That's great news Duchesse -
So, if you are lurking and may have some good news SPILL THE BEANS (when you are ready!)

We may moan about how loathesome we feel about our lot.... but ( & I think I speak for us all???) ... we're delighted to have people graduate from the hut - it certainly gives me hope I might move beyond the conception threads one day.

lissie · 27/05/2007 15:33

i get really excited when dwellers graduate, have even been known to cry

so if you have any news, dont just move over to the antenatal threads, spill first!

sideways · 27/05/2007 17:24

Just wanted to say thanks for all the congratulations .

Feels a bit weird thinking I shouldn't be in the Hut anymore. I definitely won't be going near any ante-natal threads for quite a long time, so I feel kind of homeless at the moment. I'll just wander aimlessly round the board for a bit...

I made some special gooey chocolate cake and some very potent pina coladas, if anyone's interested.

duchesse · 27/05/2007 17:28

I feel that becoming bored with our desert tent. Shall we move to a hamam today?

OP posts:
lissie · 27/05/2007 17:54

ooh thanks sideways

duchesse, why not!

beansprout · 27/05/2007 20:32

Hi everyone, I also have some news - got a bfp yesterday. Feeling very anxious of course but am taking things slowly.

The move sounds like a good idea!

sideways · 27/05/2007 21:04

beansprout - . Brilliant news. Can we feel anxious together?

beansprout · 27/05/2007 21:45

Abso-bloody-lutely!!

Soreheart · 28/05/2007 10:08

Oh Beansprout, well done! And lovely. Take it very easy.
Did a new thread start?

seaside72 · 28/05/2007 13:46

how about a new hamman hut thread here and another new hut graduates thread for those with unbelieveable BFP's?
"hut graduates- STC but in denial - when is it all going to go wrong"??

beansprout · 28/05/2007 15:29

Seaside - that sounds like a fab idea. Am torn between trying to feel optimistic and the feeling that my body isn't quite up to the job and something is bound to go wrong.

Will start it in ante-natal...

duchesse · 28/05/2007 15:48

Way to go Beanie! Are they really ready for our particular brand of optimism in Ante-Natal?

OP posts:
lissie · 28/05/2007 15:50

makes a change from any moaning about ms. i swear the next time i am pg i will cherish every dry retch!

duchesse · 28/05/2007 15:52

I dream of the day when cautious, common sensical pessimism rules on ante-natal boards. I already perceive that the formerly inappropriately bouncy tone of the conception board has come down a notch or two. Or maybe I'm just not going near the madly perky ones...

OP posts:
lissie · 28/05/2007 16:08

lol, i actually dont see the really upbeat ones now, i've trained my eyes to do the visual equivilant of sticking my finger in my ears and singing lalala laaalaaa evry time theres one with baby dust and bump vibes in active convos

beansprout · 28/05/2007 16:29

I haven't actually seen someone sprinkle babydust for a while...

lissie · 28/05/2007 17:46

good job... GRRRRR

did i scare ya? did i?

beansprout · 28/05/2007 18:10

Eek!!
